Botched hair cut. Fast & friendly, but horrible expertise in women's hair cuts. I've been twice because I needed a quick trim - tried two different ladies- and it was worse the second time. Cut WAY shorter than asked and left with random layers and holes in my haircut. :( will NOT go back. read more

Terrible! While i was getting my hair done by my usual lady another worker, Sam, was being completely unpleasant towards a mom. Sam was mocking a woman for not speaking proper English, while the daughter of the lady was translating. This is completely unprofessional, my heart goes out to the lady. read more

I love this place. Sam is amazing. I've been going here for over 10 years now, and will never change. If you know then you know. Great price and great people. Idk what the bad reviews are talking about. Have never ever have any bad experiences here. The energy matches mine. read more

do not go here! they chopped my daughters off and didn't care. they overcharged my card! i'm saying to save another heartbreak. i went here because of the good reviews but no, run from this place. read more

I thought my ex-wife was the most combative person on the planet until I had the misfortune to walk into this place. When I read other reviews talking about how rude she was, I was not shocked. The lady with the longer hair (might be the owner, not sure) is one of the rudest, most hostile people I have ever been cursed to encounter. They actually did a decent job on my hair but the way she speaks to people is baffling. She argued with me the first time, telling me they could not give me the hairstyle I wanted. Which is fine, I don't doubt her--but it's the WAY she says it. When I came back the second time, she sees me and says "Ugh! You're THAT guy." As if I was the one who had been difficult! How can anyone be that completely out of touch with their own behavior? I've seen reviews a few years old that say she was rude and she apparently sees no reason to change. She told me "If you want to go across the street you're welcome to do so, they can't do it, either." read more

This place is amazing , its like having your hair done by family. I've been going to this salon for 15 years. My hair was in bad shape when I went to Sam. She worked her magic, and my hair started to grow. I finally had healthy hair. The customer service is impeccable, you get in and out fast looking fabulous! I highly recommend it! 20 read more

I do not recommend this salon. the manager was rude towards us and she she told us to never come back just because one of us told her that we were paying for our sons hair but she said that our son said to cut it like that. even though we were the ones paying for it. I would rate 0 stars if I could read more

WOW, Rude employees!! They wanted to close early on a Saturday and locked us out! It seems like Customer Service is a lost art. People are so entitled. Very disappointing, I guess they don't need the money. read more

Red Oak Salon is great place for your hair! I came to see Samantha for a trim & she did AWESOME! She is the sweetest stylist ever!! From hair cut, hair due, highlights, hair color, & hair products, once you come here, you would not go anywhere else. Overall, very friendly, very stylist, & great results. Highly recommended! P.S. I love my hair & you will too! :D read more

Awesome place!! I'm blown away at the owner's skill and knowledge. Her name is Samantha. She told me that they have been opened for 8 years and I can see why. I've been to many salons and I'm rarely happy with my cuts. The other salons always tell me it's because of my uneven head shape.. or my hair is too thick.. :(. When I came to see Samantha, she told me that even if I have an uneven skull, a hairdresser should still be able to cut it to where my hair is even. That makes so much sense. Thank god I found Red Oak Salon. I've been going here for over half a year now. Oh, they also wax eyebrows too. I would definitely recommend this to all my friends and family. read more

See all

I did not have a positive experience. It had been awhile since I went to her. She spent time telling me your hair doesn't have color underneath. How much did you pay for this to which I should have replied none of your business but I told her and it happened to be half as much. She then said well I guess you get what you pay for. Your hair looked good when you came to me. Very unprofessional and rude! Not the way to get a customer back! read more

Hmm...I'm new to the area and decided to call for an estimate of price rage for hair dye and highlights and was told 'we can't tell you that'. Umm...ok...I've never heard of anyone not telling you their price for services especially for just color and highlights. The usual question is "how long is your hair" or perhaps just a range from this to this. No thanks, sounds shady! read more

Went in for a perm done by Samantha. She was fabulous!! The whole experience was great. The chairs at the hair washing station were by far the most comfortable I have been in, complete with neck rest and foot rest, like a recliner. She was professional and friendly. The perm turned out exactly as I wanted. Will definitely go back. read more

Great cut. Terrific service. Relaxed atmosphere. They got me in and out quickly so I could make my meeting on time.

I went around Thanksgiving week to get a trim and color. My hair was pretty damaged and I had this brassy color going on. Even though the salon was packed, Sam managed to squeeze me in. Will definitely schedule an appointment next time. I kind of just gave her a general idea of what I wanted and allowed her to just take the reigns. My cut came out perfect and I love my hair color. My hair now feels so much healthier. Go see Sam, you won't be disappointed! read more

Love the owner Sam! She makes you feel like family. If you go once, you're a customer for a lifetime! Lots of humor in the shop. Just how older men used to talk at the barber shop, everyone joins in conversations here!! read more

Our family of 5 has been going to this salon for years. Sam always does my hair, and she is fantastic. I have had many cuts, highlights, and color and have loved each one. I do not trust anyone else with my hair but her. She does exactly what you ask for, and takes her time with each and every customer. Her prices are very reasonable. I would recommend her and this salon to everyone. read more

Fast and pro service. I REALLY liked my cut the first time by the older lady. However, my second time my hair was left completely opposite of what I asked by the younger lady. Haven't been since. read more

Sam knows just how I like my hair cut. I've been going there long enough that we have created a great friendship. She is very professional and this is the only place I go! read more

Samantha is AWESOME!!!! She did my highlights and a hair cut, I literally had tears in my eyes when she was done! I have not had highlights like these in a few years. Samantha is very knowledgeable and straight forward about what will work with your hair type and features. I have recommended several friends and family members who were very please as well. I highly recommend Red Oak Salon:) read more

This place seems like a joke. When I attempted to get my boys haircut on a Weekday morning I was told "Samantha won't be back for about 30 minutes." She could tell I was confused and explained that the only other person there can't cut hair. What???? What's the point in being open??? read more
