I asked again if the syrups contained any dairy and was told no. We ordered again with oat milk. On the second visit, my husband had stomach problems and I suspect dairy was somehow inadvertently used. On the third visit, I thought it may have been a fluke, my husband getting sick and so we ordered what we had the first time but this time I got sick. So, I'm not sure if there is dairy in the syrup or if they accidentally used cow milk in our lattes. Too bad too, because the flavors were tasty. We also appreciated the donuts from Doughside Donuts. I'm just not sure we will be ordered coffee from here anymore. The entry is really cute and you automatically see the variety of plants. They sell some jewelry and plant/Mexican pastry merchandise. Service was friendly but parking is not so great, especially when they are busy. Street parking only and it can be slim, especially on street sweep days. Cute shop but be weary if staying away from dairy.

I decided to give them all a try and oh my... they were all delicious. It was warm, the crust was alittle flakey it had a nice little crunch yet also soft and the crust flavor was SO delicious. Loved that the flavors were not overwhelming sweet! The dark chocolate brownie and the lemon bar were cold and didn't think anything special about it a bit in the sweeter side. I'm a local resident of Oceanside, I've been around for awhile now and have seen how much your establishment has taken a turn. I can only ask why in hell the owner keeps a staff that is so rude to its customer's. It's not a coincidence that you have multiple reviews stating the same experience. I have frequented your place for awhile now and after the last few months It's sad to say I'm done with trying to see a change. Your owners lack of ability to see how much it's employees are ruining what I once considered a place that had value has caused me to never want to go back. I hope that who ever is reading this asks themselves, " do I really want to try a place that takes its customers for granted". Your business needs a jump start and cleaning of house before I even consider attending 101 Cafe again. read more

I came here to eat recently and was greeted by a lady who seemed to be in rush. I will say there was a lot of people showing up at the time I arrived. I didn't hold any thought to it at first but as me and my wife continued to wait to take our order we noticed we were an inconvenience to the waitress. To keep things short I want to say that I will not be coming back to this establishment. Your team of workers are rude and make customers feel like we're not welcome. What we really love about this place is that it's a blast from the past sort of dining experience. We've been here to try something for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have yet to disappoint. Their breakfasts are big and that's more likely when we come here. I like their fluffy pancakes with sausage and a glass of fresh oj. They have traditional dishes for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I'm a huge fan of this diner. If you've never been here, I would strongly recommend giving it a try. The Trucker's Dream Omlette is outstanding and the service is always fantastic. Refills are consistent and the time between ordering and receving your food is always reasonable, even on the weekends when it's slammed. My party did not get their drinks refilled nor did they bus our table. Lastly, no credit cards or ATM are accepted.
