I usually like to come here, cause the owner seems to be friendly and very welcoming, but lately they have been doing a terrible service, and it's one particular lady, every time I visit, she's being assigned to me, the last time I didn't want her to do my nails, but I didn't have a choice, cause I thought because I haven't been there in a while, maybe she has improved but Boy! Great people, great nails. while I was getting them done, there was no pain, nor bleeding, no nips at my finger, and the nails came out great with no lumps or cracks or unevenness, and I got exactly what I wanted. I could not recommend this place more. 10/10 experience. It smells great in there! It was full of happiness, smiles, and positive energy everywhere. My nail tech was JOHN. I have no idea what she was trying to do, but it resulted in me bleeding and it's the next day and it's throbbing which means it's most likely infected. So disappointed I walked in and mentioned I was new to the area and happy there was no wait for a pedicure and one nail repair. I was worked on by a very old man who I doubt has any sort of credentials. Long story short as you can see from the photo my paint job has weirdly shrunken after ONE day, I have two abrasions on this foot from where he scraped me too much with a power drill file and again with a buffing bar. I knew when he was trimming my nails with the cuticle cutter that he was not working correctly and it sucks that $45 went right down the drain. I mentioned a 10% off deal that popped up via yelp check in and the first response I got was "well can you write us a good review?" Dude seriously? Walked in for a pedicure and received a cut instead. As I was going to sit in the chair I pushed myself off of the floor and slipped on a big puddle of water and cut the side of my foot on a chair nearby. Didn't want to get my feet wet afterwards because of my blood I had on my foot. The owner of this place put super glue on my foot as I was walking out. She said I should be fine. I didn't get my toes done here. They said sorry and that "accident happen". I left and came back wanting to speak to the owner (which I didn't know was the one that had put superglue on me). She would cut me off before I could express my concerns. All I wanted was to speak to the owner to let their employees know to clean any water on the floor so no one else would get hurt. She said she already did that (in the 10 min. I was gone) and she sent me off with a pat on the back. I walk in to an overall beautiful clean nail spa, a masculine lady with short hair greets me quickly asking what I'd like I tell her a soak off and a gel manicure she tries to sell me on "dip powder" I say no and explain I'm trying to allow my nails a little break... she then tries to sell me on acrylic I say no again... then she begins taking a tool and digging it under my existing nail set to remove them which cause further damage ... I always get compliments and people tell me that they have been to other salons to get ombre nails, but it doesn't turn out as well as it does here. I went to Mars and Venus to get my nails done on Thursday the 19th I walked in and asked for just a regular basic French tip because I am going to a banquet and I needed my nails done. I have been going to Mars and Venus for about a year and a half. they always do a great job, however when I walked in I noticed a new manager and all new workers as well. I asked for something very basic so I didn't think it would be messed up this bad. I did not want to be rude so I did not tell the lady that i did not like the weather they turned out on top of that I was with my four year old niece who was ready to go. They were very rude to my niece, so I ended up just getting and leaving once my nails were done and decided I was going to call the following day. I called Friday morning and the manager on the phone was very rude and disrespectful told me that they cannot give me a refund but they would redo my nails for free, I told him multiple times I did not want my nails redone because the lady who did them filed my real nails down so short that they were sore from the last day. I asked him if I could just come in and get my money back and he told me they would give me a gift card with only half of the amount of what I spent on my nails. When I told him that that was my hard earned money and I needed a refund so I can go somewhere else he told me on the phone and i quote, "i gotta go bye" hung up on me and declined all my next calls. I am new to the area and had been to this facility only one other time. My first experience was good. On Friday, March, 12, I called to schedule a fill appointment with the previous tech Ms. Elise ( which was amazing ) I was informed the was no longer with them but could schedule for 230, with someone else. I arrived to my scheduled appointment 5 minutes early. Immediately it was clear the tech was not pleased as she reached my table she slammed her nail kit on the table and walked away, 30 minutes into my fill she informed me she had a client and someone else would do my nails. The person to continue working on me was way too busy for me can!! She would stop working on me and excuse herself every few minutes, to go handle other matters. My experience was ridiculous. What should have been an hour appointment took a bit over two hours? I am not the type to create a scene, so I sat there for way too long, paid, and left the facility. By Sunday, my nails were lifting, and to avoid and fungus I had the $50 two day old (fill) nails removed. I paid $50 for a horrible experience and work that could not be kept. read more

We arrived about 10 min early and were assigned chairs with our regular nail technicians. We both get monthly pedicures and always leave a $10 tip for each technician. I am a Hispanic woman married to a Black man. As we were about to be serviced an older Caucasian lady walks and announces she has an 11am appt with the same technician that was attending my husband. His technician was told to stop working on my husband and to attend the Caucasian lady Why?? We scheduled our appointments with the manager! My husband is a retired Federal LE as well as a veteran and I am also Federal LE. This may be acceped behavior by some. We will never patronize them again as we find this way of doing business repulsive!!
