I found Sugar Cookie on Groupon, and went ahead and bought a series of three sugaring sessions after reading the fabulous Yelp reviews. So far I've had two, and have one more in the series to go. Bittersweet! I gotta figure something out to keep this going without breaking the bank. I got a little lost finding the place on my first appointment (hate that!), but she extended grace and took me with no issues. I love her chill demeanor and how patient, professional and efficient she is. Seriously, you'll be in and out in under 15 minutes and it will be as painless as possible. I was pleasantly surprised! After not getting waxed in a few years I decided I wanted to try getting them again and did some research on places here in Dallas since I'm originally from the Midwest. After doing some digging I found this place and I decided to go with it since they use sugar wax instead of the hard wax used in most places which I've had negative reactions to and to be honest, it hurts a lot more than sugaring! My waxer Moriah is very knowledgeable about the wax itself as well as the products that are offered at Sugar Cookie and was happy to answer all the questions I had after she gave me a breakdown of how everything works during my first appointment. I recommend her as well as the products I've been using: Toner, Moisturizer and Sugar Scrub! I actually started using the Sugar Scrub and Toner on my face as I've been having issues with adult acne and rough patches for the first time in my life and the combination of these products have been doing wonders for my skin!! How do I put this lightly.....Lele is amazing! This was my my first time at Sugar Cookie but certainly not my last (hello new customer)! The process was super fast and thorough. Lele removed every strand of hair from my lady parts. I would not say it's less painful than waxing in my opinion but I've been told it gets less and less painful after your first sugaring. It's been over a month since my first appointment (simply because Lele is very booked, compliments to her excellent service) and my hair down there has hardly grown back as much as when I get the normal wax. I went there for sugaring for a year and a half once a month -- it was my first place I had gone to and I didn't understand what was the norm. I was constantly irritated, nothing was provided like a hot towel to calm painfully stinging skin, no music (or very explicit, over-all concerning things that weren't generalizable), etc. I was consistently getting people who would tell me that this was their first time, or they hadn't gotten out of school yet and were excited to get their certification- which is concerning to hear when you're getting a Brazilian. One time one of the sugarist gasped and told me I was on my period-- which I was not-- and after she made me look with a mirror, I told her I wasn't, she said she didn't know the v@&ina could be that red in the h0le and that pale on the skin. ????? I am pale, and there is nothing out of the norm about my skin in that area and right outside it. It was concerning and felt like she was scarily inexperienced. My final time, after being in appointments with every sugarist but one for the last year and a half, the woman asks how old I am and when I tell her I am under 18, she proceeds to stop mid-service (of a brazilian!!!!) and tell me I need to leave and she can't serve me. My first time I had signed multiple waivers and contracts with my guardian, and my guardian attended the first five sessions (waiting in lobby) with me until the woman at the front desk told her she didn't have to accompany me anymore. The sugarist left me for 15 minutes with the sugar laying on me, alone, embarrassed, silent, spread eagle, and a half-done brazilian while I texted my mom to get the scanned contracts. I got the contracts and the sugarist came back after a while--she proceeded to tell me they don't matter, I was not to come back without my mom, who was to sit in the room with us the entire time. A HUGE invasion of privacy, and for someone who had had around 16-18 sessions with them and NO problem with me being under 18 before. She said "you're really lucky-- i'm only going to finish the service today because you say you've been coming so long." I'm appalled to think she would have made me leave with half a Brazilian, but she and the rest of that year and a half left me with embarrassment of my body, horrible ingrown hairs, and dread. read more

I have done shaving, nair, and waxing but nothing compares to the service I received at sugar cookie! The room was so pretty and I was able to see every product that she was using which was comforting. Now during the sugaring process I was extremely nervous because waxing has always been painful but I will say Lele professionalism and knowledge is what made this process smooth and as enjoyable as can be considering the circumstances lol. I was in a slight pain but that was during the sensitive areas and I loved how she informed me which part she would be sugaring so I would be aware of the pain level and I say that definitely helped because it helped mentally prepare me. I went in today for a "leg sugaring" special that SHE recommended. I'm not sure what her problem was this evening but the service that she performed was rushed and unprofessional. She was rude and sarcastic through the whole process which I find odd considering how long I've been using her services.
