Apart from having almost all male techs, the attention to detail is superb. The place is small with limited parking but worth the wait and hassle. Everything is clean, all the staff are friendly and has a bar available with a few complementary drinks for paying customers. I opted for champagne, which you could get 2 glasses of while getting my nails done. My other family members opted for a Pineapple Fizz cocktail which was pretty and delicious. Cocktails are 1 per person, but they gave us 2 drinks each. Needless to say my nails are gorgeous, and the pedicure was relaxing. read more

I gave 3 stars for the lady pictured who tried her best to fix the issue. After the 3rd try of attempting to get it right and 5 coats of gel polish I had enough and kindly ask them to stop. The lady who did my manicure also cut my cuticles on two different fingers. I would not return here to get my nails done. This was a simple manicure and pedicure with gel polish totaling $85 I updated this review with the 2day update. They do a good job cleaning up your nails and shaping them. I got a basic mani in which they also massaged my arms in warm lotion. I am happy with the color and they did a excellent job painting my nails perfectly. They always seem busy when I am there, expect to wait maybe 15-20 minutes before they actually start. Other places are usually waiting for me to pick a color, while here I am still waiting after I pick my color. The massage chairs are really good and I could sit in them all day. As another review said, there are two mani stations and about 10 pedi stations. Usually I get the mani while sitting in one of the pedi stations. They have a lot of nexgen colors. However they do seem pretty pricy, I would have to get one to see if it is worth it. I pay the same price for my usual nexgen spot but it is worth it, even though they are far away. read more

Left here bleeding, and my nails look like this. The whole staff was sitting around just talking shit. I had come here in the past for a manicure, and did not remember it being bad. Awful pedicure. My nails were cut SO short, and I asked for a square shape and she gave me... what looks like whatever she felt like! She told me my nails were dry and of course they weren't, didn't even put my sandals on before she started painting and didn't even do the basics of a pedicure. This place is across the street from my apt so I decided to give it a try in hopes that I wouldn't have to drive too far for a decent mani/pedi. I got the basic manicure and pedicure combo. My pedicure was done by an elder lady and she did a good job. However, my manicure was done by a male and I could sense that he might be new. He did an overall very bad job at my manicure because he didn't thoroughly apply the second coat, or even shaped the nails well. I'm not sure if he even cut my cuticles? It doesn't appear so. If you refer to my photos and zoom in, you can see how badly shaped my nails were and how the second coat did not completely cover the first coat on some of my nails. Not even a few hours after I left the salon small bubbles began to form over the polish. I even asked him to fix and re-polish a few of my nails during my appt but I just didn't have time to sit through the entire manicure process again (had a flight to catch). Also, my "massage" (if you can even call it that) left much to be desired. It's sad because they were all nice here and the salon seems hygienic. But the skills are severely lacking. I honestly could've done a better manicure job myself. :( I will not be returning. read more

Im in Dallas for work so I stopped by this nail salon as it's down the street from the Double Tree. I didn't look at the reviews because how bad can a salon really be? I will start by saying the staff is very friendly and kind which is very important to me. The establishment is clean. As for the quality of work produced by the two women who performed a basic manicure and pedicure on me was appalling. I can't speak for the other employees, maybe I got a bad batch. It was as if they'd never done this type of work before. I knew the moment they started it was going to be a disaster. I was right. A basic manicure and pedicure cost $45 by the way, absurd especially given the lack of skill! I went in for a gel mani and pedi but then the lady started putting Etsy base coat on my toes which isn't protocol for gel. I decided to cancel the gel and go ahead with a basic mani and pedi because at the rate we were going I didn't trust the skill for a gel. The pedicurist kept digging her finger nail into my toes which was painful. My manicurist was ripping my cuticles and massaged my hands AFTER she applied polish which is very strange. To overcompensate for the awful paint job she applied 2 THICK layers of top coat which takes twice as long to dry if at all. The photos speak for themselves. Worst mani pedi I've ever receive Again, the staff is very friendly but DO NOT waste your money here. If you're looking for a basic mani/pedi, paint them yourself or go to a different salon. I would have them fix my awful manicure/pedicure but the skill level doesn't exist to do so. Day 2: just as expected. I'm so upset I wasted $45 dollars here. read more

Wouldn't recommend this place at all. Very upset on the lack of service they gave. She added way too much coats of dipping powder, I believe it was six coats just for the color coat and missed to put color on the edge on a few nails. When I asked for her to file it do some so it wasn't so thick she hardly cleaned it and looked very messy. The salon seemed clean and there wasn't any obnoxiously loud tv or music on the speakers. My manicure was okay. I selected a neutral color from their color options, but the one I ended up with did not look like the color I picked, even though the number was the same. I got the most basic manicure and it took about half the time it usually takes to remove and redo a dipping manicure. I'd be comfortable going again if I was in a hurry. I get these done regularly and never have an issue with them lasting two weeks, in fact, they usually last longer. The lady followed a little bit of a different procedure than I'm used to so that may have been it. Additionally, I like my nails very short and the lady kept trying to sell me acrylic extensions. Second time this has happened to me at this salon. I picked a dip color that I liked and it is not the same color as what I picked - I even pointed it out that it didn't look right when she did the first one. She just kept going and said it was.... The numbers are the same but the colors are not. You can clearly tell that there was a huge difference in the color and I was not happy with it. The lady doing my nails even noticed that it was not the same color, but responded that it was close enough. Close enough is not acceptable to me, considering I am the one paying for what I want. I was not offered a discount, and apology or anything. Extremely disappointed and will not be back. This was a blessing to have near our office and was prepared to send a few friends from work there but not anymore. If this were to only happen one time (and treated differently) I would not be as upset. The work they do is good, just make sure you have the right color. read more

I stopped into Nexgen to get a pedicure so I didn't have to sit in rush hour traffic. I was a little put off at first because I was the only customer in there during a seemingly busy time of day when people were off work and two employees were lounging in the pedicure chairs with their bare feet up on the footrest. I understand those chairs are comfortable but it grosses me out when people put their feet on them without towels, especially employees who are not in the middle of getting a pedicure so their feet aren't clean.
