As someone with extremely sensitive skin, I'd always been intrigued by the idea of sugaring but had never actually tried it. If you aren't familiar with what it is, it's a sticky paste made out of only 3 organic ingredients (lemon juice, water, and sugar). There are no strips used, therefore nothing that tears your skin. Because of that, it's very rare for people to break out or have bad reactions afterwards unlike typical waxing. My friend also has sensitive skin, and recommended Erin to me because she has been seeing her for a while now with great results. I went yesterday for a Brazilian and was nervous, as it was my first time having professional hair removal done...there. Erin immediately puts you at ease though, and keeps you distracted with polite conversation while she works. Start to finish took about ten minutes, and while there is some discomfort I never found it to be unbearable. The end result was a night and day difference, and I knew after leaving that I could never go back to the stubble and irritation of shaving again. It was $78 for the first appointment, but follow ups afterwards reduce in price. When you create your free online account (which is how you book appointments), you will also get email discounts occasionally. She works by appointment only, so please be sure to carefully read her cancellation policy. It's now been 24 hours since I saw her and I experienced no break outs, no soreness, and no irritation. I cannot recommend her highly enough! She has been doing this for 8 years, so don't be shy because she's seen it all. She offers a variety of hair removal services including facial hair removal, so it's not just for your lower regions. I believe she sells her sugar solution as well, which I intend to ask her about next time. I'm interested to start doing my underarms at home as that's another area that is problematic for me in terms of razor burn. I've been getting my bikini area sugared at Sweetie's for almost four years. I have zero desire to ever go anywhere else. Erin is amazing. Completely professional, yet warm and friendly at the same time. The space is beautiful, super clean and comfy. The price is affordable, and she does a wonderful job. Great communication and easy to schedule online or on my phone. Erin's technique is better than others' I've visited before. She's really good at removing the hair efficiently, so it goes pretty quickly. She also does this thing where she presses down on the skin immediately after a pull, which somehow takes the pain away. I also appreciate that Erin's been patient and attentive when I want to change up my style, lol. She listens and works her magic, and my sweet spot always ends up looking great! Sugaring is the way to go! Way less if any ingrown hairs, and I started using it for my underarms as well as my bikini line. I love it for both! I had never doe anything else besides shaving for my underarms, but I am sold now! The hair grows back way slower and finer than before. It may be hard to wait during summer months, but there may be barely anything there by summer to sugar! Erin is awesome (person and knowing her stuff)! read more

I was EXTREMELY terrified about getting my first Brazilian. My friend had been telling me for years to get one and to specifically get sugaring done as it is completely organic and slightly less painful in her experience. So...I finally bit the bullet back in February and booked an appointment here. First of all, Erin is a sweetheart. I told her it was my first time and she told me all about the process and what to expect before she began. Secondly, it does hurt. You are getting hair ripped out from a very sensitive area so I won't lie and say that it was painless. However, Erin knows what she's doing and she is fast. My first time took the longest, probably 20ish minutes and my follow-up appointment took 6mins....so yeah....it does get better/easier. Third, I know I don't have regular waxing to compare to, but in my limited experience so far with sugaring I would definitely say it is the way to go. I have experienced no ingrowns or irritation and it is nice to know that you aren't putting any weird chemicals on your skin that may lead to infections and other problems. read more

Before coming to Erin at Sweetie's I'd only had my brows waxed. I was very nervous to get a Brazilian. The shop is very neat, calm and comfortable located in the Preston Forest shopping center on the side near Starbucks. The studio is in a set of office suites next to the Pizza shop. Erin is very friendly and educates you on the process. She will warn you on the more tender areas and will make sure you're comfortable. She talked me through the whole process. While it is painful, it is definitely worth it. I have sensitive skin and had no irritation at all. I have had two waxes so far and the second one was much easier than the first.
