The location was easy to find. The lady was nice and haircut was done super quickly. I recommend this place if your in the area.

This was my first time to visit the Blue Moon Salon. I found a great deal on Groupon. I was struck by how friendly everyone was. Stylists were having conversations with clients like they were all old friends. I was the newbie but everyone was great. Terribly disappointed. I needed to find a new salon so I picked Blue Moon because they are close to me. When I went in my appointment was late and I had to wait which doesn't amuse me - but the real problem is my hair. Since it was my first time there I explained to the stylist (whose name was Torrie) how I wanted my hair cut. I was VERY specific about how it was imperative that my cut be kept soft and in NO way butch. I have to keep my hair short and it's very easy to look too masculine if the stylist doesn't know what they are doing. By the time she was done I looked like I am ready for military service. On most of my head the hair is barely an inch long, and it is shorter on the sides than it is on the top. The area near my ears is different lengths on either side of my head and she also squared off my bangs instead of cutting them where they could sweep gently to the side. I look ridiculous and I just want to cry. There is no way to fix this mess. I don't know how I am going to face my clients looking this way. read more

I love this salon it's a step above the rest! I had a fabulous hair cut and ombré the first time I went here, it was beautiful after my ombré grew out I decided to switch it up and get high lights, Candice is my stylist she always does a excellent job she blended my highlights in the ombré soooo well they look amazing I love her work!!!! Let me first say, everyone was extremely happy. It was like a gaggle of Barbie dolls at prom. So, I found this place on Groupon and decided to go since it was nearby. I arrived on time and waited 15 minutes while they discussed who had enough time to take care of one of us three ladies waiting. They said they would do me, even though two others were there first. I gave her my picture and she went to work. I asked her to cut off the hair just in front of my ears, but she cut off all the hair around my ears, even in the back. It sticks out funny now. I asked her to shave the sides and back with a 5, but she said I wouldn't like it. I always do it like that and I like it. Instead, she used scissors and I now have uneven patches. I asked her not to blow dry my hair since it's curly and would make an afro. She told me she could handle it and proceeded anyway. I had an afro. She wet my hair and started over, but gave me a flat top instead of a fauxhawk. She asked her boss for advice to fix it, and fixed it. Her boobs kept touching my face, too. She put me in the air dryer, but turned it on high and set it all the way down over my head. I had little hair to protect my scalp from burning, and those aren't supposed to cover your face. I tried to get out but was trapped. A couple girls saw but didn't help. She finally came back and turned it down, but didn't raise it off my head. This place is about 10 mins from my home and I have tried it on 3 separate occasions and have been terribly disappointed each time. Not only did I feel very unwelcome but the staff seemed very unfriendly. All I wanted the last time I went in was a trim and some layers to give my hair a little volume but the woman who cut my hair was too busy talking to the other ladies cutting another client's hair to even bother with what I wanted. She snipped here and there for a grand total of 5 mins and said she was done. My hair looked exactly the same and I could've cut off what she did myself. I asked if she could cut off a little more because I had some split ends I wanted to get rid of and she did the exact same thing as before. My boyfriend was waiting for me and was shocked at how fast she had finished. It was a horrible experience and have never felt so uncomfortable in a salon business that should be welcoming and friendly. I do not recommend it to anyone especially if you are looking for something new. read more
