I would highly recommend Empire Nails and Spa! I popped into this place at the last minute because…read moreI had a couple of nails lifting. This was my second time going there. The first time was by happenstance. I was looking for a place that was open later than 7:00 that day. So, I thought I would try again. Well, I was greeted with a pleasant, "Hello, how may I help you?" Customer service and greetings go a long way with me. Let me start by saying I've been looking for a permanent nail tech for a long time. I told them I just needed a fill, no polish. I was exhausted from a long day's work and just wanted to fix my nails and go home. That's when Kelle walked out with her big personality and welcomed me in and directed me to her station. She was so kind and personable! This is when the best experience in a nail shop I've had in a very long time began. I love my nails and I'm very particular about them. I know what I want and how I want it. Kelle started right in telling me I need to soak them off next time but she'll fix them up for me this time, the best she can. Then I asked about designs. She advised me not to get them this time because I need to soak them off, it's too expensive and they won't last long, not worth it...get them next time. That's when I new I found a new nail tech and my new nail home! IT WAS THE HONESTY FOR ME! I knew I needed to soak them off. She was willing to lose money...that's integrity and I LOVE IT! By the way, my nails turned out amazingly...I LOVE THEM! Oh yeah, another thing...I WAS NOT RUSHED! I was allowed the time to bask in my treatments, relax from my heavy day, and ENJOY my treatments! It gets better...keep in mind I just wanted to get a fill and leave. I ended up getting a pedicure with Cindy and she's great! She brought me a warm heating pad for my neck, little did she know my shoulder was hurting so badly. Then she offered me a drink. I was in heaven. My quick run-in turned into a couple of pampered hours and newly found family. Kelle and Cindy thank you for the healing this week. I'll see you in a couple of weeks! -Kym

My mother and daughter are regulars here.. I rarely like this kind of stuff and honestly find it…read moreoverpriced. Since my family are valued customers here, I'll be nice, enough. From MY experience. I'm not given the royal treatment like my family. Sometimes the options can be overwhelming and takes me a while to decide. I don't like feeling rushed or pushed for something that I may not want. Then I feel nervous asking for anything, change my choice, an explanation of what kind of special I selected and what the difference is. The technicians can be easily irritated and that's not a welcoming nor a returning experience I want. I'm already stressing about paying and just want to make sure I like the choices since they're long term nails. I've paid for a treatment and received the bare minimum. No massages, no special scrubs or hot towels... when I asked they said I paid for the basic.... When it's the same thing I get when my family comes.. additional add ons can be charged if you want a shape or style, kind of bizarre. They pick and choose the timeframe they want. I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't like the bottom of my nails to be full of gunk nor the sides of my nails digging in.

Long story short it's been a week and my cuticles on both big toes are still super inflamed and maybe infected. Even then they partially gave me my money back and profusely apologized but I still was unsatisfied so this is just for everyone thinking about going there I will now probably have ingrown toenails for a long time thanks to this place. Walked in to this nail salon and automatically the guy who was working in the front did not greet…read moreme and was rushing to check me and my sister in. I wanted duck nail white tip, I showed the picture I wanted and asked from the very beginning how much the nails would be. They never gave me an answer and I asked about 4 times, the lady came to get me and proceeded to sit me and put nails on me that were not duck tip and still hadn't told me the price for the short nails I wanted. So now I'm frustrated because now I'm asking her if she's going to be able to make them look like duck nails? she ignores me then takes the nails off and finally finds the duck tip. Well the man from the front finally comes around to let me know how much my nails would be, which were at $105 for small white tip duck nails & 2 fingers with a palm tree. I said oh no thank you I will do just the French tip with no design, they said $85 but with the discount they had going on, it would come out to it being $75 and I was like okay thats fine I'll do that. I felt the lady frustrated with me already, because I'm asking for her to make my nails shorter and she just wouldn't go shorter. I'm guessing she was trying to keep the price high I'm really not sure but I like short nails so just do them short, right? She finally starts making them shorter like I asked but also starts filing the side of the nail, which is taking away the duck nail form. So I know now she's being petty with me for simply asking for what I want on the nails I'm paying for. I'm like okay I'm done with this just take my nails off because she clearly wasn't getting what I wanted. I was going to give her $20 for wasting her time/nail tips. She took it upon herself to grab my hands roughly and slapped one of my hands and made a smart comment like "calm down girl it's okay" puts it into a little bucket with acetone to remove the tips I'd imagine. She takes off the "product/nail tip" but she ends up leaving my hands looking worse than what they already looked. I don't think it's fair to be treated such way when I was going in to come back out feeling pretty, instead I came out crying because I felt like shrek with these hands. Maybe if I had a different lady working on my nails, it could've been a different story. The fact that they let me walk out like this, shows a lot about this place. Wouldn't recommend

There were only 2 technicians this night so I did wait a long time before I was serviced but it was fine. I really needed this. I had been sick and hadn't been for a pedicure in 2 months and I wasn't feeling myself and she fixed me right up. The shop could use some tidying up. There was polishes all over the places. The pedicure chairs are amazing, it worked the kinks in my shoulders out. Now my negative. I don't think technicians should be having loud conversations with customers on politics. To join in as a customer is expressing her dislike for America and how she's from Jamaica and they aren't like Americans. I felt like this was extremely offensive and inappropriate. I was so uncomfortable. I tried to drown out her cackling with my beats but I could still hear her mouth over the podcast. That was really unprofessional and as much as I want to go back to this shop because I believe they do a good job I don't know if I will.
