I love this nail bar salon so much. I called the day I needed my nails done and they were able to squeeze me in. I will definitely be back for my next manicure and pedicure. I needed dazzle dry as my employer no longer allows employees to wear gel or dip nails. They came out perfect! I'm hoping they last a week but if they don't it's definitely the product not due to the services I received. (It's my first time using dazzle dry.) It has chandeliers and has a very upscale vibe. This place is beautiful inside. The customer service is great and matches the vibe this place seems to be going for. It feels super fancy and different from your run of the mill nail salons. The pedicure chairs are these crushed velvet chairs (no massagers) and a little uncomfortable to me. I am short so I was rather sprawled-out in an unflattering position. The pedicure tubs are shallow (no massagers). The woman that did my pedicure was awesome. She was nice and thorough, and another tech was able to fix my big toenail that gets janky from time to time. I paid the extra $5 for quick drying polish and that was well worth it. Overall this place is bright, airy, cute, clean (COVID protocols in place) and there is plenty of parking in the back lot. I have made 3 visits to this location and at least 4 visits to Paint Nail Bar, Tomball, TX (Houston). Yesterday, I had a manicure with Dazzle Dry at Knox Henderson, with Dazzle Dry polish. Today, my nails have several chips and looks about 7 days old already. Keep in mind, last week, exactly 6 days prior, I went to the same location for a soak off of Builder Gel and a manicure. They were not able to get all of the gel off (their product of course) so I had to settle for lumpy nails with polish and they charged me for the soak off and manicure, more than 70 dollars. Yesterday's visit was going to be 68 dollars until I said "why are you charging me for the soak off when it was not my fault that you could not get it off last week." Then, and only then, was the soak off charge removed. For those who know, Dazzle Dry polish should not be chipping and looking worn within 24 hours of the manicure. I did notice that the polish was unusually thick and I can tell this location is "cheap" and doing the "thinning" process to the nail polish like the run of the mill, unsanitary salons that you can find on any corner in the city. Overall, my experience has not been pleasant with Paint Nail Bar and they, as a company, are certainly not worth the drive (passing up all of the other nail shops) and my money, especially at their price point will be better spent elsewhere, where quality and customer service and customer appreciation are the norm. read more

This place is so cute and I've got friends who love it, but I've tried it three times now and I'm done. Booked online and have been burned before by not understanding the menu. Last time, we booked a full set and I forgot to also book to remove a set and so they told us we couldn't keep our appointment. So this time, I booked what I thought was right and then had to call a couple of times to be sure the services were booked correctly, because I didn't want to show up and get refused again. But we got it right, ok great. Level 1 complete. Got a full set with French manicure with gems and it took 3.5 hours. Let me say that again, THREE AND A HALF HOURS. Ok fine whatever, level 2 complete. At checkout they were like, oh you have all these points. I was like, really? I've been here a couple of times, but maybe this is why people put up with how stressful this place is to book with. Got a call the next day saying they messed up and charged me under someone else's account, because we have the same first name. Told me they were going to refund the first charge and recharge me the full amount. Fine, that's fair. But then I remembered the front desk girl had asked to update "my" account with my new credit card. So I called back to make sure they didn't give access to my card to someone else. The manager was sooo rude when I called. I couldn't believe it. I mean, I'm not putting up a fight here, I just don't want to give a stranger access to my card and he was sarcastic and short and rude. I wanted to like this place. I can forgive the difficult booking system. I can forgive the crazy long time they take. I can forgive a mix up at the front desk. But i cannot forgive being treating so poorly from their manager, especially after being so patient with them. If this is how the manager treats the customers, then I want no part of it. Be warned...this place has terrible customer service. Also it took 3.5 hours for a set with a French manicure. read more

Very disappointed. They didn't mention when we booked a mani pedi that they don't do them at the same time. Took over 1 1/2 hours just to do a basic mani (no polish) and a regular polish pedicure. Person with me also had scheduled a gel x mani and gel pedicure but the mani took over 1 hour and 30 minutes so canceled the gel pedicure. My fault for not checking prices beforehand but for those 3 services (2 of which were basic) it was $175 plus tip. Also they didn't have basic white polish (said they were out) but had it in Dazzle Dry which is an extra $5. Overall not a great experience and manicures don't look good. The latest appointment I came In for the tech kept messing up my nails and having to redo them. A few months ago I drove past PAINT Nail Bar and knew I had to check it out. I'm new to Dallas, and I've been meaning to find a new nail salon for when I just can't maintain my feet on my own anymore...and today was that day! I don't splurge on getting my nails done that often, so when I do, I want it to be a wonderful luxury experience. PAINT delivered on that so effortlessly! I checked in with Chris (I may be spelling his name wrong!) at the front desk, and he guided me to wash my hands and select my gel color. I didn't put two and two together so I didn't wash my hands (figured I was just getting a pedi, so who cares!) and selected my gel color, but when Chris circled back with me, he said the hand washing prior to selecting your color is because so many people are handling the samples and they want to maintain cleanliness, especially with covid. LOVE THIS. There's nothing worse than sticking your hands into a gnarly pile of old gel samples to pick a color - and I must say, theirs are very clean, and I love that foresight. I'm impressed...and embarrassed, and will definitely wash my hands next time! Glad I at least sanitized my hands before I had walked in. They had so many amazing gel colors to choose from, so it was almost hard to pick one! I've bookmarked a few for future services for sure. Especially loved the chrome and cat eye options - super eye catching! Their website states they have ceramic tubs for their pedicures instead of the traditional jet tubs since they're cleaner, and for me this also added to the luxury experience. Alejandra was my tech, and she dropped some fizzy tablets in so it still has that bubbly effect (though subtle), which was a nice touch. The water was just deep enough for my feet to soak in, but warm and comfortable! As I got situated Alejandra offered me a drink - they have many options, from flat and sparkling water, to tea, to champagne and red, white and rosé wine (which is what I decided on - sweet, and went down easy). Alejandra was gentle, friendly, and thorough. Definitely one of the more relaxing pedicures I've had in a long time! I've never gotten gel on my toes before, so that was a new, cool experience. I decided on a deep pink chrome color, and it turns out the chrome is a powder that's applied on top of black gel polish. Awesome to watch it materialize into a color I'm so happy with! I flipped through a magazine and Alejandra and Chris made some friendly small talk throughout my pedicure, and I enjoyed getting to know them a bit :) Definitely enjoyed my experience today, and already can't wait to come back for another pedicure (and a cat eye manicure) soon! read more

I'm not too hard on my nails, so the next time I went I decided not to do the extra protective coat and OMG! My nails didn't last the day (yes, this was gel). It was down hill from there. The color is so uneven it makes the nails look different colors, at the sides it's uneven, I could keep going but I think you get the idea and this took over two hours to do. I came in with my good friend, who I was treating before her wedding day, and we both got gel X manis and uptown girl pedis. We appreciated the atmosphere, organic/natural products and champagne. The nail techs were pretty nice too. The issues my friend and I experienced are: - Cuticle trimming - unsure as to why it's difficult to trim our cuticles without them bleeding but four of my cuticles bled due to over trimming. I also have a scab from the tech digging into my pinky nail with the nail file. She was apologetic each and every time this happened, but why did it continue to happen? - Friend's nails starting coming off completely as early as three days after our appointment. Mine came off six days later. I called them about this, mainly to let them know how disappointing this was after not even a week of having them done. They focused specifically on my "six days later" comment and I was told it was tough to determine why my nails were coming off since I was "so close" to the two week mark. "They're only supposed to last two-three weeks anyway," I was also told. No apology, no accountability. Was just told we could come in and *pay* to get them redone. - This all cost $450. (Our pedis were $88, minus tip, meaning the manis were $362.) I chose not to fuss in front of my friend since they asked me to pay *while* I was getting my nails done right next to her, but this is more ridiculous in hindsight. If I spend that much money, I do *at least* expect exceptional customer service, accountability and transparency. I vouched for this place and regret it completely. Feels like we both wasted 2.5 hours of our time here. Now we both have to take time out of our schedules to get our nails redone and pay for an entirely new manicure before her big day. What was supposed to be a nice, relaxing time (for my friend before her wedding day especially) has turned into a disappointing, time consuming one instead. I'm especially disappointed by the lack of customer service here. I told them beforehand that I was treating my friend when I made our appointments. They saw those notes in my file when I called back after our nails came off. I honestly can't imagine being this dismissive to customers at all, let alone in our case, when you know we're both prepping for a wedding. If you're going to charge these kinds of prices the experience could, at minimum, align with what we're expected to pay. Now I can't trust that they'll 1) do a decent job and 2) properly rectify the situation when the job isn't decent. I won't be coming back as this was a waste of time and lots of money. I will (and have) gone to more affordable places with better customer service and I'd advise the same to anyone else. read more

Ladies, this place is LEGIT. I've lived all over the country and have been to my fair share of nail salons.. this is by far my favorite. Everyone I've met has been extremely pleasant to talk to, and you can tell that they are genuinely interested in you and your needs. All of the girls that have done my nails are extremely professional and are very careful to make sure your nails come out perfect and exactly how you want them. I had a gel set last nearly 4 weeks (I only went in because they were growing out, no chips or issues). Usually by week 2 anywhere else, they are cracking and peeling. Any other salon would take off my dip powder nails without cost if I'm getting new nails in place ...but this place wanted $30 to remove PLUS the cost of the new mani. I understand a $5-10 removal fee that some places have ..but $30? And I was already planning to get some upgraded manis for my group. So how much would the cost be just for a manure if that's the cost for a removal?? Can't tell since they don't post their prices online. They wanted a bunch of information up front including my email, card on file etc. and it just made me uncomfortable. I wanted to try someplace new to treat my mom and MIL to some mani/pedis and have a full spa day. Considering how much I knew I was going to spend, I didn't want to feel like I was going to be charged for every little thing. She was so sweet and attentive and my mani and pedi came out perfectly! We hit it off right away and it was so fun to chat with her. She was always checking in, asking my preferences and adjusting as needed. And when I had a situation arise that I needed to leave early for, she was so quick efficient and understanding and I was still blown away by the quality of her work under the time pressure.
