The pedicure was what I needed. I no longer live in the area. I live in Fort Worth and could not find a review or location in the area that mentioned if the nail salon did male pedicures. I walked into a few salons, and they looked at me like, "Why are you here, Sir! There is a long wait," which translates to you are tall with big feet-not today. Lol. Well. I drive back to Forney for a pedicure. This review is for the guys who want to feel confident about getting their feet done at a nail salon that welcomes their feet and money. This salon does. The quality has always been great here. There is a complimentary drink plus nice massage chairs. The technicians don't stay here long, so it's hard to find the same technician twice. RUSHING and very rude! Walked in and the nail lady was rushing from the time my butt hit the seat! Seemed annoyed that I wanted to see two dip colors to compare AFTER she told me the colors in the book are not accurate. She ended up being nice afterwards and we did have a small chat so I went ahead and got my pedicure. The man who did my pedicure was rude! He asked what color I wanted and if I wanted white, I thought he was joking so I laughed it off and said no...well I'll be got darned he tried to put white on my feet anyways, I told him I did not want white and m with an attitude he asked me well then what color do you want? I found this place a year ago, and have been going every 3 weeks since! It's a bit confusing the first time you go- they have you fill out a little paper with the services you need and it can be hard to know what is what if you're not a nail salon regular. That being said, there's always someone up front to help you fill it out if needed. If you go on a Saturday or Sunday, you will absolutely be waiting a bit before being helped, even if you have an appointment. But you get 2 free drinks (yes, alcoholic drinks) which I loveee as a perk and makes the waiting a lot more bearable! The establishment is always clean, chairs are comfy, and I don't ever request someone specific because what I get done is easy and straightforward. First time here, and left happy. Got the organic mani pedi with gel on my hands. The treatments were nearly perfect, my only criticism is after my polish was on the person doing my hands asked if I wanted the treatment that was written on my paper. Yes, I did. So I believe I got all the elements of that service but I'm wondering if any substances used before they asked were not the ones that should have been used for the organic. That is why I rated 4 stars instead of 5. The supplies for the pedi came out arranged very artfully on a tray. Nice touch. The atmosphere is nice, people are pleasant. Salon decorated nicely. I liked that they took off my old gel polish while I was having my pedi, rather than leaving my hands wrapped in foil covered cotton soaked in acetone for the duration. I was offered a drink, selected wine as you can see in the photo. When I finished I was offered another which I thought was very nice, most places I go offer a soft drink or water after the wine. I seriously have to stop coming here. This place is very hit or miss. Last summer, I would get young nail techs who were very good! But every time I've gone since I've had issues. The pictures taken of my toes are after I went here. My finger nails are oddly shaped and aren't even in length. I don't know when the definition of a fill changed but obviously this place doesn't care to practice honest business because their main concern is to price gouge you half way through the appointment. The person at the front desk told me it would be $45 for a gel fill as well as Kyle, the rude and incompetent technician. When I sat in Kyle's chair, he insisted on finding ways to up charge me for the SAME EXACT design that I had. I literally told him I only wanted a fill a million times. There should be no additional cost if I'm literally asking for a fill. He ended up not giving me the same design I came in with. I've been going here for over a year and never had any issues until the new owners took over. The new owners do not take care of their clients. I went in for a nice relaxing me time. One of the things I hate that salons are doing is mani and pedis at the same time. This practice should be optional if the customer is in a rush. I got there and fill out my paper of what I want. I'm immediately taken to a pedicure chair and she quickly turns on the water to get me soaking. I sit down and put my feet in COLD water and I just let it go because I'll just tell them to fix the temp when she comes back. I try to get comfortable but notice the back of the chair is super reclined so I try to use the remote to adjust and it's not working. I notice that the entire back of the chair is broken. So I sit there soaking and sitting up waiting. When she gets back to me she puts in some like warm water and I tell her the chair is broken. She just smiles at me and doesn't understand. So I wait for someone else while my pedi is well underway. When I was able to catch someone in charge she just tells me it's fine and puts a pillow behind me to keep me from leaning back so much. Then the lady who is doing my nails comes and tells me to soak my fingers in extremely hot acetone. I'm trying to soak and she asked if I picked a color and I hadn't been given my samples to choose from. She comes with ONE book of colors and I didn't see any that I liked. So she just stands there until I choose from one of these colors. I just choose the darkest one that looks ok. Looked like a pearlish black. When she comes back with the color and does one spot on the nail I can see it's very brown. So I speak up before she starts doing all the fingers. She very annoyed that I do not like the color but instead of being me the color samples she asks what I want. So I just say black or glittery black. She comes back and files off the swatches of the brown color and does my nails. After a being twisted in my chair for her to do my nails and can't even enjoy the pedicure. She rushed through the nails and while the pedicure is wrapping up I examine my nails. The file job was terrible. But my biggest concern was my pinky nails was overly filed on one side and not the other so it made it look like it was curved to the right on my right hand. When I ask if she can try to straighten it out she tells me no my fingers are just curved that way. *extreme eye roll* Never thought they actually said that. Just in bad salon jokes. I say it wasn't crooked when I first came in. She took a small emery board they use for the pedi cure to fix the hardened dip on my nail and it's obviously not work. She couldn't even be bothered to get the right nail file. Then the same woman who propped me up with a pillow tells me the same thing that my nails are just crooked. Whether my fingers have a curve to them or not the mail should still be straight with the finger. I just told her it's fine and I'll like to pay now. She offered nothing off from the horrible nail job or broken chair. Which was not busy. They have about 20 pedicure chairs and about 8 of them were in used. I paid about $80 for both services. Then on my way home I noticed bigger problems. The nails were LUMPY! I had to go to another salon to get them redone all over again the same day. Another $45! But she did an amazing job. She had a hard time fixing the bad file job but got them to look decent again. read more

I have been coming to this salon for years and was always satisfied. The last few months the customer service has declined tremendously. As always I made an appointment and arrived a few minutes before. Instead of my service being done by the people I booked with, two people came to take care of me. it was explained that the people I booked with were very behind. The manager Sunny needs training on how to be a manager because she did nothing about my complaints either. Problems: 1. I have a PedEgg at home, why would I pay $60 for a dang PedEgg. 3. Cuticles not cut cleanly. 4.Also, the pedicure lady painted my toenails first then did my foot scrub.. I didn't want to put my fresh polished toenails in water for a foot scrub! 5. I was offered a refill on my drink, never got it. 6. So i use to frequent this nail salon for a fill every two weeks with Jonny getting french tip with designs or whatever nail picture i wanted and would pay $70-$90 a session and a pedicure every month with a couple different ladies for 10 months straight. I took a break from getting my nails done for about 5-6 months. I called the other say to make an appointment and was told Jonny left months ago and they would not tell me where he went, only that he recommended Katie. Hesitantly, I continued with the appointment and i seriously regret doing so. I asked for a simple acrylic full set with an almond shape. I wanted to do the infamous Hailey Beiber nails so I specifically asked for funny bunny and the tin man chrome overlay. Instead, i got a white clear acrylic powder with no label on it and the chrome over that. While it looks similar, it was not what i asked for? The shape is what bothers me most. Never once asked me if i liked the shape, Katie just hurried through the application and did not even smooth my nail with the Dremel the or round the apex appropriately before applying a top coat. Also, i asked her to cut my cuticles before she put my tips and acrylic on and she did not. She cut my cuticles after my nails were complete? So for my "almond shape" which was actually stiletto, a chrome overlay and cuticle cut my nails were $80. Ridiculous. These are not $80 quality nails. Two of them are also crooked. All in all, most of the techs left because it is under new management. Only 2 people remain from previous management. The service was subpar and not luxury whatsoever.
