I simply get natural nail manicures and pedicures with clean cuticle work, short nails, and a semi-shiny buff. It sounds simple, but proper natural nail care takes skill and attention to detail, and BeYou consistently delivers. After a very disappointing manicure and pedicure at another salon left my nails over-trimmed, my cuticles improperly cared for, and even resulted in an injury to my toe, I came straight to BeYou. Their technician immediately recognized what had gone wrong and carefully explained why the manicure technique I had received was not appropriate. They did everything they could to correct the cuticle work, reshape my nails, and make me comfortable again. While they couldn't undo nails that had already been cut too short or heal an injured toe, they absolutely salvaged the experience. What I appreciate most is the consistency. Every visit is thorough, meticulous, and never feels rushed. The staff is always kind, welcoming, and genuinely invested in doing quality work rather than just getting you in and out the door. Pro tip: If you're planning to walk in, call ahead first. They're popular for a reason and can get busy, but every time I've called on my way over, they've either been able to fit me in or let me know the best time to come by shortly afterward so I haven't had to sit around waiting. I really wanted to like BeYOU Nail Bar on Lemmon more than I did. The salon itself is clean, attractive, and well organized, and the person who did my treatment was excellent. He gave me a wonderful, strong massage and did a great job. My three-star rating is not a reflection of his work. Where this place fell short was the hospitality and overall attitude. I believe the manager's name was Alex. From the moment I walked in for my first visit, he seemed annoyed rather than welcoming. When I asked whether my technician could give a strong massage, he told me I could tell him myself. I then asked whether the technician spoke English well enough for me to explain what I wanted. Alex seemed offended that I asked. As it turned out, my question was completely reasonable because my technician had difficulty understanding what I was asking and repeatedly told me he wasn't sure what I meant. Again, the technician himself was wonderful once we got everything communicated. This is not a criticism of him. It is a management/customer-service issue. A guest should be able to ask a simple communication question without being made to feel uncomfortable about asking it. The salon has a nice drink menu with cocktails and sparkling wine, and I appreciated that they serve them in real glassware rather than disposable cups. Unfortunately, nobody offered me a drink, so I eventually had to ask. The glasses also don't fit in the cup holders at the treatment chairs, which is a strange oversight. On my second drink I specifically asked for ice, and that request was ignored. The bigger issue was the overall feeling that the staff would rather visit with one another than engage with their customers. At several points I felt more like an inconvenience than a guest. That's disappointing for a business where the experience and hospitality are supposed to be part of what you're paying for. One other small thing: I brought my own nail polish and asked whether there was a discount. Many salons I've visited deduct $4 or $5 when you provide your own polish. I simply asked whether they did the same and was given a very abrupt "No." There's nothing wrong with having that policy, but once again, it was the delivery rather than the answer. The good: very clean and organized salon, nice beverage choices, real glassware, and my technician gave an excellent massage and treatment. The disappointing: an unwelcoming management attitude, lack of attention to basic hospitality, communication issues that weren't handled graciously, and staff who seemed more interested in talking among themselves than taking care of customers. Even when things haven't gone perfectly in the past, my nails still turned out great about 90% of the time. So I was genuinely taken aback by today's experience or at least part of it. First, let me give credit where it's due: Louis, you killed it as always. Your dedication, your artistry, and your commitment to giving the best possible service never go unnoticed. Even though the cat-eye design wasn't possible this time, my nails still look amazing because of your skill and professionalism. Thank you for consistently showing pride in your work. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about my pedicure experience. I came in with a clear vision and even showed the design the same one Louis understood immediately but the nail tech doing my pedicure could not execute it. After five attempts, I was almost sent out the door with something that looked like a tic‑tac‑toe board. At that point, I had to advocate for myself and say, "No, this is not what I asked for," and request that it be removed and replaced with a simple cat-eye. What made it worse was the lack of basic care. He didn't even clean around the toes properly you can still see black and dark blue around the nail beds. That alone shows a lack of attention and professionalism. What frustrated me most wasn't just the inability to do the design it was the lack of honesty. Instead of admitting he didn't know how to do it, he was willing to let me leave with a kindergarten-level design and still pay full price for a service that wasn't delivered. Even after the correction, I left very dissatisfied and disappointed with the pedicure overall. And yes, like I always do, I still paid and tipped generously. But I will not be returning. I'm nobody's fool, and I refuse to be taken advantage of. To Louis, thank you for your outstanding work, your consistency, and your genuine customer care. Also, coming to hover over me while I was getting my nails done and talking to the tech. The tech could tell I was uncomfortable and shooed them away. If you're looking for a salon experience I wouldn't recommend this place. Not very relaxing. Also, the price didn't match what they said over the phone which was okay I still got them done & tipped out of courtesy which they seemed to lack but I won't be back.
