Mediocre work by owner/stylist. If you simply MUST use this salon, suggest you book with Rachel who is still there. Ad picture is very deceiving. I've seen no more than 3 stylists but the norm is only 2. That should tell you alot. If you are a Texas Conservative, be aware that your rights will be trampled on and the reason I found a better salon. Don't like like having things done to my hair that I didn't ask for. This was done during a routine trim without my knowledge nor my consent. Be advised. There are much better salons out there, believe me. By the way, this salon has changed hands.it is NOT owned by the same person (Michelle) who got all the rave reviews. New owner must have worked there as she is pictured in the group shot which is really false. Not many customers at all. The best salon there is! I drive from Canton to Cedar Hill (an hour and 15 mins), every 6 weeks, just to get my hair done! There are many salons and stylists between here and there but none that can even compare to this one! Amber has been doing my hair for last 19 years!! I've tried one other friend in that time (who is highly sought after). She did a good job but I still found myself making that drive back to Cedar Hill for the BEST!! I recently happened on this salon while searching for a new stylist. Rachel set my appointment for a quick in-&-out as I requested. She was very kind when I somehow missed my appointment time. She wasn't willing to encroach on the following client's time (which impressed me), but very graciously worked me in during development times. I've been pleased with the initial cut & style as well as suggestions she gave me. The cut was obviously done right based on how easily I was able to reproduce the style at home. Rachel gets my highest recommendation & I'm looking forward to going back. I found her to be a very pleasant person, both helpful & kind. The salon is neat & clean. Samantha E. is wonderful. I've been getting my hair cut by her for 6+ years. Even after being out of the area for awhile, when I came back she remembered me and my preferences. Laid back local salon. The only reason it does not get 5 stars is for the decor and the receptionist. The decor is dated, not retro, just old. Plus, the phone staff and front desk staff could be more friendly. This is a service industry, I expect to be well taken care of, not be felt like I'm a bother. However, I still can't say enough good things about Samantha. Love this place!! They are very welcoming and have many stylists to choose from. My favorite is Codie Chrietzberg! I tell her what I want and bam!, she does it. I went to Spilt Endings two weeks ago Thursday the manager cut my hair I believe it was Michelle. She seemed so knowledgeable she put toner on said it would last it washed out the first wash. I went to get back trimmed where it was already not cut right. She told me her work was guaranteed I felt really comfortable with her, and that was a mistake. I said barely trim bangs! Well two weeks they still haven't grown out my rounded haircut gone side were cut told her not to cut sides. Now my back is longer than the sides she took out so much hair it looks as though I have none now you can't put hair back on. I can't even style it all it will do is lay straight! I knew it felt like I had no hair when I left for I went out praying I was wrong but the worst Haircut in my 70 years on this earth! I just cried! read more

Codie is phenomenal! I have been going to her for several years, and I will be going to her for several more. If I was just rating her, I would give her 5 stars. The atmosphere is nice. It isn't a snobby, upscale salon. It has a very relaxed atmosphere, and I always feel like I'm just "hanging out with the girls" when I'm getting my hair done. I do wish that they offered pedicures or glasses of wine while getting your hair done. That would earn five stars from me! read more

Went in on Saturday for my first ever appointment with them. I had long hair that I wanted gone. I asked for a chin-length bob, stacked in the back. And I was not disappointed. Deanna did an amazing job! Even though I had so much hair and this was a pretty big cut, she took her time and didn't rush at all. I am so relieved and I'm LOVING my new style. I am very picky when it comes to my hair, so after a few years of trying to find the right fit for me, I found Split Endings Salon, and have been going every 4 weeks since. Amber has been my same Stylist every time because of the amazing job she does with my hair. When I first went to Split Endings, after a very bad experience at another salon, my hair was ruined every way possible. Amber listened to what I wanted to achieve and today after a lot of hard work, my hair is finally healthy, long and blonde. I have come to love this salon, Amber and love the people and atmosphere. I had a really positive experience here. I had never been but saw they had good reviews so I gave it a go. I saw Rachel and she was more than friendly! I actually really enjoyed her personality. I just had a trim done and it was just like I wanted it. The only thing I wasn't too excited about was one product in my hair was a little too grape smelling. I have seen Codie a few times now, and was recommended to her by a friend. I had gone to a few other stylists before her, I always left extremely unhappy and disappointed. After seeing her for the first time I left the salon and did not want to change ONE thing about my hair, she did a phenomenal job! She is absolutely amazing! I went in wanting an ombre and left getting a Balayage which she recommended would be best for my hair color and it came out SOOO much better than I could have ever imagined, or wanted for that matter. Best haircut ever! I just went to Split Endings for the first time yesterday and it was great. My stylist was Lauren and she really took good care of me and made sure I liked it several steps along the way (I wanted to get a whole new look). Prices are really reasonable (almost half of where I used to go but more than the cheap places that don't even dry your hair). I have thick hair so it took about an hour but it was well worth my time. I will not be going anywhere else! read more
