Not sanitary! As I sat with my feet in the water for my pedicure the water began to fill to the top of the pedicure bowl. Ruby quickly grabbed a bucket and began getting the water out. She used a bucket due to the plastic lining already being in place. The problem is THIS IS THE SAME BUCKET USED TO GET EVERYONES water out the pedicure bowl. When you take a bucket from one bowl to another while there's a persons feet in it, IS NASTY! Don't dip a bucket in my water that has been in someone else's dirty feet water even if it's just to remove water. Because I asked for clean water she told me she no longer wanted me as a customer. This place is unsanitary and doesn't understand the meaning of germs and how they spread. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!

I want to warn others still patronizing this nail salon U NEED NAILS because this went beyond a customer service issue. On Saturday, I planned to go get my nails done and a pedicure. I had made an appointment days in advance due to the New Year holiday. I checked my calendar to look at my appointment time. It was on there twice so I was confused so I thought I'd give the salon courtesy call. I told them that I had an some appointment but I wasn't sure if it started at 4:00 or 5:00. (It was 4:02). The front desk manager replied it's at 4:00 I immediately apologized and said oh wow I had it totally wrong in my calendar. I told him I could be on the way and be there within 10 minutes. He told me that if I wasn't there 7 minutes after my scheduled time that they automatically canceled. I told him there was no possible way I could be there at in 7 minutes but 10 is the best I could do. He said OK I'll see you in 10 minutes. I raced to put on my shoes looked at the clock and reasoned with myself and said I don't want to put myself in a racing situation so I called the salon back and said hey I'm going to go ahead and pass on this appt bc I'm not going to be able to make it unless you want to put me in your next available spot. He said the nail tech didn't have any more spots. I said ok that's fine... He said he would put a walk-in in my place which was cool. I told him that I had a pedicure scheduled next so I was still going to be in route and I would get with whoever was available for my nails later once I got there. He told me No! Your 5:00 appointment has been canceled as well! I said why? He said if you can't come to one appointment you can't come to any of them & that's policy. I said when has it ever been policy I have been a loyal customer for 7 years coming about every 2 weeks and this is never been a policy that I've seen or heard about. He said well it is and your canceled. I replied you can't cancel me just like that. The appts are unrelated with 2 different techs. He continued to talk down to me as if I was a child even after my courtesy calls. I told him that if he felt so strongly about canceling my BOTH my appointments because I was a few minutes late not to expect me to be a customer any longer. The manager immediately started Singing on the phone "That's fine with me" . I was shocked... how immature...it was like he was taunting me and belittling me...and I called him a ass and hung up. It was hard enough to get the appointments around the holiday and I was still willing to show up after my calendar mistake. I wanted to see these written policies & demeanor in person, besides the techs shouldn't be financially punished on account of his behavior so I gathered myself and showed up for my existing appt at 5:00 about 40 min later. I walked in as normal & quietly signed in the appt book. Our interactions have been by phone but as soon as he saw me standing there he rushed from the back of the store and said can I help you I said yes I'm here for my appt in a regular voice. He stared at me & said are you Amber? I said yes I am. He said what are you doing here!! I canceled you! I said calmly I had an appt scheduled today and I'm here for it. He said I canceled you because you yelled at me on the phone. I told him that's not why you canceled me, I didn't yell at you... and you sung to me on the phone that you didn't care about me being a customer. He started yelling you need to leave and said he was calling the police. My nail tech came to the front standing next to him and she kept her head down as if she was afraid to lose her job if she spoke up. He called the police in front of all of the storefront employees & customers!! He then started describing everything I had on as if I was a criminal. It was so embarrassing and degrading... all because I called him in advance to tell him I was going to be late. Smh... I left because I have kids and I didn't want them to live with the experience of me being arrested. As a community, you're free to choose what businesses you patronize for your services. I am a very level-headed business owner myself. But he sent a very important message that I was disposable and that he would take my "black dollar" for years and carry on with his day and it wasn't about the customer experience. I have referred several customers in the past to this establishment even some coming from Plano that had negative experiences upon their arrival and after nail services were rendered. I know they are not going to return and neither am I. I URGE you to take a stand and not pour your hard-earned money into businesses that don't care and dispect you. This is my go to spot. But do not ever come here if your nail is broken. I came here last Thursday to get my nails done for my sister wedding; my nail broke on Sunday; i came up here Monday to get my nail fixed and this what they gave me. I ask the girl that's fixing my nail, can i get a tip put back on here? No I'm just trying to even it out here. No i came to get it fix. Not to even it out hell i coulda did that at home.

This is the WORST service I've ever experienced. The nail tech cut my ankle not once, but twice when using the scraper on my feet. I told him after the 1st time but he just was not being careful and rushing so it happened twice. My ankle was initially bleeding so much I had him drain the water and stop the rest of that portion of the service and just polish my toes. He kept wiping my ankle and applying this liquid until it eventually stopped(see photos). At the end he quoted me $25, the full price of the service which was completely unacceptable! I tried to explain to the manager why this was a problem and he offered $5 off and a bandaid. To me, this was insulting being that 1. I have paid hundreds of dollars at their establishment and never caused issues or complained. 2. I didn't receive full service because of the blood, pain, sanitary reasons, and fear of making it worse. I tried to reason and inform him that I thought half would be fair and stood firm on the $5. I then left and waited as he called the police on me. He sent an out of uniform officer to scare me and told me I was going to jail. (I was sitting in my car waiting on uniformed officers). When they came he said we would need to work this out, which was fine. He came outside and not only refused to allow me to speak and talked over me he took the price back up to $25 and had officers put me on some criminal trespassing list ALL BECAUSE THEY MESSED UP and weren't being reasonable. This manager was rude, unprofessional, and does not value customers. He believes he is better than us and had ZERO respect for us as paying customers. I am disgusted and everyone deserves to know about my experience.

not sure what happened to my prior review i posted, nonetheless, here goes one from today. RELAXING is one way to start describing this spot. my wife and I have definitely found our new to go shop for our pedicures. I didn't used to be to fond of getting my toe nails done, but I caved and now I can't wait to go again. All due in part to U-Need-Nails. I tell you, it is so darn relaxing and so worth the time. Wether with an appointment or walk in, the customer service which i read here was not to well, I ask myself, are you sure you are at the right place?? Because we love the way we are greeted, taken care of, and even at the end we are thanked for coming in. Awesome, Fantastic, Phenomenal! We will be back next month. P.S. Jenny is who takes care of me, she is the sweetest!!

The only reason I can give 1 star is because of Leanne, who does a great job on pedicures for me and my husband. However, the lady at the front desk (short with the white hair) who answers the phone and books appointments is totally rude and disrespectful. She has zero customer service skills and seems to get flustered when she has to answer "too many"phone calls. I called on 3/29/2023 about 11am to make an appointment for me and my husband to come at the same time. When I called back to make a change, she got totally upset & actually started hollering, saying I was "taking up too much of her time." I was shocked she was so impatient and unprofessional. I decided to go to the salon to express my disappointment at her behavior and to ensure she understood what appointment time I asked for. When I brought up the phone call & my appointment, she immediately started hollering again, saying she had "too many phone calls," and I was "taking up too much time." She jumped up and waved me away and said, "just don't come, go!" Now, I'm really appalled because I kept my tone low with a calm voice and stated I was a regular customer and was always respectful and polite to her. She continued screaming saying, "I don't care!" I spoke to Leanne and let her know what happened, but I won't continue giving my business to a place with employees that are rude and nasty. Obviously they do not need or want my business. She seemed to validate the stereotype of how a particular ethic group treats customers from another background. I can't otherwise explain why this lady was this ugly & demeaning. There are many other nail salons that do good work AND have good customer service. Bur come to U Need Nails in Cedar Hill, Texas if you don't care how you're treated. (Perhaps this lady must not want Leanne to have any more customers because she always asks if I want someone else to do my pedicure, whenever I call.)

I'd been here once before but many years ago. A friend recommended I see Tu for my gel manicure and she was great. Super sweet & very detailed. She took her time unlike most nail techs I've seen recently. She asked me for my name at the end which most don't. The place was clean and you can tell they have regulars. When it opened at 9 there some customers already there but not packed until later. I'd recommend this place to anyone & especially Tu.

***FIRST TIME CUSTOMER REVIEW*** My daughter (8 years old) and I walked in the salon a couple of minutes before 5p on a Friday (weekend of July 4th). We were greeted and I asked if Linda was available. This is the salon my BFF goes to and always gets her nails services from Linda. The lady at the desk said she was booked but would double check with her to be sure--OKAY, OKAY good customer service move! Linda was indeed booked so the lady told me that Sonny was available and asked me to have a seat. I did inform her that my daughter would like to have her nails painted as well. We sat down and Sonny asked what type of nails I had and what service I would like. I opted for color acrylic powder and they didn't have the first color I picked so I had to pick again. Sonny started on my nails (acrylic fill). My daughter sat next to me waiting for someone to come over to paint her nails. I asked my tech if someone was coming to help her. He said that he would let the manager know to send someone. A few minutes later she walked by and noticed my daughter still hadn't been helped and shouted out for someone to come paint her nails. At this point, I was more than halfway through with getting my nails finished but another tech finally came over and painted her nails. My daughter's nails came out pretty good but the next day.....less than 24 hours after getting them painted, her paint chipped and the polish came completely off three of her nails. My nails came out very nice! I love the color (#24 color acrylic) and Sonny ensured that he got the shape just right and the way I wanted them. I will definitely return but I will not bring my daughter in for a polish. I will take her back so they can see that the polish came off in less than 24 hours. This place was packed on a Friday late afternoon early evening (4-6) and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking an appointment.

Don't ever go to male nail tech Sunny for service. He is rude and doesn't make customers feel comfortable. I asked questions and he was so rude, told me if I don't like it, get someone else. Walked in for a refill and his chair was empty. Now I see why. Awful customer service read more

This use to be a great place to go to relax and get my nails done. I have been bringing daughter since she was three years old and have referred friends as well. The service I am used to is no longer the same there. When you call to book an appointment, The son is Rude! No Customer Service at all. My nail tech is excellent, Tracy she can be a little over the edge sometimes too but I been coming to her for so long and to the establishment and hate to change, but I guess it is time to make a change if the owner does not do something about the services her son and nail tech provides. I love the owner. She is a great person, and I know if she knew about the service her bad customer service her son offers over the phone, she would correct it immediately. read more

Today's visit was like no other visit. The representative was extremely rude and unprofessional. I specifically asked for Michael and was initially told the wait would be 45 minutes. Both my mom and I agreed to wait, only to be told that Michael did not want to take care of us like he had on many occasions. I'm not sure if had had other appointments, leaving early, or just wasn't taking anyone else. So therefore; you have lost 4 customers that tip in addition to the amount due after service. read more

I am in shock! This place was recommended and the service was hetic harried and delayed. I was ignored until I was called (like lassie) and told to follow a young girl to the back and shown to a chair. The lady who conducted my pedicure was suppose to be "gentle" with application. I have some issues with my feet and due to plates and screws in left foot coupled with a bone spur, my foot is super sensitive. The lady who performed this service does not know the meaning of the word GENTLE! My feet hurt so bad I can hardly stand. I had requested that the toe nails be cut short. ALL MY TOES ARE CUT BELOW THE QUICK AND SOME ARE BLOODY! THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND I WILL NEVER GO INTO THAT PLACE AGAIN. THE LADY WHO DID THIS NEEDS HER VISION CHECKED AND HER NAME IS HANG AND SHE IS ONE OF THE SISTERS NOT SURE IF SHE IS ALSO AN OWNER. You are welcome to to there but beware of this sister! I am so shocked at how this place is run now. I'm not sure if management had changed but I've NEVER run into the issues before that I've had recently. Today was the second time I've been turned away from getting a nail fixed/ replaced within a three month period. I walked in and told a lady that I only needed one nail fixed (after getting a fill a week prior) and she asked me did I remember the name of the lady that did my nails. I did not. She then went to the back to tell someone else (I presume the manager) and she came back to the front to tell me that she was told that bc all technicians were busy and they were closing soon that I would have to return another day to fix my nail. I have been a loyal customer to this nail shop for almost 5 years... I was shocked to hear this! The first time they told me to come back bc they only fix nails on a certain day. Due to my schedule, I wasn't able to come and had to just have a complete set redone. I didn't complain about it bc I usually don't have these issues and I rarely have any complaints about this place. Needless to say I left and don't plan on going back. This is the most unaccommodating business I've ever been to! read more

I made an error of going back to this salon today because my current nail tech has been out of the country for almost a month and I like to get my nails done every week. I made an appt with Kim because as I stated in my previous review, I know that her work is good. She didn't disappoint. My nails are pretty but when I returned to have them fixed due to cracking... The owner, Lynn, confronted me about my review in her usual, rude, uncaring style while in the middle of waxing a patron's brows. She walked off angrily without thanking her current customer ...in fact that customer had to ask her if she was even finished. Not to mention, other salon employees rallied around their ignorant boss as if one shouldn't be able to voice their opinions on a site so people can make informed decisions. Kim fixed my nails and was professional and courteous in spite of her ignorant salon owner and her brown nosing staff. Needless to say, I informed Lynn I will not return to her shop after my nails were fixed and I will never even think about this after this update! read more

Cool little spot..I mean it's a nail shop...Nothing fancy, big, but not fancy. They serve free margaritas, so that's all cool. I would definitely make sure I make an appointment on Friday, I do, if not you will be sitting there mad like the women are when I walk in the door and they get kicked out the charge....cuz I had an APPOINTMENT lol read more

Been going to them since the late 90s. A lot has changed and depending on the service it can be pricey, but one thing never changed: My nails stay on! I have been to other places maybe when I was out of town and the nails haven't held up. My only issue is that lately it has been so packed I can't just walk in anymore unless it is a weekday. But I suppose that just means business is good. read more

I have only been here twice but the service seems consistent and I have not had any problems. I don't get mani's and pedi's often so maybe my opinion is a bit skewed. But I think a relaxing pedicure at $20 with unlimited margaritas is a plus. Not your average watered down rita either, but a very delicious frozen sweet drink that you could get at a local mexi place for $6. I consider that a steal! I don't know about you but I am okay with NO small talk and so far these ladies keep to themselves and tend to your feet with great focus. Took my BF here recently and he loved it too! read more

I will not be returning to this nail Salon ever......thanks to Tammy the technician who was very very rude and obnoxious!!!! She is the lady who walks around very unprofessionally dressed with daisy duke shorts and extreme high heels..Just so you all are aware.. As a customer it's important that we are pleased. She was abrupt, rude and not interested in my request for a certain color polish and brushed me off as if I should settle for what I did not want.. She then went on a "Very loud"screaming rant in front of over 20 clients when I remained adamant about the polish I desired, which was just a simple request. The guy manager in front presented the polish and eventually apologized after I told him to. However the experience was down right displeasing. Very very very Poor customer service skills. Remember @ U need nails there are tons of nail shops in the metroplex.. we don't need you... we pay you.. you don't pay us!! Ladies don't settle for this type of poor service anywhere...It's totally unacceptable read more

I love the staff, one of the owners Lynn is hard core a bout her company but the woman gets this done and takes care of her customers. I have gotten consistently great service here. And tonight I watched a fellow patron treat the staff and manager quite terribly. These are hard working individuals who deal with folks dirty feet and nails, yet they do an amazing job. They are always kind, they are always, respectful and \ they are very detail oriented. I must say that even if they are running behind schedule, they try to be efficient, and are always detail oriented. I was quite disappointed in the lady tonight. Thank you to U-Need Nails - I consistently get great service. I hope this lady reaps the karma she dealt tonight -I for one hope these workers rest well knowing this lady appreciates their work and values their service! read more

My hubby and I tried out this place on a Friday evening based on positive referrals I received from a couple Facebook friends. We both got a deluxe pedicure and were happy with the job both ladies did on our feet....we both had pretty rough feet. My husband was in heaven! The $$ was a little pricey for our liking, but the ladies did well on our feet and the drinks were good. The front staff customer service was minimal, but they were not rude and the ladies that did our feet were friendly. I would go back again every once in awhile. read more

This is the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL establishment that I've ever patronized and today's visit will be my last. The owner runs the business like a SWEATSHOP!! She speaks to the employees & customers as if she is a dictator. I made an appointment for myself & my daughter and still have to wait 45 minutes after arriving for someone to do our nails. This is not the first time this has happened. They overbook consistently.. especially on the weekend. read more

Slow, unprofessional, and rude. I have given them multiple chanced and I'm disappointed everything. My nails be wrong and not painted fully. They let me sit for ever before telling me that no one was doing eye brows after the one lady who does them just finished and she the one said no one was opened them continued to walk around doing nothing. I will never go again and I advice no one else to ever waste there time or money going up there. read more

This place is awful!!! The customer service is horrible and the management is beyond rude!!! I will never spend another cent in this place. This place could care less about the service they give....it's like a factory....get'em in and out!!! I refuse to pay my hard earned money and be treated like crap!! Management really needs to take a lesson in simply giving a damn about the customer...I'm there to give you my money, to be rushed and talked to rudely and disrespectfully??? I don't think so. Very unsatisfied!!!! Prices change ALL the time. Charged $45 for a horrible fill!! All of my nails were different shapes, sizes, and all painted differently (I got the pink and white ombre). When I left my cuticles were so soar and red from him using the file on the wrong part of my nail. Probably because he kept stopping to talk while he was doing my nails.... I think he may have used a thumb nail for my index finger nail...yea that's how bad it was. If you go make sure you know who's doing your nails. WARNING If you're a walk in don't let them send you to the guy in the front named Andre he'll mess you up!!! AND the lady in the front that sits next to him is EXTREMELY rude and even makes insulting comments to customers, I believe her name is Ann! If not it's the lady with the rotten teeth & gums at the bottom of her mouth.... I guess that's why shes so angry lol... I've been coming here a little over a year and my experience with nail techs Tyrone, MeMe is what kept me here for so long.. oh yeah the margarita's too! read more

I have been a customer for a very long time at this nail shop. Lynn and I go back many years and as well with her medical issues. Since, they have opened back up her son has been running the shop. I had a 9:00 appt and was there on time. The door was open which myself and other customers went in. He came to the front and told us to leave because they are not open, he said the door is open for his workers. However, no sign stating to not come in. He was very rude. He came outside and asked if I a had a problem and I asked him where was Lynn to report him. He said she was not there and he's running the show. He actually told me if I had an appointment I could just leave now and never come back and that my appointment was cancelled! I said I will just call Lynn personally and let her know what happened. Other customers have been saying as well that he is very rude and will not come back. I've never had treatment like this until now. In my opinion because it was so many blacks standing outside He's prejudice because he stated because of the Coronavirus this is how it's going to be. Im really hurt by this because of the good relationship I had with them I can never go there because of her son!! So, if you're black and you go there he really doesn't want blacks there. He's probably one of those Chinese people who think Blacks are spreading the virus! I can say spend your money where it's appreciated without Racism! read more

I agree with Raquel about letting success go to ur head. I used to go to u need nails every 2 weeks I always made appointments with Kim. After awhile ever with an appointment I was made to wait 10-15 minutes, I can understand her running late a couple of times but it was starting to be every time in I came in. She didn't even apologize for making me wait, one time she had the nerve to try and make me remove my own polish,lol. Plus she still after 2 years asked me to pay her before even finishing my nails. I will never go back there, they don't treat their regulars like they care or notice u come consistently so GOOD BYE I WILL TAKE MY MONEY ELSEWHERE ! read more

This place is very unprofessional and should be out of business. If I could give zero stars I would. I've been to this place multiple of times mostly for pedicures and twice for a nail soak off. This one specific time that I came for a soak off the nail tech decides to pop my nails off with another fake nail. I told the manager about it and he doesn't do anything about it and approves of this technique. Even though I said this technique messed up my real nail bed and it is called a soak off for a reason not one of my nails were soaked off they were brutally popped off. My real nails were in pain. The manager knew it was the incorrect way because he asked did the nail tech have acetone and I said no. However, he still insisted this was the correct way. They want to get over on people and are just about money. Customer service is horrible!! They told me to leave instead of doing the soak off correctly. Which is fine because I didn't want them touching anything else. For one its unsanitary in there, the nail tech was taking off my nails with dirt under his own and with a dried up blood on his finger from a scratch. Previous times before this situation the manager always had a bad attitude and doesn't handle anything professionally. So if you decide to go then go at your own risk. I'm am a long time customer and truly enjoy my visit each and every time I come. The only reason I'm posting this review is because I was dismayed to see that they are now serving our drinks in plastic throw away cups instead of the classy glasses that they used to serve our drinks in. Using plastic cups in my opinion takes away from the ambience...such a small courtesy but definitely makes a difference. Please consider bringing back. Otherwise no other concerns. #Lisa read more

I am a hairstylist and I know what to look for in sanitation and they are right on being where they need to be with cleanliness. I have used Stephanie twice now and she's amazing! This is my one and only go to shop. I've been going to this shop for years. They were a small little shop when I started going there about 10 years ago. They expanded to a larger elegant shop. I went into you U-Need Nails yesterday and I had my heart set on these nails I wanted from the internet for New Years. I set my appointment with Tu because she is great at what she does and I also wanted my nails to look exactly how they looked on the picture. I showed Tu the picture and she said that they were special nails and they were going to cost $55. She said, "I don't want you to spend your money on something expensive." So she said she could do my nails similar to the picture and it was going to cost $35 & I said fine. When she finished them I was in love, they looked even better the the photo on the internet! I was so extremely happy and satisfied. She then tells me that it was her first time ever doing these nails and that it required special technique. She is so amazing at everything she does and she is very detailed. She also cares about you as a person, she doesn't focus on the money. read more

This place is HORRIBLE. I went in on yesterday to have my nails fixed. I had a chrome overlay and it was chipping and coming off within a few days. The "owner" was very rude and had horrible customer service. He is a young Asian male and his attitude was unfathomable. I told him MiMi did my nails, and that I was not upset since she admitted it was her first time doing chrome. She assured me if they did mess up I could come back and have it fixed. That is all I wanted. The owner WAS VERY CONDESENDING. He questioned me several times about the terminology in which I was using. MiMi called it a NextGen fill, and he said it was acrylic fill...it got to the point where he began to upset me since we were going back and forth about a simple name. It was clear his true issue was that he did not appreciate me not being satisfied. He stood up and began yelling and told me to leave. I said I needed my complaint addressed and I would call the police. He was very rude. I do not understand why anyone thinks that they can make a living off of CUSTOMERS paying their bills and treat people so mean. He is a piece of work. MiMi is a sweetheart and I texted her about it. She is willing to do my nails from another location which was very nice. She apologized for him, but at this point there is nothing she can do to excuse his behavior. It honestly made me very emotional. I have never been treated so poorly. He actually said that he hates dealing with "my people", and I am Black fyi. He said so much and I just listened to him, he even gave me "the hand!" The police came and he said he did not want me to come back. I will still do what I can to make sure everyone knows about his poor treatment. I am serious, there are so many nail salons in the Cedar Hill area that customers can go to. I hope everyone realizes that you do not have to be mistreated. Do not continue to pay his mortgage and car notes, when he does not deserve you guys' loyalty. read more

i got my eyebrows done here by Cathy and she did an AMAZING job. the place was very clean and looked nice so i figured i would try them out with my nails. i went on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 around 7:15-7:30 pm. i was placed with someone who looked like she was new which isn't a problem when you know what you're doing and take your time. she rushed my nails and asked me to pay before she finished. once she was done she told me to move then left. the last customer of the day should get the same experience and service as the first. it is more Monday, March 26, 2018 and two of my dipped nails have just fell off. i don't do any hard labor anything with my hands much. she told me dipped would last 3 weeks usually but i guess she meant when they are done correctly and not rushed. mind you, my dipped set was on my real nails which are short. never again. will only be going here for Cathy and my eyebrows. she doesn't rush and she converses. read more

Huge mistake! When I walked in there was only one customer. That should have been the first red flag. All employees were lounging on furniture and engrossed in their cell phones. No problem. There was a weak attempt at a greeting before she asked what I needed. I sit down where she tells me and immediately in my face noticed a plastic divider that between me and the nail tech which would remind you of what we used more during Covid. Not only did we have that going on but they put an 8x10 paper of their services smack dab in the middle so you could not see her or your nails being done. Never ever in my life have I been to any nail shop that does this. That should have made it clear that they are on some different customer experience tip. Second huge red flag. She starts on my nails and never measured the length of the two new tips against the other two on the other hand which means she would have uneven nail lengths from one hand to the other. Her touch was aggressive. I started to feel hate coming from the other side of the table. It was weird, insanely uncomfortable, and it made me feel unsafe to be so unwelcome for no reason. She would work on my hand then throw it back at me when ready for the next hand. She did ask me if my nails were ok from time to time and I would tell her what to fix and there would be attitude through her body language as though I inconvenienced her. I was asking about the middle finger nail on my right hand because the nail was longer than I should have it for work, but she never filed it down right and the shapes of my nails go from almond to oval to stiletto depending on which finger you look at. I had enough of her unwelcoming behavior and low quality nail job. I wanted to get out of there before I said something that would lower my behavior to her level. I did not care to match energy but get as far away from this business as possible. Not certain if she is part of America that gets caught up in court cases associated with boycotts, but that may have been the very reason this business had no customers. I would NEVER give this business a second chance and my co-workers noticed the defects in my nails especially where she did not paint the sides of the nails, the different shapes, and the awful length differences. Zero quality. Unfriendly and hostile service, it guess who was first to the register? That is the only $55 this business would ever receive from me. The lady didn't like me from the beginning and I had no bad interaction with her until I was able to have both of my hands available for the last inspection. I told her I would never come back, expect a real candid review, and that she needs to have someone else start reviewing her work for quality after filing and shaping and before any final costs are applied, and I would not and could not tip her. I have to go to another business and nail tech and spend double to have this nightmarish job overhauled. I am so disappointed that employees treat good consumers like this. Spread the word! Do not ever visit this establishment. If the employees or owners do not like the community they serve relocate to where you do care about the community. I asked a young girl skipping toward us if my nails were even and the lady spoke in her native tongue likely commanding her to ignore me or lie, so the girl said "Yes," but would not dare look at me. As I leave the girl (not the woman but the girl appears to be related to someone at the shop) hops into a big body Lexus and takes off. Lexus is known to be a good car. Imagine if they charged her full price for a lemon (the Lexus). They would understand where consumers are coming from more of it hit them in their pockets. Gel already chipping day one, uneven nail lengths, inconsistent shaped nails on the SAME hand, paint missing on the sides of nails, and I am FORCED to get this shotty, unprofessional-looking work corrected. She wanted my time and my money. I would never treat people like this especially if I still charge you full price. I should not have to tell you how to do a basic nail job. These look like a child helped her. Let's stop giving money to those that treat us like we are less!

The tech who did my services originally, apologized, and mentioned that she's working with Veronica to make sure whatever happened before, doesn't happen again. My previous review stated I wouldn't give this business any more money, a statement which I now HEAVILY retract. I would 100% return here because if something were to go wrong, I know they would bend over backwards to fix the problem and make sure I'm satisfied as a customer. On top of that, my feet started itching immediately after leaving the chair, which has never happened to me at a salon before. Unprofessional, rude, and careless. They didn't deserve a dollar of my money. I won't be back, and I don't recommend anyone waste their time here.

This is so they are able to charge if you are late or a no show. I was told by them that they expect clients to be accountable as they are, so I went along with it because I understood. They will charge me if I am late but give 15% off if they are late as well. First appt was ok but they were late. I had to wait about 15 or 20 min. The appt for hard gel I had took 3 hours! Yet I was ok. I was trusting them and the process. I made my next 2 appts at that time. The second visit took just as long if not longer. I had plans but was not able to keep them as they were because the appt took so long. I never got the chance to go to the third appt which I made two months prior and had planned right before a vacation. They sent a text the day before asking if it was ok to move my appt to a new tine. I declined because again I had plans for that day. They then sent multiple confusing texts asking me to change my appt time which I didn't understand when they originally asked and I declined. They finally called and confirmed my original appt. They then sent a text on the day of my appt two hours before to say the tech had the flu and they would have to reschedule me and gave me 5 or so random appt choices during the morning hours as if I don't work. So very unprofessional. If you value your time do not waste it on this establishment. I overlooked the contract, the high prices and the long timeframe for the service but I will not compromise on how I am treated. I've been a customer for about 18 months now. I absolutely love it and wouldn't go to another nail salon. My appointments are every 4-6 weeks like clockwork with my favorite nail techs. My techs are never running behind. Getting in and out within the allotted time is extremely important with my busy schedule. I wear solar nails and have gone as long as 2 months with them looking fabulous the entire time. There's only been 1 time that I wasn't happy with my pedicure. My usual pedicure tech was out and I allowed another tech to perform my pedicure. I didn't get upset or throw a fit or threaten to not pay. I asked the gentleman (who appeared to be a novice) to correct his mistakes and made a mental note to not allow him to do my pedicures again. Overall, I have a wonderful experience every time I go to U Need Nails. The free margaritas taste great and are an added bonus. ;-) read more

This place is a travesty! How do you call yourself a place of business and berate your clientele? Please find yourself another place to have your nails done. I will personally find a traveling nail tech or go to YouTube University on "How to do my own nails" before I EVER set foot in this establishment! My family has a been coming to this wonderful salon for many many years. I grew up at this place. Although I no longer live in the area, I make it a point to drive all the way from Frisco to U Need every 2 to 3 weeks to be pampered. The service is great and the family that owns it is even greater. I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews. From what I've witnessed, most of the bad reviews come from people who thought they could come in, complain, and get something for free. NOTHING is ever free. This place is TOP notch! read more

I had two nails that needed to be repaired and I always get acrylic (for length) and gel polish (for long lasting coverage). I read a few reviews and decided to give this business a try. Huge mistake! When I walked in there was only one customer. That should have been the first red flag. All employees were lounging on furniture and engrossed in their cell phones. No problem. There was a weak attempt at a greeting before she asked what I needed. I sit down where she tells me and immediately in my face noticed a plastic divider that between me and the nail tech which would remind you of what we used more during Covid. Not only did we have that going on but they put an 8x10 paper of their services smack dab in the middle so you could not see her or your nails being done. Never ever in my life have I been to any nail shop that does this. That should have made it clear that they are on some different customer experience tip. Second huge red flag. She starts on my nails and never measured the length of the two new tips against the other two on the other hand which means she would have uneven nail lengths from one hand to the other. Her touch was aggressive. I started to feel hate coming from the other side of the table. It was weird, insanely uncomfortable, and it made me feel unsafe to be so unwelcome for no reason. She would work on my hand then throw it back at me when ready for the next hand. She did ask me if my nails were ok from time to time and I would tell her what to fix and there would be attitude through her body language as though I inconvenienced her. I was asking about the middle finger nail on my right hand because the nail was longer than I should have it for work, but she never filed it down right and the shapes of my nails go from almond to oval to stiletto depending on which finger you look at. I had enough of her unwelcoming behavior and low quality nail job. I wanted to get out of there before I said something that would lower my behavior to her level. I did not care to match energy but get as far away from this business as possible. Not certain if she is part of America that gets caught up in court cases associated with boycotts, but that may have been the very reason this business had no customers. I would NEVER give this business a second chance and my co-workers noticed the defects in my nails especially where she did not paint the sides of the nails, the different shapes, and the awful length differences. Zero quality. Unfriendly and hostile service, it guess who was first to the register? That is the only $55 this business would ever receive from me. The lady didn't like me from the beginning and I had no bad interaction with her until I was able to have both of my hands available for the last inspection. I told her I would never come back, expect a real candid review, and that she needs to have someone else start reviewing her work for quality after filing and shaping and before any final costs are applied, and I would not and could not tip her. I have to go to another business and nail tech and spend double to have this nightmarish job overhauled. I am so disappointed that employees treat good consumers like this. Spread the word! Do not ever visit this establishment. If the employees or owners do not like the community they serve relocate to where you do care about the community. I asked a young girl skipping toward us if my nails were even and the lady spoke in her native tongue likely commanding her to ignore me or lie, so the girl said "Yes," but would not dare look at me. As I leave the girl (not the woman but the girl appears to be related to someone at the shop) hops into a big body Lexus and takes off. Lexus is known to be a good car. Imagine if they charged her full price for a lemon (the Lexus). They would understand where consumers are coming from more of it hit them in their pockets. Gel already chipping day one, uneven nail lengths, inconsistent shaped nails on the SAME hand, paint missing on the sides of nails, and I am FORCED to get this shotty, unprofessional-looking work corrected. She wanted my time and my money. I would never treat people like this especially if I still charge you full price. I should not have to tell you how to do a basic nail job. These look like a child helped her. Let's stop giving money to those that treat us like we are less!

The pedicure went ok for me because i just requested basic white gel polish. Well my friend usually gets regular polish but she decided to get gel since I raved on how long it lasts. Well she picked a gel but since she's a regular the owner Tina told the tech to give her regular polish because that's what she always get. Well when they were painting her toes I said you know that's not gel right? She didn't know because again she usually gets regular polish. So this is issue number one. They didn't give her what she asked for because TINA told them to give her regular polish. Ok so she also wanted her nails done. I said hey they should be able to do your nails at the same time....Tina was like no I'll do it later when she's done with her pedi. Meanwhile, We finish our pedi's. It's after 8 and they've locked the doors. Well people kept coming to the door and Tina let in at least 4 more ladies and they were serviced while my friend waited. Issue number 2. So she finally starts on her, she clearly shows them how she wants her nails and Tina does her own thing once again and her nails looked nothing like what she requested. On check out I was given my total and it was half of what I pay at my regular salon. So I'm like ok I'll try them again since I'm saving half of what I normally pay. Which brings us to today. So today I arrived at 2:45, walked in at the same time as another little old lady who appeared to be about 80 years old. So we're both seated and a tech stopped from working on her client, ran our water and we both placed our feet in the water. 15 mins passed and we're still sitting there without any communication. So Tina and her sister walked in from lunch I suppose.....Tina sprinkles some blue product in the water and turns on the jets which starts the bubbles. Tina goes back to her station and laughs and talks with her sister while they watch videos on their phones. So at this point another 15 mins have gone by. I'm wondering at what point are they going to acknowledge us, start on us or do anything. So a customer walks in at 3:40. It's obvious that she's a regular because she speaks to everyone, walks to the back and washed her hands. So at this point I'm livid and thinking if they start on her it's going to be a problem. So I see that Tina's sister starts to prepare her station for the lady who just walked in. Sure enough the lady goes to her station and she immediately starts clipping her nails. So me, being ME....I sat up and said excuse me, may I have a towel. Someone from the back brought me a towel and I placed it on the floor, removed my feet from the water and proceeded to dry them. The lady says no pedicure?' I said I'm sorry. I've been sitting her for 40 mins soaking in plain water but yet someone else walks in and is serviced immediately?? The other lady yells she have appointment. (Exactly like that) I replied that's fine but me and this other lady have been sitting here for 45 mins and no one has said anything or done anything to assist us but yet someone else walks in and is serviced right away. I said no thanks but I don't operate like this and it's clear that the 3 of you were doing nothing and could've helped either me or the older lady. But the fact that you didn't speaks volumes. I'm sorry I don't pay people to treat me any kind of way. Now had they said something like we'll be right with you or give us a moment or anything I would have probably been ok. MAYBE. but ma'am I don't spend my down town waiting on people to decide to help me and I definitely don't pay them to do it. They don't have to ever worry about me stepping a toe back in their establishment. I don't care how much cheaper it is. I guess the saying 'you get what you pay for applies to this situation. They can kiss my.....
