I waited a while to do this but basically last Tuesday on 01/08/2025 I thought to go get a pedicure everything was fine until she started cutting my toenails, she cut my cuticle really deep causing me to react and bleed.I told her that hurt and she kept going then proceeded to do a poor paint job. Long story short it's been a week and my cuticles on both big toes are still super inflamed and maybe infected. Even then they partially gave me my money back and profusely apologized but I still was unsatisfied so this is just for everyone thinking about going there I will now probably have ingrown toenails for a long time thanks to this place. Linda gives a great pedicure. I go every 2 months. The staff is friendly and I always have a positive exoerience.

I can only base my rating and review off of getting my eyebrows waxed. That's all I come for but the lady is so sweet and so good! She knows to not do my eyebrows like a girl's. Lol she makes me look manly still, she just gets rid of all the hair around my brows and shapes them very slightly. Having said that, I definitely am gonna come back for a pedicure. This will be a short one until I come back and update it with more info. But I'd definitely give them a try if you are in the neighborhood! Ok now bye bye then! read more

I decided to visit this location once again. As my last visit was not my favorite today. I got my nails and toes done. My toes were not done to my expectations, but my nails were done phenomenally. The gentleman that did my nails did an excellent job. The arm massage was one that was made in heaven. I could have stayed there all day. The customer service was top tier.They treated us as if we were the only customers they had. What I asked for I got as far as my nails were concerned and I am so pleased and wool, we'll be back again to get them done. Unfortunately, my toes were not done as well, but the lady that did them was so nice. I can let that slide so if you're ever in garland and you're near this area, I need your nails done.They were quick efficient.The place was clean and they were very, very, very nice. read more

I needed a good pedi and decided on getting a mani too, so I stopped in since this is super close to home. It was about 45 mins after opening, and due to some staffing issues, I was told I would have to wait. There were two tech, two customers im chairs, and one waiting plus me. I had nothing planned for the day so I decided to wait. That wait was about 45-60, but my Tech Lucy took good care of me! I told her my concerns and she def listened. They served me wine while I got my foot massage. I wanted gel mani but I saw her personal nails and I loved them so I got a jelly manicure instead, and its sooo cute! I feel like a gummy bear lol. Prices for a short fill is $58 bucks with me having to explain how to paint the nail. Pedi was good but paint job horrible.

First time here and let me say.... the vibe was very nice. Everyone greets you and try to get you seated quickly. So once you enter, you tell them what you want done and of course you need to wash your hands. I love that because not only we keeping it safe and sanitize, I had to wash my hand anyways because I just ate a burger. Lol. I didn't catch the nail tech name that did my nails but she was super nice and very caring. She ask me right away if I would like something to drink. A lot of nail places I went to don't ask til you ask and I love that she went straight to ask me because I was super thirsty. She then proceed to show me how to move my chair up due to being pregnant, I need to be in a comfortable spot. The deluxe pedicure I chose was very fantastic. She seen how uncomfortable I was when it came to scrubbing so she didn't do it too hard and I'm telling you she didn't rush the process. She took her time to make my feet feel beautiful and soft. The massage was like heaven. I was so relaxed and I felt as if I could take a nap there. My toes has never felt so pretty and she did a great job with making it look perfect. Many places I went to usually rush the process and my toes always come out looking like it got ran over by a food cart but she was super gentle and did a wonderful job on my feet. The classic manicure with gel polish was simple of course but she still took her time to make my hand feel comfortable and of course took her time with my nails. Usually I get cut or a nail tech will over due the cutting the nails or the skin but she didn't rush it. She legit took her time and I'm telling you. I'm obsessed with her already. This place is the 2nd place that I've been to that treated me with care and make my nails look bomb. Too bad the other one I go to is far and this one is super close to home, so that's perfect for me. I'll be here again next time. love it read more

This is our 2nd time coming to this shop. I am not sure if the techs are well trained or not but some of them do have an attitude as if they don't care. The first time we were last minute before a trip so I didn't trip much that my nails fell off within a week. But this time I was really looking forward to a relaxing spa pedicure and I will say that the tech made my feet feel amazing but she didn't do a good job with my gel polish. My toe nails weren't cleaned up and they look very dull. And for my daughter's pedicure wow.. for all the add on and the running up of the bill the girl doing them knew she didn't know what she was doing. This was so sloppy. The first time she put my daughter's shoes on and it messed up the paint (but this is supposed to be gel) so is this not gel and you are selling it as gel! So she did it again...look below at what my daughter noticed when she got home. And she had on flip flops so there's no reason this gel should look like this. I won't be back. He helped pick out this color and really listened to how picky I am about my nails and demands lol. He talked to me while I was there and was sooooo gentle with me . As a nurse I like natural and short and they are straight and super cute ! He even put snow flakes on them and I can't get over how much I love them. I told the nail artist that they were shorter than I expected and my ring finger was slanted. I went in for a Classic Manicure ($13) and Classic Pedicure ($23). They did my manicure while I was getting my pedicure. Overall an uncomfortable experience. I asked them to raise my seat as it was too back, to which she raised it a little and then walked away without checking if that was far enough-which it was not so I sat awkwardly the entire time. They started getting to work for about 10 minutes when I looked over and saw the lady sitting next to me had her chair on for the massaging back. So I tried to work the remote to see if I could turn it on, and wasn't able to. So I asked the manicurist to turn it on, and she did but I could barely feel it because of how they made me sit on the chair so she could work on my hands. Also, when she stepped away to get something, I sat back and still didn't feel anything- it was moving but barely making contact with my back- even with me pressing my back to it. So I'm looking at this chair wondering why it's so weak when I look down and noticed how filthy my seat was it. First, I don't like putting my feet into the basin without the plastic cover on first. But they told me it was fine and go ahead when I told them I wanted to wait, then like 2 seconds later they brought out the plastic cover! So the manicurist is working on my hand, and she hands me a dirty pillow to put over my lap and then an old albeit clean towel to put over the pillow (I know the towel was old bc the tag was discoloured and faded). There was SO much fuzz from the towel that it shedded on my pants. She's cutting my nails and filing my nails over the handrail of the chair so all the shavings are falling on the arm rest and in the seat and on my pants. I'm watching this happen and look down and see a bunch of other shavings in the seat and start thinking how many other people's shavings am I sitting in? So I stop her and drape the hand towel between the pillow and arm rest so all the shavings can go on the towel and stop dropping down. She seemed to like this idea because she smiled when I did it and then continued. Well when she got to my other hand, what does she do?? She takes that same towel that has all the shavings and FLIPS IT! Dropping ALL THE SHAVINGS/NAILS on to me, my pants, the seat and over that pillow they had me hold - completely defeating the purpose of using the towel to catch everything. It was such a cringe moment. Yes they were my shavings but just the idea of it being dumped back on me was unsettling. She smiled when she flipped it over totally thinking she was doing a good thing. But it would have been better to use a fresh towel, or shake the shavings off on the side of the chair, or just continuing without even messing with the towel. The manicure itself was really subpar. She didn't cut all my cuticles and left my nails scratched. She didn't ask if I was satisfied and was about to walk away but I was looking at my nails with a displeased look so then she asked if there was a problem and I said um... can you buff them? And I wish I didn't because she didn't do it properly and now my nails are scratched all over (see pic). They're not smooth and buffed at all! She gave me an arm and hand massage but it was the most awkward massage I've ever received. She was literally karate chopping me with her hands pressed together like a prayer and just hitting me all down my arms, barely giving me a massage. It was not enjoyable and actually hurt. The pedicure was also meh, the massage was basically nonexistent. But they're toenails so whatever. Annnnnnnd guess how long i was in there from start to finish.... 30-40 minutes. For BOTH the manicure and pedicure. It was like an express nail shop. The last time I got a manicure and pedicure at the same time, it lasted over 60 minutes. That should tell you how diligent they were. So this is a great place to go to if you're in a rush! I did not color my nails because I like to see how they do with my nails without covering it up with color, and the people around me did seem to enjoy their color jobs so I can't comment on their ability to apply color. Overall, I do not see myself returning to this place of business due to poor quality of service and cleanliness. The massage and feeling of comfort is important to me in getting the luxury of splurging on my nails, and Shimmer did not deliver. read more

Today was the 2nd time I made an appointment and had to wait more than 30 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. If your business is not going to honor appointment times, then do not take appointments. I made my appointments at specific times more than 1 week in advance because I have child care at that time. I am on a schedule and am expected to be in certain places at certain times and have carved out time to give your business my time and business. This is incredibly unprofessional and make me feel completely unvalued. read more

Service was okay. However, they nickel and dime you so a $35 service (before tip) at most other places ended up costing me $50. It would have been more except I only got "designs" (glitter) on 4 nails. I was charged for "polish removal" which has always been included in the price of a new dip at other places I've gone. This place is near my home and I was excited to find a place nearby. Just a mile away though, I can get great service without having several extra charged added as well. Went here for a mani and pedi for my Grandmas funeral. Not only were they so disorganized, but they refused to listen to what I wanted. My nails looked cracked, clouds, feet looked so awful. Nails worse. They had to try to fix them twice. I was already so emotional for having to lay my grandmother to rest, that this made it so much worse. Wow. I am so glad I was able to find this nail salon by my house, It is only 6 minutes away from my house! My first time coming, I was greeted and sat down immediately. I did a little research beforehand and noticed Tim got a lot of good reviews so I requested him. He was super nice and asked me if I liked them throughout the whole service. It made me happy that he kept confirming with me because a lot of nail techs don't LISTEN to the client. My nails came out flawless, I will definitely be back for some more nails. :) If you're extremely picky with your nails like I am I recommend you ask for either Tim or Bryan, but everyone's work is awesome here. read more

Went to get a pedicure today and got gel as well. First I asked for the $30 pedicure and the lady insisted that I got the $40 pedicure and she was very forceful about it. Although the pedicure itself was very good, the lady did a horrible job at clipping my nails. I guess it's partially my fault bc I didn't say anything but how did she think this looked good! Don't let the building intimate you, just walk in!! It was my first time here and Instantly, I was greeted with a smile by a gentleman! Everybody was so friendly, and very accommodating to what I needed done. I had a full set that I needed to remove, and Sammi took her time to drill and soak. My nails did not hurt, the process was long, but very necessary and not rushed at all. She shaped my natural nails the way I asked, and even applied an extra layer of polish to accommodate for the light color that I picked out. Very accommodating, throughout the whole process even when I kept changing things last minute (thank you Sammi for being so patient with me!) the price was very reasonable for the removal, gel manicure, and gel on my toes (around $60). The Spa was very clean, and a reasonable amount of color options to choose from. I peep the other nail technicians work for- longer more creative nails and they 'understood the assignment' !! 10/10 recommend, can't wait to bring in my mom with me next time! read more

So, it was okay.. but the tech did a half ass job. The bottom of my feet were still kind of rough.. also, I've gotten a lot of pedis and it seemed like this man was tired by the time he got to me.. I went to shimmer nails to get a pedicure and now 1 and 1/2 weeks later and I have a toe infection. I am not the only person this has happened to obviously because I have had several other people say the same thing. Shimmer nails you need to either clean your products or shut down because it's no reason I should have a toe infection when any other time i have come i have had no issue.
