I was told what hair to buy and went to purchase what I thought was the correct type of hair. When I got to the shop, I was told I needed different hair for Senegalese, but that the style could be done. I took the suggestion and decided on box braids instead. I was nervous because the ladies were asking me how I wanted the colors and said they didn't match well. But, I tried my best to explain the colors (red in back, blonde towards the front/top and the brown to blend it in) and then told them to do it however they wanted to make it blend well. I just wanted it to be bold... and tada!!! Love my braids and everyone has been complimenting me on them. They are heavy (as expected), but not too tight! No headaches and no loosening req'd. Thank you, ladies for these long, thick braids... they really put in a lot of work and time and stayed later to finish!!! I will definitely be back. We were off to a rough start when they called to ask us to come in fifteen minutes early at noon so we could have a longer consult time. We showed up early, but they didn't actually get to us until after 12:15 because they were working on other clients. Halle asked us about the colors we wanted and then they sent a girl to go buy our color. That was probably the second cue to leave. They didn't actually start on use until 12:40. So we spent 5 full hours there :( I suspected the color wasn't going to be as rich since the rinse, shampoo and conditioning was all done with hot water and there was nothing placed on the hair to seal it. I do wish that someone would have said something then about the blue only being on the bottom two inches of my hair, or the the fact that it was blue and not purple. Halle did my blow dry and when it was all done she turned me to the mirror and explain how it didn't "take". No options given for how to make it better... just a whole lot of explanation. After Halle left for the day, Caitlin did offer have us, because by this time she was to the point where my nieces splotchiness was visible, come back next weekend for a fix. The place was so cute, they do offer drinks and as long as you aren't going to fashion colors- the hair I saw in there looked great. Or take notice of the yelper that did get hers done correctly and ask for Kim. I am getting mine fixed next week somewhere else.
