I recently visited Citrus Nail Bar to get my 10-year-old daughter a kid pedicure. When we arrived, I signed in on the tablet and specifically selected/signaled that we were there for a children's pedicure service. Unfortunately, the experience quickly became uncomfortable when the manager, Holly, told me that my daughter "wasn't a kid" because she was too tall. She then stated that kid pedicures were only for children 9 and under, which seemed like a completely random rule considering it was posted nowhere on the service menu, booking system, or anywhere in the salon that customers could clearly see beforehand. I also want to clarify that at no point did I scream at anyone. I firmly and respectfully asked her to show me where the alleged 9-year-old cutoff for kid services was posted, and she was unable to provide that information because it was not displayed anywhere. Additionally, despite mentioning it later in her response online, she never informed me in person about any student discount being available. My daughter is still very much a child, and the entire interaction felt unnecessary, dismissive, and honestly embarrassing in front of her. As a parent, I expect businesses to show kindness and professionalism, especially when interacting with children. Height does not determine whether someone is a child, and if there are age restrictions for services, they should be clearly communicated and displayed for customers ahead of time. While the salon itself may be nice, the customer service and approach we experienced left a negative impression. I hope this feedback encourages more professionalism, accountability, and clearer communication moving forward. read more

Horrible nails and service. While a majority of the staff was very kind, the tech who did my nails was incredibly rude. I requested corrections to the nail shape and bulkiness multiple times and was met with an eye roll and told it would be fixed later every time. When I asked for a specific nail's shape to be corrected I was flat out told no, but when I asked again the shape was half heartedly corrected while the tech told me it was my fault and that all the nails were even. (They were not.) The nail shape still did not match the corresponding nail on the other hand. The nail tech also used a curved nail tip, which if you didn't know makes the nail look like it's pointing up if you get almond since the tip of your nail will be right at the apex of the curve. My fiancé and I came in for a mani/pedi, and unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. I was initially placed with a nail tech named Tom, who struggled to understand what I wanted--even with someone trying to help translate. He proceeded to cut my nails unevenly and even cut one far too short. When I pointed it out, he rolled his eyes and continued working without addressing the issue. He cut the rest of my nails longer but never fixed the one he cut too short, almost like he was hoping I wouldn't notice. He was extremely rough, digging into my cuticles multiple times to the point where I had to ask for a different tech. The new tech immediately saw the issue and even admitted the previous work wasn't right. I showed her my inspiration photo, and what I had on my hands looked nothing like it. She offered to redo all the nails, but after being there so long and feeling so frustrated, I only had her fix the one. To make matters worse, when Tom left, he slammed his tools and shut his kit aggressively in front of everyone--clearly unprofessional behavior. No one seemed surprised by his attitude, which tells me this likely wasn't the first time. We will absolutely not be returning to this salon, and I would caution others before booking. I've attached a photo of what I asked for versus what I received--he used white tips and just layered gel over them, which I've never even seen before. read more

The service started out ok. My daughter and I were seated and the foot bath started. My daughter was attended to fairly quickly and I was brought a drink. I waited quite a while and began feeling sick because of the smell. The foot bath was a gel and became uncomfortable while noone came to check on me. finally I asked the attendant helping my daughter to add water to the gel so I could rinse my feet. I went in for a dip manicure about a week ago. The salon itself is nice, and has a relaxing vibe and they offer complementary beverages with your services. Henry did my nails, and he was quick and efficient with the dip process. My nails turned out pretty good initially (aside from the fact that there was no cuticle work/trimming done at all), but he did not wait long enough for the topcoat to dry and when he sent me to wash my hands, the topcoat smudged and needed to be redone. That was no problem, except the second topcoat he used was a UV gel. That gel did not really adhere to the dip layer, and started chipping right off a couple of days later. I went back and he redid it again with the UV gel, which has lasted at least a bit longer so far. I will go back and give them another try, because their prices are reasonable and the work was pretty good. read more

The ambiance of this salon caters to the small part of me that requires luxe service with a "girly" vibe every now and then. Super happy I decided to give this place a try since it is right around the corner from my new house. "Lily" has a fabulous bob haircut is a wonderful conversationalist and did a fantastic job on my deep-holiday-red ballerina-style powder dip nails. (I highly recommend trying the MATTE gel topcoat for a modern twist to an old classic). I rarely choose red, but Lily helped me when I requested a deep/dark one. I do wish they had a bigger selection of powder dips (and I hope after they see this they might add some because I definitely intend to come back honestly I might even bring my own powder colors if they allow that). I also love how some salons allow you to have your own kit if you're a regular customer so you know you're only using your own tools for your nails. I am confident they are sanitary but it's a nice level of customization that could be considered as I definitely plan to be a repeat customer. If I could say one thing it would be that just because it's a nice ambiance doesn't mean it's worth it. Their prices are unbelievable overpriced for the amount I paid for the results o got for my nails the paint job is horrible you charge me for a special service fee which is $30 and for a length of my nails are medium they're not even long and made me pay $135 for something I don't like. I just stick with a nail tech and come out a lot cheaper and way better results. They're a little to square shaped to me. And my thumb is started to lift a little bit already and I just got them done Friday smh read more

The worst gel manicure ever! It started pealing and chipping day 2. Went back to have them fix them and the tech, Kevin, was hurting me with the drill because he didn't want to wait for the nails to soak. So, he got up and left and refused to fix them. The manager told me that I moved too much. I requested a refund and she told me that she didn't have to because it has been more than 7 days, it wasn't. She threw money on table, removed my hands that were soaking and told me to leave. I will never return and do not recommend them. read more

I haven't peen to a salon in YEARS because of bad experiences but lately I just felt like I needed to give it another try. I went my first day and got my nails done by Mary who did a WONDERFUL job!!! She was just amazing. I will be requesting her for my nails every time. I only went for my nails but was having such a nice time that I also decided to try eyelash extensions for the first time, Michelle did them and she was amazing for my first time and made it so easy and they came out beautiful (everyone has been complimenting me for them). I went back again today to get my eyelashes refilled and again Michelle was perfect. I also got waxed for the first time. Elise waxed my legs and I hardly felt a thing! They were so smooth after. Then Linda did my Brazilian wax and she was great. She walked me through everything and she did it so fast. I've gone 3 different times in the last week and I will probably be back in another week or so. This place is awful. Don't bother making appointments here. My daughter and I made appointments for dip manicures, and we still waited for over an hour. 2 of my nails have already cracked. I came back to have them fixed and they told me I would have to wait over an hour again to fix their mistakes and crappy job. They proceeded to berate me and claimed that I broke my nails on purpose. I told them that was ridiculous, and I would never do that. While I'm waiting the man walks around to offer me a drink, and the lady quickly tells him I don't get a drink. Not that I want one, but come on. I'm not breaking my nails on purpose for free water or a Coke. The repaired nail has paint all over the finger because they were in such a hurry. Very bad experience with the rude management. They ignored me and catered to the white customers then told me they could work on both hands and feet at the same time, but changed that when another white customer came in. Also the lady doing the pedicure seemed like she had a problem holding my leg up to scrape my feet. Citrus nail bar is the worst place you can go, please just save your time and money and look for somewhere else. I went in for some coffin tip acrylics just painted over, my manicurist was in a bad mood and everything went downhill when I asked him to paint the sides of the nails as well. He finished and stormed off no UV light no bye nothing. I pay and leave 3 hours later and the nails are still wet and smudging! I call them back and they agree to repaint them. Here I go again giving them a chance to redeem themselves for a sloppy job.. this time the gentleman was nice and did a great job, that is until 1 hour later and my nails are looking choppy and bumpy!
