My boyfriend and I came to get pedicures in a manicure... while the service started off great and the owner came in said hello. It did not end well.. I got a gel pedicure and press the end of the service I told her that the nail was crooked. She kept filing it in the opposite direction and didn't understand what I was saying.. she had someone else come and she tried to fix it, but it was filed so incredibly low that now it hurts too walk. They did not discount it they did. They charge us for highly disappointed in the service and lack of service recovery. read more

I have loved going here. I've been twice now and both times the customer service has been great. I used to drive further for a place similar and i was very glad i found this place closer to my house Easy to make appointments online which is crucial for me. I hate having to call all the time. Make an appointment online, get a confirmation message...easy as pie Did a good job on my nails. Vibe is chill and i definitely don't feel rushed inside. Place that's nice and relaxing read more

Hello fellow Yelpers & Yelpettes! Went to Shadow Nail spa last minute. Kevin my manicurist was awesome Super polite I had the volcano pedicure. Left with very happy feet. Would highly recommend them as it is off the beaten path and wasn't terribly busy. 1. Off beaten path -- YEAH! 2. Plenty of parking. 3. Professional staff who make you feel welcome! I have not found a good nail salon ever since I moved to Dallas downtown area. Finally based on the review and location, I decided yo make an appointment with this salon. Have had ingrown on my big toes for years, some nail technician could do a gentle corner-cut, some just don't. Coming with a little anxious of how they could do this part well, they have Nathan did the pedi for me. What an absolute great experience, he gets all the corners cut and shape correctly so it doesn't hurt me anymore!! Thanks Nathan for an awesome ingrown nail treatment you did to me! Mani is also well done by Jessie. The gel is not too thin and not too thick, it's just right! Overall I'm very pleased with their service and excellent customer-service. Thanks guys, definitely will be back again! read more

After searching the white rock area, I have found my new favorite nail salon!! Shadow Nail Spa had an inviting energy from the moment I walked in the door. Everyone I met was kind from start to finish. They provided excellent massage chairs during my pedicure and a complimentary drink as well (my mimosa was a fabulous addition to a spa morning). The pedicure was one of the best I've ever had, truly. My tech truly cared about my comfort, how the pedicure looked and gave a foot massage that can not be matched. I HIGHLY recommend coming to this salon! read more

I couldn't be happier to have such a great nail salon nearby. It's no secret that East Dallas doesn't have a ton of options and while the other salons that I've been to are fine, it's only Shadow Nail Spa that goes above and beyond. The customer service is always impeccable, it's clean and the color options are plentiful. I highly recommend Nancy or Karen for pedis and Tiffany is incredible for nail art. The location can almost look closed from the outside due to the heavily tinted windows but go in and give them a chance- you won't regret it! read more

I am new to town and was looking for a new nail salon for an acrylic fill. I had Nina and I had expressed to her that my job is mechanical so I like them short but still shaped. She did the perfect shape and shortened them EXACTLY as I had asked. They were great. After that they switched me to Viviana who finished my fill and gel polish. The nails are beautiful and exactly what I asked for. I did come in as a walk in on a busy Sunday so it did take some time but I'm sure if I made an appointment it would have been prompt. I will definitely come back. read more

This nail spa is the BEST. I've gone here four times since they opened and the service is great every time. From the reception area to the pedi chairs, you'll feel like you're the only customer in the room. They do their best to make sure you're happy with the service. They're running a 20% grand opening special right now which is great when you get multiple services like I do. Every time I've gotten my nails done here I've received lots of compliments. They are masters with dip, ombre, nail extension and design. Definitely my new long term nail place. Note: the nails in the photos are 4 days old. read more

I have been coming here for over a year. We don't have very many nail salon options on this side of East Dallas. I feel like every time I go it goes slightly down hill each time. My pedicure is always decent- what I expect from any nail salon. However I would be better off doing my own nails at home. I think the pictures speak for themself. The dip is over my cuticle on each finger, I paid $15 extra for the dip MANICURE thinking my nails would be a bit cleaner looking surrounded my actual nail. I was ABSOLUTELY MISTAKEN! read more

Won't be coming back. I've come to Shadow a few times and this will definitely be the last. I got a gel mani pedi - pedicure was fine, nothing to write home about. The technician seemed to be trying to finish as fast as she could in order to go a few chairs over and do her own pedicure. I will go elsewhere to get my nails redone ASAP. The polish is crooked, a week's growth away from the cuticles, not smooth (fuzz from cotton balls that is stuck underneath polish), and did not trim the cuticles sufficiently. read more

Everything here is now just right. Still clean with comfy chairs. Manager and my nail technicians consistently courteous, professional and my nails are done perfectly every time. Spa-like music in the background, the usual HGTV and cooking shows if you're not in the phone zone. My go-to techs for nail perfection--Julie for lavender pedicures and Andy for my dip pink and white. Masks are still worn, thankfully. For the germ-aphobes, putting the trash cans by the restroom door would make it easier to throw away paper towels after using them to open the door. I've once again found my spot. Thanks! read more

I went in for a dip manicure and pedicure. The woman who did my pedicure was a middle-aged woman who seemed older than the rest of the staff. She gave me a great pedicure and I have no complaints. The younger man that did my dip powder and manicure....I bled while he cut my cuticles. I told him I was bleeding. He kept on dipping and painting my nails. No alcohol! No first aid! i went to pay and the lady at the front (may have been the owner) was horrified at the shape of my cuticles and bleeding. She applied alcohol and helped with my cuticles. This is the only reason I am giving the place 2 stars. it seems they have people who do a good job and some who need retraining in sanitization and service. read more

I've been going to Nina (new(ish) owner) for years. Today I took my niece with me for a mani/pedi. They were sooooo sweet with her. They gave her chips, a tootsie roll, and a sprite. She was in heaven. They were so gentle with her little skin and nails. Even with her fidgety self, they did a great job. Definitely taking her back. read more

Also two rough textured fingernails where one cracked and popped off in less than 24 hours. The technician took over two hours to complete the email job after removing the gel polish 3 times due to mishaps in her process. I asked Lisa when I arrived at 10 and was informed she will be here in 10 minutes. An hour later into the pedicure O asked again , she again said 10 mins. 10 mins later two techs arrived and advised Lisa is at the doctor. There was acrylic on one of my toes from the previous week where I asked the tech to provide an overlay on a split nail. I asked her thin it out several times and she either didn't understand or just what she created was acceptable.. this week I asked the tech four times to remove it all together and she seemed displeased at my request and finally removed it force instead of soaking it off. It is a good idea to have technical talent to perform the required skills of the trade in your absence. I would hope to have the great spa I experienced on my first visit with Lisa but this not the case. I was burned by the nail drill and nautical nails damaged by improper drilling as well as left with a gel light under my feet 5 mins after the 50 second dry time. I'm hoping Lisa can redo my nails and correct the issues. Otherwise I am left with no stars for this business rating.

I originally reserved a manicure and pedicure online, but after my reservation was confirmed, I received a call saying they couldn't accommodate the gel pedicure with builder gel I requested, so I had to reschedule. When I arrived, there was a very strong sewer smell throughout the salon. I'm not sure if this is a constant issue, but I wish I had been made aware beforehand. Everyone who worked there was very kind, but the towels being used consistently had hairs on them or looked dirty, which was disappointing given the salon's emphasis on cleanliness. I ended up getting a gel pedicure and gel removal, but they ran out of time for my builder gel and I was left with bare nails that weren't trimmed very neatly. One even broke as I was leaving. I also wish someone had told me about Dazzle Dry, which I thought was a really cool product and something I'd never seen before. Overall, I really wanted to love miniLUXe, but unfortunately the experience didn't live up to what I expected from the reviews, branding, and price point.
