I am such a big fan of Jake and recently listened to a podcast in where she talks about striving to provide the best customer experience. Her team failed to live up to that promise. I think it may have been a lack of communication issue. I really do hope that's all it was. I scheduled a make up appointment the day of. I called the location and confirmed date and time. I live an hour away and was looking forward to being glammed up at The Body Labb with a MUA I had heard/seen so many great things about. I arrive to my appointment right on time. I had called ahead to advise them I would be maybe 3 minutes late and the young lady who answered the phone was so polite and said to not worry about it. So there was notification of me still planning on arriving to said appointment. No one greets me and the MUA I booked with had someone in the chair. I assumed maybe that appointment was late and it was about to finish up. I don't know anything about make up so I could not determine if it was half way in or almost done. After 35 minutes of waiting I finally said I was such time appointment and asked the MUA if i had some time to run to the store to grab something to drink. The MUA states yes. I go and purchase the drink only to come back and have the MUA tell me they are feeling ill and cannot take care of me. This is 45 minutes after my scheduled time. The person offered to have the other MUA work on me but that person had a few people there. I felt like if I accepted I would be an inconvenience and I would also be pushing my upcoming plans even more behind. My original person apologized and offered a discount for the next time I book and was very polite. I would've really appreciated a phone call to cancel the appointment if the person was feeling ill. I was there for 50 minutes total with no idea that my appointment would not take place. I could've tried getting in somewhere else. I declined the offer of the other MUA taking care of me because at that point I felt that i would be pushing my plans back even more. When I called to advise them on the probability of being late, I would've appreciated them to tell me that the appointment was canceled due to illness. I would've been understanding of that even if I was already close by. Maybe the MUA didn't relay the message of leaving for the day to the young lady who answered the phone. I hope this never happens to anyone else and this simply was an off day.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this nail salon based on the experience my fiancée had here. She came in for a white French-tip manicure, something she has had done many times at other salons. Normally, her appointments take around two hours because the nail tech actually takes the time to shape the nails, apply the tips properly, smooth everything out, and make sure the finished set is clean and even. Here, the entire appointment took around 40 minutes. It felt extremely rushed from start to finish. During the appointment, she wasn't really able to inspect her nails because both hands were being worked on. Once they finished, she paid and was finally able to get a good look at them. That's when she noticed how poorly they had been done. The surface of several nails is visibly bumpy and uneven instead of having a smooth finish. The French tips are inconsistent from nail to nail, with some thicker, thinner, or uneven compared with the others. On two nails, the added tips don't even look properly blended or attached to the natural nail, leaving a noticeable separation. Overall, the shaping and finish just look rushed and unfinished. What makes it worse is that the manicure was around $95, and that wasn't even including additional services that could justify the price. We have paid similar prices--and even $120+--at other salons and received significantly better quality, attention to detail, and overall service. We decided to give this place a chance, but unfortunately, it was not worth the money. My fiancée left genuinely upset with how her nails turned out, especially considering what she paid. If you've never had your nails professionally done or you aren't very particular about the details, you might be satisfied here. But if you regularly get manicures and care about clean shaping, smooth application, symmetrical French tips, proper blending, and attention to detail, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. For roughly the same amount of money, there are salons that will actually take their time and give you a polished, professional-looking set. Even a quick IG Nail Tech search would do better. Very basic work, rushed service, and unfortunately a poor result for the price. We won't be returning. I'm a bit upset with myself for swaying her to try this place. Fellas, don't bring your partners here. read more
