I arrived at 7:50 p.m., knowing that your posted hours indicate an 8:00 p.m. closing. I was informed by the front desk (Grace) that walk-ins were cut off at 7:15 p.m., but she kindly offered to accommodate me if I was willing to wait. I appreciated the flexibility, and I waited until about 8:15 for the spray. However, I was then told there would be a $15 after-hours fee--a charge that wasn't mentioned upfront when I agreed to wait. Had that been communicated clearly before the delay, I would have declined the service, as the total would have exceeded $50. My concern isn't with the fee itself but with the lack of transparency. I didn't see any reference to an after-hours charge on your website or booking confirmation, and it wasn't brought up until after the wait. That lack of clarity made the experience feel frustrating and avoidable. I typically go to another tanning salon but they were fully booked so I decided to try Hush Hush Tan as it came highly recommend by a friend. It is very conveniently located on oaklawn. I will say parking was tough at peak hours. They were extremely busy and it took a while to be acknowledged but the girl seemed overwhelmed with the amount of customers which is understandable. The girl who completed my tan was very sweet and I really like the results. If my other salon is hard to get into again I would definitely book here again but maybe not during their peak hours. read more

I got a rapid tan done and kept it on 3.5 hours. I showered and I'm not kidding when I say the entire tan came off. The tan line completely washed away. I am so disappointed and now have no time to get a great tan before my trip. Waste of my money and now I am not feeling confident. I got the golden glow spray tan and it's absolutely gorgeous. It leaves a nice smooth, beautiful coverage and it has a little gold shimmer all over your skin. It's beautiful. It's also nice that there isn't a weird tanning spray scent on your skin that you'll get from other places. Amanda was great & very thorough and knows what she's doing. The dallas location is very clean and all the employees are very friendly and accommodating. The best part is when it starts to fade it comes off evenly and doesn't look crazy and spotty all over your skin. Definitely coming back to this place !! After she did the complete spray tan, I realized the tan lines I was left with wouldn't work with the swim suit I planned to wear and she came and touched up/redid the whole tan. I was nervous how it was going to look but it turned out so perfect. She was so nice about it and I really appreciated her making me feel so comfortable. This place was recommended to me by a client of mine and they did not disappoint. I made an appointment and I got sprayed from the waist up and face the tan did initially smell once it was on for a few hours but once I washed it off after about 7 hrs it was fine no over powering smell absolutely no streaks and it was very even . It's lasted already almost a week . I haven't gone out of my way to try to maintain it any longer but I'm sure I could have if I wanted to and it would of maybe stayed a bit longer but I don't care to. I was able to walk in without an appointment and receive my custom glow tan within minutes. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about their tanning products. The booth was clean and I received a great golden goddess tan. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the salon didn't offer lotion to put on your palms or around your knuckles and my palms are definitely orangey and look like I have had a spray tan. read more

Did not feel they do as good a job as other airbrush tanning salons whose services I've used. Tan did not turn out that good, and I felt the whole experience was cold and impersonal. No one was rude, but no one was particularly welcoming either. They also do not put barrier cream around your ankles, toes, fingernails and palms, nor do they provide any drying off assistance, other than telling you to stand in front of a fan that's on the floor. Most places I've been blow powder on you to help prevent stickiness. Won't be going back here. read more

So I first want to say that this rating has nothing to do with my tan nor the wonderful employee who applied it. My tan looks great and the person who did it was professional and did a great job. HOWEVER, I won't be returning. The front of the salon is clean, however once they take you back to the rooms, they are filthy. i was actually uncomfortable. Certainly the tanning spray gets on ceilings and walls, but it was all over and the vents didn't have brown residue, rather black spores that looked like mold. The rugs were dirty. I'm orange. They use the same color on everyone. The only difference is how orange do you want to be. If you want to be "medium (orange)" then they make the pressure of the spray higher. There's no custom colors based on your skin color and tone. The price is pretty affordable $40 so that's a plus and that's why I'm giving it an extra star, but I'd rather pay more and get a spray tan that doesn't look fake and orange like this. UPDATE: after almost a full week my tan is still pretty dark. It is starting to fade but after many showers, lotion and shaving i'm still seeing a glow. I still highly recommend Hush Hush Tan. I will however agree with the other poster that I wish they had lotion to protect the underside of your hands but I was able to scrub off the splotchy parts I went for the Brazilian tan (double dip) and so far it looks great. The staff was extremely sweet and knowledgeable and made me feel at ease. The facility was gorgeous and clean. I will absolutely be back! One thing I do wish they had are bigger fans to dry off. A tower fan seems like it would be a lot better as it could fan you (currently they have a smaller like desk fan if you will) it still does the job though read more

Today was my first time at this place to get a spray tan, and I had heard good things about it. While my initial experience was good, the lady who sprayed me was very sassy just in general. I had asked for a pretty dark shade, but after the spray tan was over and I had paid, left, and gotten in my car, I realized I was i satisfied with the shade and wanted it to be a little darker. The lady who sprayed me also said that if I wanted to add more color after we were done I could. I went back inside and asked very politely if I could go a little darker, and proceeded to get bitched out by the woman who did my initial tan. She yelled at me for previously saying that the tan was fine in front of her boss and now I was coming back in unsatisfied. I continued to be polite, saying I was sorry but I wanted to be darker and she basically denied me that option and said I would be charged again. Her boss then came to the front after hearing us talking and looked confused, then in a very disrespectful tone, the woman I was having this incident with told me I could take it up with her boss. To that I just responded it was fine and I left without getting appropriate customer service.
