I have loved going here. I've been twice now and both times the customer service has been great. I used to drive further for a place similar and i was very glad i found this place closer to my house Easy to make appointments online which is crucial for me. I hate having to call all the time. I asked for the same yellow color on my hands and toes and was told yes. My pedicure was yellow, but my Gel-X nails ended up white. The owner brushed it off as a misunderstanding and offered no real solution or compensation. The techs did a great job, but management left me disappointed. read more

I have not found a good nail salon ever since I moved to Dallas downtown area. Finally based on the review and location, I decided yo make an appointment with this salon. Have had ingrown on my big toes for years, some nail technician could do a gentle corner-cut, some just don't. Coming with a little anxious of how they could do this part well, they have Nathan did the pedi for me. What an absolute great experience, he gets all the corners cut and shape correctly so it doesn't hurt me anymore!! Thanks Nathan for an awesome ingrown nail treatment you did to me! Mani is also well done by Jessie. The gel is not too thin and not too thick, it's just right! Overall I'm very pleased with their service and excellent customer-service. After searching the white rock area, I have found my new favorite nail salon!! Shadow Nail Spa had an inviting energy from the moment I walked in the door. Everyone I met was kind from start to finish. They provided excellent massage chairs during my pedicure and a complimentary drink as well (my mimosa was a fabulous addition to a spa morning). The pedicure was one of the best I've ever had, truly. My tech truly cared about my comfort, how the pedicure looked and gave a foot massage that can not be matched. I couldn't be happier to have such a great nail salon nearby. It's no secret that East Dallas doesn't have a ton of options and while the other salons that I've been to are fine, it's only Shadow Nail Spa that goes above and beyond. The customer service is always impeccable, it's clean and the color options are plentiful. I highly recommend Nancy or Karen for pedis and Tiffany is incredible for nail art. The location can almost look closed from the outside due to the heavily tinted windows but go in and give them a chance- you won't regret it! read more

I am new to town and was looking for a new nail salon for an acrylic fill. I had Nina and I had expressed to her that my job is mechanical so I like them short but still shaped. She did the perfect shape and shortened them EXACTLY as I had asked. They were great. After that they switched me to Viviana who finished my fill and gel polish. The nails are beautiful and exactly what I asked for. I did come in as a walk in on a busy Sunday so it did take some time but I'm sure if I made an appointment it would have been prompt. This nail spa is the BEST. I've gone here four times since they opened and the service is great every time. From the reception area to the pedi chairs, you'll feel like you're the only customer in the room. They do their best to make sure you're happy with the service. They're running a 20% grand opening special right now which is great when you get multiple services like I do. Every time I've gotten my nails done here I've received lots of compliments. I have been coming here for over a year. We don't have very many nail salon options on this side of East Dallas. I feel like every time I go it goes slightly down hill each time. My pedicure is always decent- what I expect from any nail salon. However I would be better off doing my own nails at home. I think the pictures speak for themself. Won't be coming back. I've come to Shadow a few times and this will definitely be the last. I got a gel mani pedi - pedicure was fine, nothing to write home about. The technician seemed to be trying to finish as fast as she could in order to go a few chairs over and do her own pedicure. I will go elsewhere to get my nails redone ASAP. The polish is crooked, a week's growth away from the cuticles, not smooth (fuzz from cotton balls that is stuck underneath polish), and did not trim the cuticles sufficiently. read more

Everything here is now just right. Still clean with comfy chairs. Manager and my nail technicians consistently courteous, professional and my nails are done perfectly every time. Spa-like music in the background, the usual HGTV and cooking shows if you're not in the phone zone. My go-to techs for nail perfection--Julie for lavender pedicures and Andy for my dip pink and white. Masks are still worn, thankfully. For the germ-aphobes, putting the trash cans by the restroom door would make it easier to throw away paper towels after using them to open the door. I've once again found my spot. Thanks! read more

Staff members were extremely sweet and top notch. Everyone was friendly from the receptionist to the nail tech that did my pedicures and dip nails. I got the Milk & Honey pedicure and my legs felt soft and smooth right after the treatment. My dip nail also turned out beautifully. This is my defintely my go to place from now on! read more

Would not return. Nails are different shapes, had 3 tips put on and these nails are longer than my natural. Nail tech just argued with me when I mentioned some were round vs almond. Paid for the nexgen dip + mani which includes a short massage - my arm "massage" lasted less than 45 seconds total. read more

Walked in and was seated right away. Nick was amazing and really took his time. I have been searching for a good nail salon for a few months and this hands down will be my go-to! All the staff were super friendly and helpful! The pricing was amazing ( $38 for a gel mani) and I even added a paraffin dip for only $10 more. 10/10 recommend! This place is under new management and I had the best experience. The salon is quiet, complete with trickling water installations. They have books with the corresponding powder and nail polish color (that's always the most time consuming part of the process for me Bc I'm shallow it really bothers me when they don't match). I went in for a dip manicure and pedicure. The woman who did my pedicure was a middle-aged woman who seemed older than the rest of the staff. She gave me a great pedicure and I have no complaints. The younger man that did my dip powder and manicure....I bled while he cut my cuticles. I told him I was bleeding. He kept on dipping and painting my nails. No alcohol! No first aid! i went to pay and the lady at the front (may have been the owner) was horrified at the shape of my cuticles and bleeding. She applied alcohol and helped with my cuticles. This is the only reason I am giving the place 2 stars. it seems they have people who do a good job and some who need retraining in sanitization and service. read more

I asked for my credit to be refunded, because class pass charges a late cancellation fee. If I were to cancel on my end, the owner did nothing to try to help me accommodate for her late cancellation on me. I am very confused why this business wouldn't remove their account from class pass if they don't accept credits... but I have reported the business to class pass and I'm hoping that other people avoid the mistake I made by booking on there. I'm a firm believer that some businesses should go out of business, especially if they're poorly managed...

Honey was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. She took the time to educate me about my nails and explain the different services they offer, which I genuinely appreciated. My technician, Tia, started my appointment right on time. She was quiet but checked in with me to make sure she understood what I wanted. While the service itself wasn't bad, there wasn't anything that stood out. At other salons I've visited, the experience typically ends with small finishing touches--like applying lotion or a brief hand massage--but this service felt very basic. I still tipped Tia 20% because Honey worked me into the schedule during what would have been Tia's break, and I appreciated that accommodation. Unfortunately, once I got home and removed my contacts so I could see my nails more clearly, I noticed several details that became more apparent over the next few days. It appeared the polish wasn't properly sealed, and one nail had missing polish along the side before I ever left the salon. Since my nails were completely dry when I departed, I believe those issues should have been caught before the service was finished. For me, the overall experience wasn't worth the drive or the price I paid. The video of my nails tells the story better than this caption ever could. That said, based on my interaction with Honey, I genuinely believe booking with her could result in a different experience. She made a great first impression, and if I were to return, I would specifically request an appointment with her.

This is so they are able to charge if you are late or a no show. I was told by them that they expect clients to be accountable as they are, so I went along with it because I understood. They will charge me if I am late but give 15% off if they are late as well. First appt was ok but they were late. I had to wait about 15 or 20 min. The appt for hard gel I had took 3 hours! Yet I was ok. I was trusting them and the process. I made my next 2 appts at that time. The second visit took just as long if not longer. I had plans but was not able to keep them as they were because the appt took so long. I never got the chance to go to the third appt which I made two months prior and had planned right before a vacation. They sent a text the day before asking if it was ok to move my appt to a new tine. I declined because again I had plans for that day. They then sent multiple confusing texts asking me to change my appt time which I didn't understand when they originally asked and I declined. They finally called and confirmed my original appt. They then sent a text on the day of my appt two hours before to say the tech had the flu and they would have to reschedule me and gave me 5 or so random appt choices during the morning hours as if I don't work. So very unprofessional. If you value your time do not waste it on this establishment. I overlooked the contract, the high prices and the long timeframe for the service but I will not compromise on how I am treated. I will never go back and I encourage you to not waste your time or money with this establishment either. Value yourself, your time and your money!

I'm typically a little boring with my nail color selection, but Trice has done a great job of gently pushing me outside of my box. She keeps my nails and toes looking great, and I always get compliments when I'm out and about. This place is under new management and I had the best experience. The salon is quiet, complete with trickling water installations. They have books with the corresponding powder and nail polish color (that's always the most time consuming part of the process for me Bc I'm shallow it really bothers me when they don't match). Walked in and immediately thought it was so beautiful! There were a variety of nail colors to choose from. I choose a lavender purple in the form of dip. Cara did an outstanding job of doing my nails! I was very happy with the outcome and wish to get many more colors done there. I've been going to Nina (new(ish) owner) for years. Today I took my niece with me for a mani/pedi. They were sooooo sweet with her. They gave her chips, a tootsie roll, and a sprite. She was in heaven. They were so gentle with her little skin and nails. Even with her fidgety self, they did a great job. Definitely taking her back. read more
