I've always had a good experience here. The staff is well-trained and never is there a long wait. My nails are done perfectly

Multiple times i let the person serving me know that i wanted my nails cut shorter since they've grown quite a bit. He told me no because of the design i requested, it would look better long. I told him more than three times i wanted short because i need to be able to lift weights. Instead of arguing with him, i waited for the person who would actually do my nails to request again. She made it seem like cutting shorter was a huge problem, so i told her repeatedly that i didn't want long. After they got started on my service, they then let me know that the color i requested was no longer available. And what really made for an even more unpleasant experience is getting burnt by a hot stone and the owner gentleman telling me i get what i pay for. I ended my service once my nails were done, before my pedicure was complete. I could no longer tolerate being talked about, receiving poor service, or a service i did not want to pay for. The tech never asked me what i wanted, if the color i settled with worked. She was a young, entitled person with an attitude as if I MUST do what she wants. Although i did not receive color on my toes, and the service was incomplete, they still required me to pay. I do NOT recommend this location AT ALL. The owner multitasks too much and does not focus on his clients. If you are a returning client, great that you found value to continue to patronage. However i will not return. They made me feel judged. I literally collected my belongings, said i did not want to cause a scene, and that it was fine. Quality is usually consistent but twice I've come here & they've caused pain multiple times during a session. Two of my nail beds are now damaged from the drill tip being used to remove my acrylic overlay. The bottom of my nail at the tip of my finger was scratched with a buff file. The technician commented that the person who did them before probably made my cuticle area too thin, but I came to Bliss last time as well. I've been a regular customer but they're getting way too heavy handed with their tools! Price has gone up a bit as well it seems. Also wanted to add that I brought my elderly grandmother to get a gel polish change and they charged her $55. I told them "polish change" when we walked in and I suppose they added services once she sat down because she is easily confused. They asked again once I sat in the pedicure chair and I confirmed just a polish change. She was surprised by the total amount. In the past Bliss techs have tried to up charge throughout service which isn't right when it's an elderly person that doesn't know better. read more

I'm very been coming her for over a year and this is the second time in a month that despite having an appointment, they have overbooked my nail lady. My nail lady does a fantastic job. I don't want to settle for second best when I made sure I had booked an appointment. Last time they asked me to wait an hour, this time it was better luck next time, take who we give you. I'm particular because I've worked with others who did not do a great job. This time I drove over a half an hour and this time was the last time. The manager just shrugged as if to say, too bad! Clean place when u walk in. There quick to get you in a chair. Was in and out in 40 min had a mani with gel. The guy did a great job!!! (Didn't get his name) My friend did hers too she got her powder also took about 45 min not too bad and they look flawless. Will recommend. The eyebrow lady did mine so nice on point! I thought it would be clear that if you make an appointment it's because you can't wait. Normaly I do not write reviews but in this case I am. I went in last week for a pedicure to relax. The lady that was doing my pedi kept trying to up charge while working on my feet. This strated to anoy me and I could not relax. When someone s tells you no then let them be and just do what they asked for. On December 30th I came to the salon and asked for a fill with regular polish. I was so pleased with the outcome of my service that I didn't pay much attention to the charge until I arrived home and realized I paid less for a full set, than I did the fill. I went to the salons website to find that the price of the service I received is $25, yet I was charged $40. When I brought this to the attention of the salon I was told that I received gel polish with my fill which is $40. After explaining that I didn't ask for gel polish, the attendant basically told it that it didn't matter and that I would not be getting the $15 I was overcharged back. Nice atomosphere; however, I went for a mani-pedi. my nails were cut unevenly, and from the time you sit down, they dump all this stuff in your lap like 5 color charts to review even though you can't because your hands are in water! My heels were not "shaved" so I left with rough heels and was told they I had dry heels and to use vaseline at night. Cuticles were not smooth and and not removed properly. I felt like I was being rushed. They asked all kinds of questions behind a mask so I couldn't understand what they were talking about (I don't have my nails done often), so I ended up spending $100!!!! I had almost given up hope on finding a nail technician that could do pink fills without leaving crescent lines of nail damage with every fill. I had been everywhere from Southlake, to Midlothian, to Tyler, Texas. I was an impulse walk-in to the then newly opened Bliss with very low expectations. When Henry examined my nails and said, "Yes, I can do this." I laughed and said, "You realize that is what everyone says." He simply looked straight at me and said, "I have a lot of experience." So having exhausted all other options, I followed this new kid on the block to his station. When the process was done and Henry said, "See?" I looked at my nails ... and cried. BLISS NAIL BAR is a bit of a deceiving name for this failed attempt of an establishment. There was nothing blissful about my experience with Holly today. Not only was the work-product comparable to that of a toddler, when I pointed out the problems that were visibly obvious, HOLLY became visibly frustrated. I understand people have bad days and little slip-ups and at times may need to make corrections to the service for which I have paid. Apparently that isnt how things work at BLISS NAIL BAR. HOLLY went as far as blaming me for the polish on my hands, bubbles in the gel, and uneven coats. I went in needing a gel manicure. I came out needing remover, bandaides (Did I mention there was blood?), a refund, an hour(ish) of my life back, AND gel manicure. The complete disregard to the standard of work and condescending behavior of the technician (using term very loosely) is why my nails and my money will never go back. read more

Do not go to this nail shop! The gel they use peels off the very next day. No one in the nail shop know how to shape or paint your nails. You walk out with your nails looking like you did them yourself. Very elementary like. They charge extremely way to much, especially considering they are not at the level of most professional techs. Pleasant salon with furnishings on par with most salons. Had pedicure only today with no polish. Service was good and efficient. Took care of problem areas without needing to be asked. Called in and was told someone would be available in 20 mins so I come in later to accommodate. So here I am sitting in a dry foot tub for 45 minutes watching others getting serviced before me. Granted one was an older woman so I understand. All I wanted was gel manicure and pedicure. I am highly disappointed in the wait. However, the service was absolutely wonderful. Terrible service and over priced . They purposely have OLD nail polishes with very few selections to force you to get powder or gel. Also if you get the regular set with polish, there is no where for you to dry them. I was literally told okay you're done be careful they are still wet..... glue was still under my nail and hand.
