Booked pedis for myself and my lover through ClassPass for a Saturday morning. We were there right when the salon opened. Salon was clean, staff were very friendly and both pedicures were great! Fast service and my technician was a perfectionist, which I love!!! I would certainly return for a quick and quality pedicure!! read more

So, Tracy that works there is amazing and she does Great nails now however please let's be clear she is not the one that did my pedicure. But the person that did did not use brand new and sterile tools so I got a fungal infection in my right big toe for the first time even had to go to the emergency room. Tracy is amazing she does a great job she is the only one I recommend and I would only recommend getting your nails done and with her. read more

Tried to go to Bliss Nail Salon (because it was rated higher) for our first post-pandemic glow-up, but they had a wait. So happy this is where we landed!! They were superb. First time I've gotten a pedi and not had anything hurt. And I feel purty. That's the idea, right? Will be returning, for sure. read more

Well I know that some of the reviews on here won't justify the experience for most reviews on what they want to hear. But let me just turn the audience around and show you the amazing work "Tracy-the-owner" did for me and the best part she takes pride in cleaning up your nails and doing a flawless job. The place is by far cuter than most in this small little cute area and for me it was worth the drive since I am coming from the south Arlington area. Please give them a shot! The best service in the area and by far every one is so nice and bubbly!!! Just the way I love it. read more

My go-to nail place!! Everyone is friendly, quick and always leave with great nails. Best nail shop in the lakewood area!

Took my daughter Friday 7/13 after noon for her birthday. She got a pedicure and nail painted. I got a pedicure and fill in. I don't think the lady heard me when I said fill in so I noticed ppl going ahead of me. The owner/manager took me right in and she got me done in no time. She told me to make sure I come back. She did so good that I will make sure I do go back to her because she fixed my nails good because the last shop fucked it up. I will definitely be back. read more

really nice ppl but very overpriced. try to get gel nails and they broke after 2 days and even when I came back to fix it , it wasn't amazing work for the 50$ I paid for I hate wasting money, I never knew price until she was in the middle of doing my nails . I should have gotten something amazing for what I paid for and i got the same nail color that my neighbor does for free. yet I had to pay so much just so she could not have screw ups on blast . light pink sort of blends with my nails so it hard to mess up. the cuticles were not taken care of. read more

Our go to!! Incredibly friendly people, wide varieties offered, top notch services and super reasonable prices. Always see regulars when we are in there and for good reason. 5 stars for each finger and toe! :) read more

The salon is a little dated and not as nice as some of the others in the area. They do use quality products and their nail services are good and reasonably priced. The only reason I don't recommend this place is because the last two times I went, they used an iPad with a square reader to check me out. Each time they charged me 4+ times because she "couldn't get it to work". This then caused a hold on my card for suspected fraud. It was such a pain and they weren't apologetic at all for it so I won't be back. If you're in a bind and need to go here, only pay in cash. read more

BEST shellac manicure I've ever gotten (and I've gotten a ton)! Tiffany was so precise and careful with my nails, removing any excess polish around the cuticle that most (sloppy) places don't care enough to remove. She did many clear coats under the color to make my nails feel strong, but they aren't bulky or heavy looking at all. She also painted the tips so the entire nail has color instead having of a thick white edge. Exquisite work!!! Thank you thank you!! Cannot recommend enough. read more

I first want to say I have been going to this nail salon for over 8 years. Probably the worst owner that could ever own a nail salon EVER! If you don't want to be ripped off and charged inconsistent prices DO NOT go here! About a month ago I went here to get manicure's and pedicure's for myself and 3 little girls ages 11, 12 and 13 and she had the nerve to charge me 65.00 for each girl. I would suggest to anyone that lives in the Lakewood area to find a different salon, GARBAGE rude and has no loyalty to her customers! read more

I can only review on my waxing experience. This was my second time going in for an eyebrow and lip wax. The first time, wasn't terrible, I had to sit in one of pedicure chairs while they did it, which was awkward. The wax itself was just okay. I came in again today, because I wanted to like this place as it is so close to my new apartment! This time, the girl took me into their waxing room, which was basically just a closet with a massage table. Although it is their waxing room, they still use it as storage. The wax was too hot, but not unbearable. She waxed and plucked, so I was expecting them to come out well. As you can see from my pictures, she didn't get all of the stray hairs. I'm not super upset because it's fixable, but for $20, I'd expect more. I won't be going back. read more

Love City Nails - always have. Great with kids. Same staff for many years. Drinks offered, nice massage chairs and accommodate men!

Service: deluxe manicure and deluxe pedicure with paraffin. The manicure was essentially just a nail painting. My cuticles were not cleaned up and the manicure left me with hang nails on three nails that chipped the paint when I cleaned them up. The pedicure was okay. My friend got the same thing as I did and hers included hot stones, but mine didn't? The massage was meh... Not worth the money or time. Go somewhere else. read more

I recently moved to the neighborhood and am looking for a new nail salon. City Nails is within walking distance of my house, and I had high hopes. It's a clean place, and they have lots of stations and colors to choose from. I didn't have to wait nor did anyone who came in after I did. That's why I was surprised that the nail tech rushed through my pedicure -- to the point where she cut my toe and it bled -- and practically kicked me out the door without letting me sit for a few minutes to let my nails dry. Per the sign, they didn't close for another two hours, so I was a bit miffed. We had a significant language barrier (it happens), but I think I ended up agreeing to more than I ordered based on the final price. I paid with my debit card and had the tip line filled in and the slip signed when the tech (who I couldn't really understand) grabbed my hand and said "No, no, no, cash." I asked if they accepted tips on cards and she said yes, so I handed her the slip. She shook her head, and the tech at the next station said to me (in a very slow, condescending manner -- and really loud too, like I must be hearing impaired to not understand) "We ACCEPT card tips, but it's better for US if you tip in cash." I get it, they want their tips in cash. But they offer the option of tipping on cards, and I already had the slip filled out. And not to sound like a jerk, but I am a paying and generously tipping customer, so don't lecture me on the tipping process. If you only want your tips in cash, post a sign and remove the line from the receipt (although I tip much better when they allow me to tip on the card). So I asked for a new receipt, and she motioned for me to cross out the tip amount and the total on the existing signed slip, which made me very uncomfortable, but I did it. I only had $5 cash in my wallet, so her original $12 tip ended up being significantly less than what it had originally been, but in the currency of her choice. There are a lot of salons in the neighborhood, and I won't return to City Nails. read more

It's been two years since I last reviewed, and this is still my favorite place for a pedi. They get you right in, even at the busiest times (like mid-day on a rainy Saturday), and are always quick to offer a drink (wine, water, whatever you like). Yes, they like to upsell -- extra massage time, top coat that makes polish last longer, etc. Be ready to select your pedi option. They start with a basic for $25 and go up to the $50 Milk and Honey option. I've never done the Milk and Honey, but today, I was in need of a little extra somethin' and I went with the Tropical, which included a salt scrub, paraffin, hot stones and a 20-minute massage that was phenomenal! Cost was $45 and worth every penny. I left there feeling like a newer, more relaxed version of myself, with prettier toes and softer heels of course. The only thing that slightly irks me is their grimace when I add gratuity on my credit card instead of giving them cash. Yeah, I get it. Cash is preferable. But it's also never in my wallet. So if you want a good tip, it'll be on my credit card. Welcome to 2015. read more

Most unprofessional staff. Tacky. Want sure if the nail tech wanted to kill me or just had a bad day. She had shakey hands and kept cutting more than just my cuticles. Not vocal. I had to show her an obvious bubble, and she acted like she didn't see anything, until another tech told her in Vietnamese just to clean it up. It's interesting to hear the things the staff say when then don't think you understand Vietnamese. I not only sat through insults, I also had to watch this technician play with another tech's breasts. Just surreal! This place is just a run down mess. If you can't even smile at a potential client, but say thank you when being tipped, then then service industry is definitely not for you. Didn't bother getting a name, she's the only boyish tech with a hard stare there. Never again.I'm go down the block to Mai Le. read more

Shellac'n Shysters! My fault, I tried it twice and each time I felt ripped off - never again! Service was horrible. We were not offered beverages and three different people worked on my pedicure. One guy changed out with a girl right in the middle of painting my toes. The massage was seriously half ass and was not 15 minutes. My boyfriend left no tip and I only left 3.00, not like is at all. If we have a decent experience we tip. This was awful. Don't go, go to Posh or the nail place by Cosmos. I won't be back. read more

I was pretty pleased with this place. Went to get my oil changed across the street on a Saturday morning, so I actually tried the place around the corner just because it was the first one I saw. Well they had a 45 minute wait, so I kept walking. Glad I did because this place was quick and available. The environment is very nice and relaxing. I paid the extra few bucks for the deluxe manicure and I don't think I've ever upgraded and thought it was worth it, but it was totally worth it. I only took off one star for sanitary reasons. I'm not totally sure how sanitary this environment was because I didn't see the usual things you expect to see - the sanitizing bags, etc. read more

They did a good job on my nails but I can't ever go back after realizing and noticing during my visit that they don't clean anything. They re-used tools from my daughter immediately on someone else without sterilizing and didn't wash her foot tub before just filling again for someone else. I don't know if they always do that but hey did in front of me. read more

City Nails - Mini-me's first mani-pedi at Lakewoods City Nails salon :0) - Nail Salons Near Me - Dallas, Texas

Decided to give this salon a try despite the bad reviews because they were open and nearby. My pedicure is decent, but the woman wouldn't stop trying to get me to upgrade my service even after I told her multiple times that I just wanted a basic pedicure. The manicure is awful. The polish is uneven and so far away from my nail bed that is looks a week old. If you are in a pinch, I would recommend it for a pedicure. However, I wouldn't waste my money on a manicure here. read more

So they started off personable and great and slowly started to go down hill. I used to be greeted with a warm smile and "how are you" and now it's a blah face and "pick your color". Had my bridesmaids get their nails done here! I called 3 weeks ahead and felt a little skeptical so I rebooked it the day before (previous appointment nowhere to be found, which is typical of places like these). They put us all in a private room with music and let us bring in champagne. Each of us got our own tech to work on us, so we were all done at the same time. So fun! This is my go-to spot for a mani or pedi and usually where I go with my sister when she's in town. Highly recommend! read more

Longest and worst nail appointment I've ever had. I asked for a manicure with fill Nexgen nails and ended up leaving in tears with bleeding cuticles, splotchy colored, and misshaped nails. What should've taken 45 minutes took two and a half HOURS, and I didn't even get any part of a manicure, just my nexgen change. I brought a picture of exactly how I wanted my nails shaped, and I've been growing them out for 6 weeks so they'd be long enough. The technician was very nice and tried hard but could not shape my nails to save her life and ended up filing my nails down to my fingertips into to weird and lumpy shapes. Then when trying to buff them, cut up every one of my cuticles to the point of bleeding. On top of it all, the pink color I chose ended up so splotchy that it looks like tie dye on my nails. The technician could see how upset I was, as I was in tears- and STILL made me pay the full price for the manicure and nexgen service. read more

No wait and many techs available for service. They even made sure I was aware of what i was getting and paying for before i got it which is appreciated. I went in here for a fill to my acrylic nails and they charged me THRITY DOLLARS which is significantly higher than anywhere I have ever seen. I didn't even get a full manicure no massage no nothing. According to her -- they only do "solar nails". These are not solar nails -- they are regular acrylics with polish. She put a gel top coat on it and that constitutes a 15 dollar price hike. There are no price signs and honestly, I should have asked first but I didn't expect it to be double what salons even in UPTOWN charge. I will NEVER return here. They should put signs up-- but they won't because I guarantee, I am not the first person to be fooled this way. read more

I was not impressed with this place but it is probably more the technician than salon. She barely spoke one word to me. I had asked about a manicure when I came in and the lady in charge sent me over to this technician's table. She didn't ask what type of manicure or anything else. The only time she spoke was when she asked if I wanted a topcoat for an additional $5 and if I could give her a tip in cash. Usually the technicians help put watches and/or bracelets back on so as not to mess up their work. But not this gal. She got up and left to get on her cell phone. I will not be going back. read more
