He just put the empty glass back on the stand. Also my toe nails were not cut straight and I was going to bring it to his attention but I noticed I accidentally smudged one toe on my flip flops when I went to the restroom and asked him to fix that one but it seemed like it was a pain or hassle for him to do so, so I didn't even bother to ask him to fix the odd diagonal angle of my other nails. The girl who did my mani just kinda slapped some lotion on my hands at the end, no massage or rubbing the lotion all the way in. However the woman who did my eyebrows was excellent and very sweet and professional. I was just kinda disappointed in the appointment as a whole, especially after seeing all the good reviews on here. Thank you for getting back to me. What is the best way that I could actually email or talk with someone about the service?

I am updating my review: My best friend and I visited this salon while in downtown Dallas, and…read moreoverall, it was a decent experience--but there were a few things that left us disappointed. The staff was very welcoming, and we appreciated that they told us the pricing upfront--no surprises there. The drinks were a nice touch, and the salon had a friendly and clean atmosphere. My nail tech was very kind and clearly a perfectionist. She did get a little frustrated when I moved my hand, but I could tell it came from wanting everything to be just right, which I appreciated. At one point, I told her I felt a burning sensation on one of my nails, and she immediately applied a calming spray, which helped. Unfortunately, my best friend didn't receive the same level of care. During her appointment, she mentioned that her nails felt hot while the acrylic was being applied. Her tech said that happens sometimes, which we understand, as it's not unusual. But several hours later, my friend's nails are still hurting her, and she was not offered anything to soothe the discomfort, unlike I was. It feels like her concerns weren't really addressed in the moment. Additionally, she asked for a tapered square shape, but the tech told her she should ask for coffin nails next time. We know what a tapered square looks like, so that exchange felt unnecessarily dismissive. Another reason for the rating drop is that we were charged for "length"--but we both got fairly short nails. We even posted photos because it's unclear where that extra charge came from. I'm not expecting a refund, and I understand that a salon in downtown Dallas will likely cost more, but with higher pricing should come a more consistent quality of service. While parts of the experience were positive, the discomfort my friend is still dealing with, along with the shape miscommunication and unclear pricing, made this visit fall short of expectations.

I stopped in during the 4th of July holiday week with my three nieces (two little ones and my twenty-something shopping buddy, lol) and we had such a lovely time. Even though it was busy, they made sure we had a comfortable space. Kevin was super accommodating from the moment I booked. He helped coordinate everything so the group could stay together, and I appreciated the attention to detail (also shoutout to Mandy, Diane and V!...our techs for the day). My elder niece and I went with spa pedicures, and I also had dip removal and a nail shape-up on my natural nails. My pedicure was terrific--the leg massage almost put me to sleep in the chair--I was so relaxed and it was just what I needed. My niece also got a manicure and said her experience was good, not mind-blowing, but still enjoyable. The little ones got their nails polished and were happy as can be. The Ulux staff even let them hang out in a massage chair together like "big girls" while they waited for our services to wrap up--adorable. Ulux offers complimentary drinks too: wine, soda, and water. My elder niece and I sipped wine, the girls got a bag of chips from the staff, and it all made for a festive girls' day out. Also, I received a discount as a first time visitor, which was a nice touch. Kevin mentioned they also have a second location in Oak Lawn, which I plan to check out next time. Parking in this area can be a little difficult, so I chose to Uber--definitely a smart move on a busy holiday week. All in all, it was a relaxing and fun experience with friendly vibes, a great atmosphere, and excellent customer service. I'll definitely be back for more pampering soon. Happy Hands, Happy Feet!

But to say they're predatory is the least I could say about my experience. The older lady who greeted me when I first walked in pretended she doesn't speak good English and spoke with me in broken English when I'm requesting a regular pedicure and a gel manicure. She's acting all confused and pushing me to get a gel pedicure. I have never gotten a gel pedicure, nor do I need it, saying that they don't have the color to match it and other confused facial expressions and broken English. After she saw I am not going to get a gel pedicure, she proceeded to tell me it's okay, she can do it. I sit down, and then I'm choosing the type of pedicure I'm getting, and last month I got the same: Mojito pedicure. She proceeded to say this doesn't include nail color removal and told me to do the one above it, which is ~$15 more. I looked confused because I have never seen it being told that, ohh, to remove the color on your toenails, you need to get this pedicure to do so; otherwise, the one you chose doesn't include it. It's a freaking regular nail color gets removed by the cheapest nail polish Aston and mind you, I got the same services done 4 weeks ago here with them. So I did comment and told her this is very weird, and I have never seen this before, not even here on my last visit. I have done my nails in Beverly Hills & West Hollywood CA where I used to live before moving to Dallas and even in 2 of the most expensive cities of America, I wasn't told this ridiculous thing. Both the older lady and the younger one who's working now on my manicure were silent. The one who does my pedicure ends up doing a 1/10 job with this service, even though she bamboozled me into a more expensive pedicure service due to the ridiculous reason she stated. She doesn't cut the sides of the nails, she doesn't remove nail color stain even though I have asked her to and she now talks perfect English and said it doesn't need and doesn't tell me why she doesn't want to do it. She then proceeded to huff and muff and talks under her breath and seemed annoyed by me. I'm a person who tips 20% anywhere I go, but this was the first time ever in my life I have decided to tip significantly less due to this older lady's scamming behavior. So with all of this being said, I won't be returning again to this nail salon, and unfortunately, they have lost a regular customer!

Her experience was rushed, not the best customer service and the lady doing her nails asked her three times if she was paying or was I because the nails were $80. That isn't a lot for nails. Like who does that? It made my partner feel as if she thought she couldn't afford the nails. Now myself! I loved my experience. My cocktail was strong. My nail tech and pedicure tech almost put me to sleep and their customer service was top notch. Like I can't explain how good it was. The made my feet look model ready. My little manicure has my hands popping and that massage. Yassss!!!! Never once did they ask who was paying? The never asked if I could afford! It was just a great service with two great women. I wish off my experience I could give them a 5. But how my partner was treated I stand with my four.

They have consistently been reliable, professional, and incredibly thorough every single time I visit. For context, I don't get gel, acrylics, dip, or elaborate nail art. I simply get natural nail manicures and pedicures with clean cuticle work, short nails, and a semi-shiny buff. It sounds simple, but proper natural nail care takes skill and attention to detail, and BeYou consistently delivers. After a very disappointing manicure and pedicure at another salon left my nails over-trimmed, my cuticles improperly cared for, and even resulted in an injury to my toe, I came straight to BeYou. Their technician immediately recognized what had gone wrong and carefully explained why the manicure technique I had received was not appropriate. They did everything they could to correct the cuticle work, reshape my nails, and make me comfortable again. While they couldn't undo nails that had already been cut too short or heal an injured toe, they absolutely salvaged the experience. What I appreciate most is the consistency. Every visit is thorough, meticulous, and never feels rushed. The staff is always kind, welcoming, and genuinely invested in doing quality work rather than just getting you in and out the door. Pro tip: If you're planning to walk in, call ahead first. They're popular for a reason and can get busy, but every time I've called on my way over, they've either been able to fit me in or let me know the best time to come by shortly afterward so I haven't had to sit around waiting. I've always appreciated how accommodating and honest they are about availability. If you're someone who values healthy natural nail care, proper cuticle work, and technicians you can trust to be consistent every single visit, I can't recommend BeYou Nail Bar enough. They'll continue to be my first choice.

Based on the pricing listed on their website, I expected to pay $35 for an acrylic fill, $5 for shaping, and $8 for a French tip design. Instead, my total came to $80. However, I was charged an additional $20 for gel polish on top of the acrylic fill, but after getting acrylic fills for years at many different salons, I've never been charged a separate fee just for the color. That left me wondering whether the advertised $35 acrylic fill only includes the acrylic base with no polish at all, because that wasn't clear. On top of that, the French tip design was charged as $20 instead of the $8 listed on the website. While I'm happy with how my nails turned out, the pricing felt inconsistent with what was advertised, and I left feeling deceived by the unexpected charges.
