DO NOT GO HERE! The past 4 times I've been into this salon in a span of 2 months the man at the desk claimed "the system was down", "every bed avalible was taken and would be a 30 minute wait". I tried to cancel my membership and miraculously the "internet" went down and told me to come back 45 minutes later however he just checked someone in a second before me and before I said I wanted to cancel asked which bed I wanted? Then I was clearly frustrated leaving walked out and he made a snark comment. It's evident he just didn't want me to cancel and to upgrade so he could make a sale of me, but the attitude and behavior from an employee on multipul occasions it's ridiculous. Don't go here.!!!!!! The little male manager is so nasty. He is adversarial and rude to everyone at all times. He has been rude to me on 3 separate occasions. I am done with this location. There is another location down the street on Payne. I bought an unlimited package for me and my daughter. We both tan easily. He never lets us used the full time (which we pay for - it is called an unlimited package). My daughter went three times and he never let her go more than 6 minutes!!!! Yes, 6 minutes. She said, "Mom, just go to the other PBT on Payne. The girls are actually nice there and they allow you to go the full time on any bed." Today was the last straw. I asked for 12 minutes in bed 12. He said to me, THAT IS NOT AN OPTION. He gave me no reason why. He did not say it was occupied. He did not say the bed was broken. He just said NO WAY. He said I could do 12 minutes in another bed that has a maximum of 16 minutes. Does this sound like unlimited package to you? Or is it just unlimited attitude? Also, when I came in today. The door bell rang, but no one acknowledged me or came to the front desk for 5 minutes. So I nudged the door again to make sure someone heard me. When he came up front, he passively agressively "thanked me" for ringing the door twice. He was basically accusing me of bad behavior. He is always adversarial and passive aggressive and I doubt he lets anyone go the full time. He says he does not want you to burn. But I think he has a power trip with minutes, because he hates his life and people. I don't go to tan for an argument about how many minutes my body can tolerate. I pay for unlimited tanning and my body does not burn. I am sick of dealing with this pathetic excuse for a man. It is a shame, because I love the location and the franchise. He just ruins the whole experience. This is information was gathered over a dozen experiences between myself and my daughter. His manager should retrain him and put a camera on him. Love this location! They just extended their hours until 10pm, which is their pre-Covid hours. The employees are always friendly, too.

Amazing staff members. If no beds are available.. there is an option for stand up. They take the time to answer any and all questions. Greet you as soon as you walk in the door and even as you depart. I've even gotten multiple compliments on how good my new look is now even some thinking I went on vacation (I wish). I gave this place a stellar review when I starting going 6 years ago. They have decided to do away with their Versa Pro machines because they have to purchase the solution instead of using their own solution (from what I was told) so it's not as profitable. They kept Versa Spa (the old machines) because they use their own solution and it's more profitable than the new, superior machines. I used the Versa Spa two weeks ago, dark solution and it faded in 3 days and never looked that great from day 1. Also, Versa Spa doesn't do double legs. That's a huge downgrade! Double legs is so essential for spray tanning. Palm Beach really cheaped out on it's customers! How disappointing. read more

I purchased a package of spray tans for over $100.00. After one spray i noticed it only sprayed half of My body.:: leaving the bottom half not sprayed at all.... very uneven. I went in personally to the salon and spoke to Alex who was EXTREMELY RUDE to me and spoke to me in a very demeaning manor making me feel stupid. I have to say today was probably one of the most pleasurable experiences at Palm Beach Tan! My assistant Taylor could not have been more informative and helpful, she was knowledgeable on products and diagnosed my skin type and helped me pick a bed best for my needs. On top of being extremely helpful and pleasant and knowledgeable, she was on point with her dress code, extremely fun cute and hip. So many times I go to a Establishment l feel like I walked into a dorm room, where everyone was three shades hung over. Rude employees. Didn't know what they were doing. I went to my bed got all undressed and ready only to find that they didn't set the bed timer .. I had to them put my clothes back on and go out front to have them set my bed. Then when I was leaving the lady was on her phone - pauses looks at me up and down then goes back to doing what she's doing in her phone without saying a word... it's the extra tan lady. I've been here a few times but after today won't be back. The employees were extremely rude and unhelpful, telling me to put the cartridge for the spray tan in myself. I got the spray tan a few hours ago and literally see no color yet, not even a difference between where my underwear were and where they weren't. Wow, Yelp has gone tan-crazy! I've seen so many Palm Beach reviews lately, but none for the one in my hood. Anyway, I've tanned on and off since high school. Go ahead, insert your lecture about skin cancer right here. I figured I've ridden show jumper horses for almost 15 years now and have career plans involving war and conflict, so I think I can take the risk, but that's just me. So, encouraged by my mom's mantra of "tan fat looks better than white fat," I returned to my tanning roots about a month ago and now am looking H-O-T once again. Not that I don't always... But I digress. Palm Beach is affordable, the place is always clean, friendly staff and this particular location has a kick-ass variety of beds. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could.. They rip you off wherever possible: the price of memberships, freezing and unfreezing your account, spray tans, hidden fees everywhere, etc. It's just another big chain tanning company with weak beds, rude staff, hidden fees, contracts and bs. None of their pricing ever makes sense, no one can show you anything in writing, everyone's just trying to make a few extra bucks of commission. And based off reviews of other locations, I'm not the only person who has been lied to and manipulated when paying $8 a month to have your account frozen. Kelsey Broadhead (store MANAGER) was so UNPROFESSIONAL. She argued with me about my account told me that her and her team never make mistakes (as it was supposed to have been frozen the month prior) and that when you freeze your account it always saves to a word document on their end, well guess what? That did not happen in my case. I spoke with corporate where this sweet girl named McKenna told me that "computers can be glitchy so its always good to get a copy." Lesson well learned (get a copy). McKenna was kind and refunded me the amount that had been charged on my account, but my experience overall with the "Kelsey" was unforgettable (in a negative way). I understand people have bad days but this girl does not belong working at PB, let alone being in a managerial role-that is just ridiculous. Before this event happened Kelsey was always in a bad mood (it seemed) and was "short with customers (including me), prideful, rude, arrogant, quick to speak, and acted as if she did not care about her work. I just ignored it and "delt with it" as this was my place to tan. Well i am going in today or tomorrow to cancel my membership. ****Note to upper management/owners: FIRE KELSEY. I've been coming to PBT for a good 4ish years, but my experience tonight was the last straw. To start off, I was told one of the services (VersaPro) was no longer available to me, despite the fact that I upgraded and started using it about 6 months ago. I let it slide though, and asked the lady working if my membership had maybe expired. She gave me sass and said I had never signed up for it, and I didn't have permission to use it. Not trying to argue, I simply asked how I can get my membership back in order so that I can start using it. She charged me $89. Then she charged me another $20 for "fees." Considering I was in this store 6 days ago and it's the middle of the month, I'm pretty sure I just got double charged. After paying the additional $109 for my tan, I went back and realized I wasn't set up properly for the tan I always get. (Medium tan, extra legs, hydration pass). I went up front and mentioned that it didn't look right and asked if she could double check. The lady said she put me down for 41, which is what I got last time (funny- I thought I wasn't allowed to use this system), and I asked her to confirm it contained the services I wanted. I explained how the hydrating treatment was missing and I wanted to make sure it was included since it wasn't showing up on the screen. She said it was "automatic." Again, not wanting to argue, I gave up, and went and got whatever treatment she decided I needed. Before leaving, I did get an attitude with her and let her know she still gave me the wrong service and that I'd be going to another PBT location. Luckily, Dallas is a big city, so I believe I'll be taking my business to another tanning salon entirely. read more

Ive come here multiple times for a spray tan. I don't use the UV beds, I prefer to avoid wrinkling! Their spray tans come out ok. You definitely come out reeking of the potent spray tan scent. Ive been other places where the scent is less noticeable and not as potent. The facility itself is always decently clean and the people working the counter have always been friendly. Its an ok place to stop in and get a quick spray tan but I prefer to only go here if Im short on time and cant drive to Mockingbird station to my regular place. read more

VERY disappointed with this establishment and their services. I paid $80 for 3 spray tans even though I only use 1 per year. I went in to get a spray tan for the one event that I use a spray tan for each year. Apparently the machine was out of bronzer and simply sprayed me with clear and therefore I gained no more color. It was too late to fix for my event and Palm Beach didn't even offer to give me a refund. I have since tried to call and speak with the manager and they've never return my call I've contacted them via Instagram where they only respond if I comment on a public post I've asked them to call or email me to rectify the situation and they've done nothing of the sort. I rarely go to the tanning bed. Maybe once every 4-5 months. But when I do go, I dread going to this location, because their sales people are SHADY and relentless. He was so rude as he told me "no, she has to be here on a Thursday with you." This was not explained anywhere on the coupon OR online. I've gone to this location before and had very enjoyable experiences. I went today to get a spray tan seeing as I got an email from palm beach saying that it was $18 spray tans and ended 9/26. I walk in the salon and request a spray tan. The lady behind the counter rang me up and told me it would be $40. I was a little surprised and asked about the $18 spray tans. She said that this location "stopped that yesterday". I was confused and thought to myself maybe I got the date wrong. Went back and checked my emails and my email said it was going through to the 9/26. I thought simple mistake, I get my dates wrong all the time, I'll just bring it to her attention whenever I leave thinking it's not a big deal because I wanted to see if I could buy two anyway. I brought it up to the same girl at the front desk, she looked at my email, and looked at me and very forcefully said that, "this location is not doing that, have a nice day". I was so taken aback by her rudeness over the situation. Even if I had the wrong information, I should not have been cut off and spoken to like that. read more

The staff outright lies to potential clients to get them to sign their lives away. I was pressured into buying the highest priced level of membership and then told if I didn't buy their super-expensive tanning lotion I would regret it. What I do regret is that after just one visit in their Level 4 (supposedly the best) bed, I broke out into hives all over my body. The manager told me that it must have been the previously mentioned expensive lotion I was using, and that I needed to go back within 24 hours to exchange it for an EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE lotion. They actually expected me to pay ADDITIONAL MONEY after over half of my body had broken out into a hideous rash. The staff should all know that they are terrible people for working at a place that trains them with a used car salesmanship attitude and zero ethics. read more

This place sucks. I always get roped in because it's convenient and there's a deal on a spray tan package, then I end up paying some sort of fee. I went to get a spray tan and the employee had no idea what he was doing. I told him to simply look up whatever I did the last time. He claimed he did and gave me the wrong darkness and type of spray tan. When I went back to finish my package of 3, ends up he had put my last spray tan on the wrong persons account. I came here to start tanning a month before my wedding. When I first walked in, I was greeted by the manager who explained to me all of the membership options. Once I told him that I did not need the platinum (most expensive)membership his attitude towards me made a complete 180. He was very rude, answering the phone and talking to other customers and being rude to THEM as well. I'm giving two stars because I did end up tanning there for a month and that was good. I would not recommend going to this specific location as you will find rude staff that will try to up sell you and get upset if you don't buy the biggest and best packages and lotions. read more
