I've been coming to Modish Nail Bar for many months, and they've never let me down. I love that they are very reliable with their appointment times, I've never had to wait long and they have done a great job with every visit. The staff are consistently friendly, attentive, and I love how the shop is always playing some sports and music which keeps the place a fun vibe for men and women alike. Pro tip: If they offer you a complimentary drink, one of my favorites here is their Vietnamese coffee. I kid you not, I look forward to it with every trip, it's one of my favorite parts of coming here. Highly recommend this place for pedicures! read more

I'm a fan of this nail salon. I've been visiting for about a year now and see the same person each time who does my dip manicure and another does my pedicure and have been pleased every visit. It's a big nail salon and they're open late which is what even led me here in the first place! The hours of operation help when work schedules are all over the place. You get two free drinks. They have a number of cocktails to choose from. I will say since I've been visiting for a year, I have seen the prices increase and that's been a bummer (I know, I know inflation sucks right now), but the quality of service continues to remain the same. read more

I chose this salon because it was open at a later hour than others and I really wanted to treat my auntie who had never been to such a place. I agree with the other comments about being overcharged. However, it was perfect for what we needed at the time. Ann was amazing and the tech who took care of my auntie was gentle and understanding. That was priceless to me. I stumbled upon this great nail salon! They are open late which is great for my busy schedule! But so far their services have been awesome! Tess and Tony have done great on my dip nails. Last night Tess reshaped my nails and spent so much time making sure they were even and shaped right! Tate has done my pedicures each time and is wonderful! I definitely recommend them! read more

My nail technician seemed to have an attitude like he didn't want to be there and was impatient. Other than that I did like the establishment. It was nice, clean and spacious. They have a bar and non alcoholic drinks. Plenty of colors to choose from and tvs around the room. There were men and women who seemed to be enjoying their service. read more

I have been coming here for a while and usually I don't have an issue but now they are getting big service is declining. I had an appointment for 11 I got there they said they had no one. Ashley puts me on her schedule to come back I come back and she tries to force me to get gel x after I insisted I wanted acrylic and never had gel ex. She said they last 4 weeks or more and they're very hard to come off. I get plain nails not even that long and she never mentions all her nails no matter what start at 100. She did nothing special and after a week they were all lifting. Now it's been not even a full 2 weeks and they've all popped off. She just wanted to do some fast nails and now I am over charged and I would recommend to not go to Ashley or make sure she's up front and doesn't swindle you. Do these look like 100 starting nails to yall???? Not to mention they try to force gel on toes if u don't it's an extra 5 dollar fee. read more

This place is the best!!!!! Got to love Tony for the nails and Kim (from Oscar Nails) for the pedicure! Love the Milk and Honey, it's super relaxing! The quality of everything here is amazing! They do not rush your experience! Beautiful decor all over from the second you walk in, Modish features a wall decorated out of this world! Everything is high end with a smile! Even a little area for girls to get their toes done with the Hello Kitty chairs in the back! Huge TV screens to watch the game or other things playing! All crystal clean! I feel like this place robbed me. Walked in and asked how much for a medium length full set.., the man at the front said it would be $65 w/gel polish. It seemed reasonable so I agreed. Nails were done by Karen. She was very sweet and very attentive. I was very satisfied with her work. She did a beautiful job. However when it was time to pay, I was charged $95!! I have never paid this much for a practically basic nail set. I got medium almond shape with off white gel colored tip. $30 over what I was quoted. I usually tip very good but with this price charge, it took out of my budget to leave a decent tip to the nail tech. I felt awful. I'm hoping in leaving this review that the owner will have reasonable prices to allow customers to be more generous to their techs. read more

We got the stress relief pedicures. The shoulder heating pads felt amazing. Me and my mom felt the staff did a half a* job doing our massages and painting our toes. It felt very rushed. The ladies doing our toes were more focused on their conversation. They only have certain complementary drinks. It's not a full bar just an fyi. I moved back to DFW 6 months ago after moving back to PA for 4 years. I spent the 1st 3 months here trying to find "my place" and finally...MODISH NAILS is "that place"! I love it so much I almost don't want to write this review in fear that I won't be able to book this gem of a nail tech named Cat! She is all that! (Hey! That rhymes) She takes her time, she's gentle, and my feet haven't looked this good in a very long time. Now let's talk about Chloe for my fingernails! A PERFECTionist. When you can't stop looking at your nails for days after because you know they're done right. I can't believe I'm spilling all the tea over at MODISH; but both of these women are PHENOMENAL! My ten yr old even has her favorite tech, Mona! I drive all the way from Forney/Heath/Terrell area. And I gladly will make the drive every month because they are just that awesome! read more

Gel-X manicure with short almond set and Gel classic pedicure. Cartier did my nails. Did a great job He was very nice and gentle They put my shoes in a bag for me so that I could wear those foam sandals after my feet were done. I forgot who did my feet but she did them before and does an awesome job massaging them. They put hot towels around your feet too I like being able to come in and it not be a headache for me. When I walked in, I was greeted with friendly staff and they have a really cute Photo Booth to take pics with when you walk in. They have almost any and every color you can think of... chrome, cat eye, they have it all! The place smells good, it's clean, and the nail techs are AMAZING! Will definitely be coming back. I originally came when they opened earlier this year, and I haven't stopped since. The color variety alone makes it worthwhile, but they also have a simple points system so I've been able to get $10 off every now and again in the few months I've been coming. Everyone who works here is super kind and they're actually really popular for their design work. You get 2 complimentary drinks with every service, and they get so festive for the holidays. Even my boyfriend likes coming here, surprisingly. It's also nice that they put on whatever big game is playing on this HUGE TV wall they have. Services are well-priced and cheaper than most salons in this area. Tony and Amy are both some of my favorites when I go there, just sweethearts and always do my nails well and quick (but not too quick). read more

I recently visited this salon for the first time, and I walked out in a state of shock and disbelief at the level of service I received. My friend and I decided to take a break from work to de-stress, and upon entering, I was impressed by how nice and spacious the place looked. However, that was where the positives ended. I asked for a simple chrome design with a clear base coat, rather than the usual black or white, to avoid visible chipping. The technician struggled to achieve the chrome effect with the clear base and, after several unsuccessful attempts, forcefully insisted on using black instead. When I reiterated my preference for a clear base, she responded rudely and said she would get someone else to do my nails. I want to be clear that this is something I get all the time at another salon with no issues. I thanked her for her time, explaining that I just wanted what I had asked for, especially given the cost. She dismissively told me, "we all have different ways of doing things," and then passed me to the manager. I informed the manager that I was running out of time and would be fine with just a clear coat at this point. The manager insisted that someone else finished the design, so I agreed. Another technician took over. After she finished the first nail I asked her if I could see it. After looking at it the design and color were not what I wanted, and when I asked her to just give me a clear coat, she rudely buffed away the chrome leaving a lot of it behind therefore making nails yellow-stained and unfinished. The manager returned to ask how I wanted to pay. Initially, he said it would be $10 due to the trouble, but after speaking with another tech, he handed me a bill for $40. When I attempted to provide feedback at the front desk, another woman interjected and dismissively suggested giving me $5 off, ignoring my complaints about the poor service. Ultimately, I paid the $40 plus a 20% tip, as I was told it went to the techs. It was never about the money. I left with yellow-stained nails and a headache, feeling more stressed than when I arrived. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, and I always strive to be polite and empathetic, as I work in customer service myself. However, the dismissive and rude attitude from multiple staff members was unacceptable. All I wanted was a relaxing break and a simple design, but I left with a disappointing experience and unfinished nails. I hope they take this feedback seriously and work on improving their customer service. read more

Do not come here. The environment and the nail salon itself is really cute and modern, but when I took off a set, my nails were destroyed. They tried to upsell me on dip when I didn't even want it, and my nails were so expensive and started lifting, four days later, they did not include cutting cuticles in the price. The day after I got my new full set,one of the nails literally ripped off and I had to go back the day after and get them put on -- when I asked why they didn't cut my cuticles, they said it was not included in their price and that I had to pay for a separate full manicure for it. There's a really good nail salon closer to downtown Dallas that starts with a G that's really good. Go there read more

I got gel-x and the silver was way more metallic and mirror like when it was being applied, the top coat made it dull but that's not their fault. There's a little too much gel glue that goes past my real nails when she applied the tips but the set did overall come out nice read more

If I could give them a negative 10 I would/ hopefully this review will help others from experiencing the attitude nastiness and overcharging I just experienced. First and foremost- worst pedicure my husband has ever had - and over $275 for two pedicures and an acrylic set and I brought my own chrome - they nickel and dime you to death - they are rude and I will admit Amish was great as was Jenny- the manager was awful-and I'm sure they don't care that they could have had a steady client- they opted to overcharge me and give my husband the worst pedicure in Dallas and the first tech cut my toe when cutting my toenail and yes, it's still sore. I promise- you should save your money and never step foot in that shop! read more

Set up an appointment for 4 - they totally ignored me for 45 minutes til I ask while doing mani pedis on the other 3 women - asked twice - was told we don't have enough people - why not tell me prior to waiting 45 minutes- why set up an appointment 2 weeks in advance - worst customer service ever - not even apologetic for ignoring me. The salon its self is very beautiful. The shape of my nails however, was awful. Very inconsistent and when I asked about the shape they told me it's because my nail was crooked. I had acrylic added to my toes and the acrylic was two different lengths and they didn't shape them. The cost is ridiculous for the quality of the services. I'm giving a two because they were very nice to us. But won't be going to this salon again. read more

The customer service here is absolutely HORRIBLE. They don't care about their clients, appointments mean NOTHING. Don't waste your time sitting here waiting for someone to come serve you, they are not coming. They would rather sit there on their phones & ignore paying REPEAT customers. However the woman who did my eyebrows was excellent and very sweet and professional. I was just kinda disappointed in the appointment as a whole, especially after seeing all the good reviews on here. Pro tip: If you're planning to walk in, call ahead first. My most recent visit was the final straw. I booked a 10:00 AM appointment--right when they opened--yet my technician didn't show up until 10:10 AM. Things only went downhill from there. I gave the tech my chosen dip powder color and asked for a matching shade for my toes. She assured me she had one, but as you can see in the attached photos, the colors are completely different--my hands are a muted coral-pink and my toes are bright red. I even asked two other staff members to help find the correct match afterward, but neither could. The actual application and shaping were just as bad. The initial shape was crooked and uneven across different nails, forcing me to step in and redirect her throughout the process. When she was finished, my cuticles still looked unkempt, and there was excess product stuck under my nails, along my nail beds, and smudged on my skin. I literally had to sit in my car after the appointment picking residual product off my fingers before I could drive away. To top it all off, I came in with coffin-shaped nails and simply requested to keep the same coffin shape. Despite not changing my shape, I was hit with an extra charge for "shaping and filing," with the explanation that anything other than basic square now incurs an additional fee. Between the lack of punctuality, poor attention to detail, inaccurate color pairing, messy application, and nickel-and-diming for basic maintenance, this salon has completely lost its standards. After years of loyalty, I will not be returning.

It feels like her concerns weren't really addressed in the moment. Additionally, she asked for a tapered square shape, but the tech told her she should ask for coffin nails next time. We know what a tapered square looks like, so that exchange felt unnecessarily dismissive. Another reason for the rating drop is that we were charged for "length"--but we both got fairly short nails. We even posted photos because it's unclear where that extra charge came from. I'm not expecting a refund, and I understand that a salon in downtown Dallas will likely cost more, but with higher pricing should come a more consistent quality of service. While parts of the experience were positive, the discomfort my friend is still dealing with, along with the shape miscommunication and unclear pricing, made this visit fall short of expectations.

This was my second time going to Modish nail. I had Tony and Hamesh/Hames. Tony was amazing did my toes great. Hamesh did my nails good too so I came back for a fill. Prior to that he asked me to follow him on instagram for my fill, so I did. I booked the appointment. He was weird and didn't talk to me as much when I came back. Nails came out fine. I work as a waitress so it's not that rough on my nails. Plus my first set lasted 3 almost 4 weeks. Which is why I even went back. My fill lasted only 4 days. When I texted him saying they were lifting after a couple days he said to come in but l worked that day. So I texted him today (a week and a half after my fill) asking if he could still fix them and that l've been glueing them back on all week. He then said it's too late. And that he's not doing them again. He was very rude and aggressive with me. Knowing I paid $175 for the set at that. 0/10 stars. If you go to Modish nail avoid Hames at all costs. I used to come to Modish Nail Bar about two years ago, but I stopped because of the poor customer service. Today, since I was in the area, I decided to give them another chance. Unfortunately, my experience was even worse than before. The nail technician had a very negative attitude and was unnecessarily aggressive toward me throughout my service. I was treated in a way that made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, despite being polite and respectful. I am extremely disappointed that the customer service has not improved. After this experience, I will not be returning to Modish Nail Bar, and I cannot recommend it to others. This is an amazing nail bar. Tonight was my first time to try it out and I loved it! The staff is very friendly and welcoming - the nail bar is very clean - the atmosphere has a fun, upbeat vibe to it - they offer drinks - there are tvs throughout the place and tonight, on the big-screen tv, we were able to watch the Ranger game while getting manicures/pedicures. I will definitely be back!! if you are looking for a nail bar....give this one a try - you won't be disappointed!!
