If it was possible to give zero stars I would. Mainly because, they never showed up. I was scheduled to move Saturday at 9 AM. At 8:30 I was told they would be a little late due to a truck breakdown. I did not hear back from them until 3:30, despite many calls/texts/emails, when I was told they could not come today. As it was a truck breakdown and out of their control I allowed them to reschedule for Sunday at 10:30 AM. At 9:17 AM on Sunday I get a text that they are finishing up their first job and then heading over. I did not hear from them again that day. Despite numerous phone calls, texts and emails throughout the day asking where they were I got no response. I had to call another mover last minute on a Sunday to cover what these guys could not. Incredibly upset by not only the lack of their services, but also their lack of communication. Had I known that they would not be showing up at all I could have made arrangements sooner to find a company that would follow through on their commitment to move me. read more

Found 123 Move on Craigslist. Their prices were too good to pass up. Matt was efficient and polite in responding to email, texts, and phone calls. Got a confirmation email, and they even texted me when running a few minutes late on the day of the move. (Which was fine by me, I appreciated the communication and I was running late as well) Matt & Derrick showed up and went to work. Nothing but trip in, trip out from these guys. They packed their truck extremely well using lots of packing blankets for fragile or awkward items. They were courteous and would even offer to take the things out of my hand to finish carrying outside. A young and hungry business with a head on it's shoulder. Use them. read more

We were moving again within a year and decided (for the first time in my life - I'm a burly man with strong friends, so have always just moved myself) to get movers. These guys were nice, professional, on time, quick, did a good job, and charged us almost exactly what they quoted us. We were quite happy and would definitely use them again. read more

Matt and Derrick are the BEST! If you are anywhere near the areas these guys work in (Revere and surrounding areas - we were in Cambridge) - do yourself a favor and book them for your next move. This was the best, smoothest move we could have hoped for. They are master packers and loaded two door to door containers efficiently and also re-wrapped a few items that needed extra cushion and protection. They were not just on time but a few minutes early, so these guys are prompt and work methodically. Super nice guys all around, totally professional and a pleasure to have doing the heavy lifting that we couldn't have possibly taken on during the stress of moving. We had a lot of delicate items they handled with care and loaded into our containers with precision. DO NOT SEEK THEIR HELP. Do not schedule with them if you want movers to show up. I had a move scheduled for 12-3 and without any apologies whatsoever after 430 they were still "on their way" if I still needed them. This is the second time this has happened, where they failed to honor their commitments, and being stuck to move all of your furniture and stuff on your own because you have a limited time for a truck isn't exactly great customer service. read more

They packed up the truck really tightly and everything came out the other end in perfect condition. Their rates are very affordable for the great quality of work that they do. Wow! Matt and Mike just left after moving our furniture out of our apartment, and I am FLOORED! Initially, I contracted with 1-2-3 Move because their pricing beat out all of the area competitors by a long shot but, after witnessing them in action, I'll never use another local moving company other than this one! Best, Best, Best , Best Moving experience ever. I moved yesterday and these guys were OUTSTANDING! I moved out of a fourth story walk up and they never once slowed down in 3 hrs. Incredible. I originally tried to double the crew size to 4 because it is on the fourth floor and only superhumans could go up and down these stairs repeatedly - never mind carry heavy objects every time. Blown away by their strength and endurance. I would HIGHLY recommend Matt and his crew. They called me when they 15 min out and arrived exactly on time. CALL THEM!! These guys were great. They never complained or made one gripe and were very professional and courteous throughout the entire move. They spent 5+ hours with us and kicked butt the entire time. I cannot say more amazing things about Matt and his gang! They were total professionals and incredibly friendly! I had never used movers before and I can tell you that if I ever need to move again, I will definitely be using 1-2-3 MOVE again, and I am recommending them to all my friends. A few other friends moved the same day as me and everyone had so many horror stories. They are very reasonably priced as well. To top it all off, I was missing a door mirror (like a $15 mirror from Target) at the end of the move, and Matt bought me a new one and delivered it to my apartment (and after much back and forth because of my crazy schedule)!! I'm super bummed that I have to be writing this. I booked Matt and his crew a few weeks ago to move me from one side of Boston to the other. I had heard good things from a friend and saw some positive reviews (notice how old the positive reviews are.) The day of my move came and I was ready at 10AM as Matt had said that's when his crew would arrive. At 10:23AM Matt emailed me and said that he was running behind and would send over a crew asap. I was in no rush so of course I was accommodating. Around 11:40AM I responded and said that was fine. At 12:30ish I followed up and asked what time he would be coming. No response. This is when i grew weary as I noticed two other reviews stating that Matt really screwed them over. I tried to call Matt and did so 5+ times over the following 2.5 hours. Finally at 3:25PM he responded that he didn't have a crew in the area and he could come over at night. At this point I just wanted to move so I said that was fine. Well he never showed up and didn't answer any of my responses. It's sad to see a small business with such poor customer service. I REALLY advise people to be careful when booking 123 Move especially if you need to move out that day. You could end up in a really stressful situation. Luckily my lease didn't end that day so I was able to book with what I am hoping to be a more reliable company. Shame on Matt and shame on 123 Move. read more

My roommate and I moved a few days ago and we hired 1-2-3 Move to help us with the truck. Matt was extremely professional throughout the entire process - sending me an estimate and confirmations for the day of the move. On the day of, he and Derrick arrived on time, and were able to load and unload then truck we rented in less time than quoted. I am amazed at how they were able to pack everything up! When unloading they helped us make sure that the boxes got to the right rooms which was very generous and so helpful. I would recommend Matt and company to anyone! read more

My roommates and I moved from Somerville to Brookline this weekend with 1-2-3 MOVE, and our experience was fantastic. Matt and Derek called to check in before arriving perfectly on time, moved our belongings carefully and efficiently, disassembled and reassembled our beds, and unloaded all of our boxes into the correct rooms. My furniture was carefully wrapped and arrived in NH in great condition. They hustle but don't cut any corners. We used Matt to move nearly a year ago. We chose him because he was the cheapest. When he and his co-worker arrived, we were SHOCKED at how fast, professional, and thorough these guys were. They are experts at moving furniture through tight corners, they know how to take apart Ikea and other furniture when needed. And they work at lightening speeds. We were SO thrilled. And they take really really great care with your stuff. They wrap up anything that can be damaged and make sure its handled with care.
