My mother and daughter are regulars here.. I rarely like this kind of stuff and honestly find it overpriced. Since my family are valued customers here, I'll be nice, enough. From MY experience. I'm not given the royal treatment like my family. Sometimes the options can be overwhelming and takes me a while to decide. I don't like feeling rushed or pushed for something that I may not want. Then I feel nervous asking for anything, change my choice, an explanation of what kind of special I selected and what the difference is. The technicians can be easily irritated and that's not a welcoming nor a returning experience I want. I'm already stressing about paying and just want to make sure I like the choices since they're long term nails. I've paid for a treatment and received the bare minimum. No massages, no special scrubs or hot towels... when I asked they said I paid for the basic.... When it's the same thing I get when my family comes.. additional add ons can be charged if you want a shape or style, kind of bizarre. They pick and choose the timeframe they want. I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't like the bottom of my nails to be full of gunk nor the sides of my nails digging in. read more

I went here despite the really bad review due to a coupon I got from the mail which was 30% off. Their customer service is great. They make you feel very welcome and I like their massage chair. It made the wait more than tolerable. I also love the 2 drink concept. Their pricing is also reasonable. $30 for a basic foot spa and regular pedicure with it. However, I am just disappointed with the color and quality of my gel manicure. I got the oak buff and from the sample, it looks more brownish but when put on me, it looks more pinkish. And only been 2 days and it looks like the Polish is ready to peel already . P.s I have been offered by the salon to get my nails fixed. I went in a little scared because i had previously gotten acrylics at a different place in mesquite, and i needed to change them. I couldn't stand looking at my botched nails. I went in and Kelley's husband removed them painlessly and quickly! Which has never happened. I saw Kelley's nails and i liked them. She offered to do mine and she completely understood the assignment. I'm super picky, i need them to be symmetrical and the same length, and also look as natural as possible (i know it sounds dumb), but Kelly did an excellent job and i absolutely love my nails. She was personable, friendly. Conversational, knowledgeable and i enjoyed my time. I also observed her hubby do a really super cute set of French tip with pink. Everytime I'm in Forney I love stopping by at this nail salon. From the outside of the building it looks uninhabitable but when you walk in it's beautiful! Everyone is courteous and the staff is diverse meaning they have Male and female staff members to do your nails which is nice. I got the classic pedicure for $27 that takes about 45 minutes which isn't bad. Danny was the person who did my nails was so kind and friendly. We had a good conversation and he was very accommodating! The owner's husband as well is so friendly and it was a pleasure to chat with him on my way out. They do have a bar and will serve alcoholic drinks, soda or water if you'd like. I'm not sure if they'll charge you for the alcoholic beverages but for the soda and water it's free with your mani/pedi. Moved to TX 1yr ago. Had not had my nails done since the dreaded 2020. For the past yr Kelle has been doing my nails. She did a good job and I felt I always tipped well. Last time I was there I walked in, Kelle was on the phone. She nodded and pointed for me to sit down, pointed to put my hand on the table, and did this all the way through my appt-she remained on the phone the entire time. When I was at the last step of getting my nails done she got off the phone. Never said. hello, asked how I was doing-nothing. It wasn't until I went to pay that she spoke to me. What's sad is that at a prior appt she told me things were slow. Well, if that's how she is treating her customers (and some of the reviews written here mentioned the lack of customer service) then it may get even slower. I have worked in the service industry. People are coming to you to spend their money. DO NOT treat them like they are beneath you. If the call was an emergency excuse yourself. If you want to chat do it on your own time. Not when your customer is sitting right in front of you for 45 minutes. This area has a multitude of nail salons. I will be finding another one. read more

I've been coming to empire since I moved to forney almost a year ago but only for the pedicures until recently. I've had great experiences up until today. Usually everyone there is very friendly and welcoming. Ironically today the owner kelle was extraordinarily rude and it was unwarranted. She wasn't even the one servicing me. My dip and polish didn't match despite them being from a matching set. Since I had just had the same set I thought maybe there was a mixup. Unfortunately the lady doing my pedicure did not speak English so she went to get the owner to help. Instead of the owner being helpful and helping the lady Kelly became belligerent. I don't tolerate disrespect so I paid full price for my half done service but I'll never step foot in there again. read more

I've done my nails for years and in multiple locations , but I've never experienced such a terrible experience like today. I disliked the shape , 3 nails were slanted to the right and response to that "it's your nail, one side is shorter than the other" I asked my cuticles to be removed, he "completed" that is one minute , looks terrible . If I could give it 0 stars, I would! My friends and I came in for 4 pedicures and 2 manicures (2 guys & 2 girls). They immediate started one of the guys and one of the girls. The other guy sat there for about 30 minutes for them to start his pedicure. I sat there for over an hour waiting to get started on my nails or toes. A woman walked in and they immediately started her. Meanwhile, I was dripping in sweat because the ac didn't even seem like it was on. I would say props to them for offering me a drink but it was room temperature at best. I decided I had enough and walked out and left my friends to finish their mani pedis. It wasn't until I was already putting my shoes back on that they magically had someone ready to start my pedicure. Long story short, if your idea of relaxation is sitting in a chair for at least 2 hours with your feet in luke warm water and a room temperature drink while it's at least 90°F in the spa, you'll love it. read more

This is my usual spot but I tend to overlook some of the bad customer service issues. Today I had it! My daughter and I went in for manis and me a pedi, we were the second ones there at opening. Yet we watched about ten people come in after who got serviced before my daughter. I finally spoke up and they still didn't help her. I didn't even finish my mani I was too furious!! Most of the men that work here do an awful job to top it off. They cut you constantly and the nails don't last and look like trash. However when it came time to fix my nail that started to log only after 4 days being done instead of getting me in and out for 1 nail to get done he wanted me to wait 1 he or longer bc there was people in front of me. To be fair, I've had my nails done here (mani/pedi) on 3 separate occasions. Convenient if you live in Forney. I would say this is more of an emergency, need to get your nails done for a meeting tomorrow, kind of place. It won't be my go-to for a relaxing pedicure, and here's why: - The woman who was asked to do my manicure, rolled her eyes and scuffed her feet as she reluctantly walked toward me. - The pedicures are always rushed - I saw employees put the pumice stones back in their box for the next guest (without sanitizing it prior) - It is very loud, between the music, tv, children - not relaxing at all I don't mean to sound critical - but I have given this location a fair chance and 3/3 times I was not satisfied with the services. This is the friendliest nail salon I've ever been in. From the time you walk in the door, you are greeted by a very nice front desk lady. Then the nail tech, not sure what his name was, but he was so helpful and kind to my 3 kids. He got them and myself a drink, and every time my baby girl dropped her toy on the floor, he'd stop what he was doing to pick up her toy. I have used them for years. But i went on Friday and it was the worst experience ever. The last few times it has been but today was miserable. I had decided I was going to get my nails done and go all out (I'm a mom, wife and work full time and just wanted some quit pampering) I did the best pedicure and manicure. The lady was on her phone most of the time, she didn't massage (she beat me instead) she cut my foot because she wasn't paying attention. She never did anything i asked. I was very frustrated that I paid for all the massage and relaxation and got non of it And let me tell you about the skin she burnt and ripped off when waxing my eyebrows. And when I said "wow that's hot and hurts" she got mad. Geez I didn't want that skin So $94 dollars later (and I didn't do gel or fake nails) on a manicure, pedicure, eyebrows and lip wax I got about $25 dollars of service. I was having a hard time articulating what I wanted, but Phillip was very patient and got my nails exactly how I wanted them. He was very gentle- even removing the old acrylic from my nails was not painful. This was my first time here. First impressions when I walked in is that it's a very nice. I was offered a beverage twice and was made sure I was comfortable. Nice ladies. I love that their pedi chairs have the plastic covering over the tub. Very sanitary. However wish they had newer, softer towels. The ones they have are old and rough. Doesn't feel good to have my legs dried with a rough towel. Also their a little overpriced. Other than that the people were friendly. The experience wasn't bad but it wasn't spectacular either. Talk about pampering! My feet (which suffer from nerve deadness due to diabetes) now have feeling in them! My insurance should pay for this. My feet haven't felt this good in a long, long time. The basic foot package is called the "Classic"; after a bit of an upsell, I got the next higher package which included hot stones and some kind of cellular debridement.
