Thieves. I hired them for a last minute move back in September. Classic bait and switch. Held my items hostage for MONTHS and were very rude and threatening the entire time. Finally got access to my items and many items were missing or broken. Over $2000 of stolen items. Now has become unresponsive since stealing and breaking my items. In ADDITION, this business is NOT licensed to operate in the state of Massachusetts or ANYWHERE. Do NOT trust them. read more

Last minute movers, more like last minute no shows. I had a appointment with them for 1:00 PM to move a couple pieces of large heavy furniture. Michael said that they will be there at 1:00 PM. When 1:00 came around we did not receive an update on his eta. We called and texted him to have him tell us he's doing something, can't talk and that he would give us a call in 10 mins. We gave him the benefit of the doubt and waited another hour before we called and texted him again. Now it was 3:00 and the people we were getting furniture from are getting really frustrated as Michael and his team have wasted all our time. Around 4:00 we received a call from him saying 2 members of his team are sick and they won't be able to do the move. Well that's great, you could have let me know 3 hours ago instead of beating around the bush. He was sarcastic over the phone and said that he could do the job the following day around 1:00 PM again. We messaged him at 11:00 AM asking him to confirm if he can still make it at 1:00 PM. We received no response or call. Here we are left out in the cold again. Absolutely horrible person to work with. I can see there are 5 star reviews here. I'm sure he's had some great customers. He is in no way shape or form a consistent person to work with that's for sure. I would think twice before hiring him to do a job. If you do choose this company, you'd might as well be flipping heads or tails on whether or not he is going to show up. read more

The worst mover ever. I scheduled the move with Michael on a Saturday morning. He and his team didn't show up. At 12 pm, I called a few times and he finally picked up the phone, telling me he's moving other people's furniture.(???) I questioned him that we already had an appointment and it's confirmed (I even called him again the day before the move!!). He shut me up and asked me not to rush him. He said they will come over at 4 pm... At 4:40 pm, I still hadn't heard anything. He didn't show up, and he didn't even call nor pick up my calls. I realized I was ditched and I had to hire someone else immediately before it's too late to move on that day. Eventually, my family and I finished moving at 11:30 pm that night. Until today, Michael still never called or apologized. It was my worst moving experience. I'm very angry about it so I'm leaving this review. Need to share it with the public. This company is malfunctioning with ill-customer services. It certainly does not deserve being credited as "professional". read more

I had hoped to use Last Minute Movers and am very disappointed that it didn't work out. This was my top pick as I needed a move for the following day. I'm moving items from a family friends house to my house and needed the help for heavy items. I'd only suggest this service if you have VERY VERY flexible timing. I had put in an inquiry on their website at maybe 10-11pm with addresses for the move. At 2 am I got a reply fro Michael saying he's available for the move and to give him a call in the morning. Called him at 8am and he says he'd be able to make it at 1pm. 1:30pm comes along, I called him to see where they're at and he tells me he'd call his team and would update me. 2:30 comes along and I never got an update so I call again, no response. Texted him no response. Texted again telling him we're on a tight schedule and he calls back saying he's got to cancel and reschedule for the next day. My family friends were upset as they had to cancel plans just to wait with me at the house for the movers to not show up. They rescheduled their plans for the morning of the next day. But Michael promised that 1:00pm the next day would definitely work for him. Later that night, Michael calls me hoping to reschedule for the morning of the next day which doesn't work out for us. Again, I am promised that it would still work out at a later time, aka 1:00pm. The next day comes around and as much as I wanted to believe Michael and team would show up, I contacted other services that would take up the offer. I called and texted Michael once at 1 hour and 2 hours before the scheduled time to confirm whether or not he could make it. I never got confirmation on whether he'd show up, but he did tell me he couldnt talk because he was driving. I told him he needed to reply to me by 12:00pm. He did not respond within the hour, so I ended up going with another service that responded. I had really hoped it would work out as I've read plenty of other reviews of how this service worked out for them. Unfortunately for my case it didn't work out and took up alot of our time. :( read more

I was stressing out about moving a bunch of heavy furniture down 2 floors, into my basement, last minute. Requested a quote around 10:45pm on a Saturday and heard back within 20 minutes! I had a very nice conversation with Michael at 11:10pm and the crew showed up by 9:30am the very next morning. The team was friendly, professional, considerate, and super fast (they moved all my pieces within 20 minutes!). They even brought me coffee :) I am relieved, considerably less stressed, and so pleased. Have cash for weekend moves, and be sure to tip the movers! UNRELIABLE, INCOMPETENT AND ABUSIVE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Unprofessional is an understatement. The owner's name is Michael Lynch. He was insulting, threatening and swore profusely while I finally spoke to him on the phone after he strung us along for a day and a half. I have never heard a business owner address a customer with such anger and use such name-calling when she was voicing a complaint. Yelling like a lunatic. They came to inspect the apartment and give an estimate, evaluate what tools would be necessary and then committed to doing the job the following day at 10AM. They didn't show. After calling and leaving messages he responded and said his crew was stuck on another job and would be there by 5:30PM. 5:30 PM came and he said they couldn't get to us that day and he would send his crew at 8AM the following morning. When they arrived, they came with no tools, no wrapping material and no moving equipment. Instead he said he couldn't do the job despite having observed the structure, assessed the logistics and affirming he could do the job when he gave the estimate. He had no explanation as to why he reneged after accepting the job. Disgraceful. I will be reporting him to the BBB and taking other available action so that the public is protected from this menace. read more

I called Last Minute Movers at 1:30pm on a Saturday, got a call back at 3:30pm, and at 6:45pm I had two movers at my door. Douglas and Charlie were professional, friendly, quick, and accommodating. I ran out of boxes so had about 8 unsecured bags and Douglas and Charlie made sure to everything secure and neatly packed into their truck. They brought everything down one flight of stairs and then up two while keeping everything in perfect condition. I booked them for two hours and we finished everything with 25 minutes to spare. I would give ten stars if I could! I bought a piece of furniture on Craigslist without measuring to make sure it would fit in my SUV. Low and behold it did not, and I found myself in a bind, as it was too heavy to be transported safely on top of the car. I contacted Last Minute Movers, and Douglas was there 45 minutes later with a pick up truck. He and his partner were friendly and efficient, and the price was very reasonable. I am assuming Michael is the owner and was very patient and understanding with me since I kept changing the start date on him. I needed help unloading a 24' Budget truck. Michael sent a father and son team who were fantastic. My daughter was amazed at the quarter trick to keep the door open. The team was very professional, friendly, and helpful. My wife and I are not in the best of health to help but my daughter who is 27 was helping them and they were making sure she is did not over do it. I had a great experience working with this company. Michael booked my move over a month ago. The day of the move the crew showed up a little early which is always a good thing in this business! The crew of three included Kenny, Curtis, and Jeff. They were professional, smart, and careful. They work very quickly and effectively together. They were also fun to work with. They had some huge pieces to remove from my apartment, including a massive armoire that had to be hoisted. They did a great job unloading and placing furniture. They weren't sloppy at all. Their prices are very reasonable and they do excellent work. I would absolutely work with this company again. I can't tell you how many bad experiences I've had with various movers over the years, including some of the biggest names out there. Sometimes bigger isn't better! These guys SAVED MY DAY!!!! After almost being ripped off by an online moving broker I was in desperate times to replan my movers and storage situation days before I had to be out of my condo. I purchased and bought home a very heavy treadmill and under estimated my ability to get it into my apt and up a flight of stairs. Luckily, I called Last Minute Movers very very last minute around 7pm and they sent two gentleman out by 8pm to help me get the treadmill inside. The two movers were pro's and very friendly. I'm so glad I called Last Minute Movers. I was recovering from a previously planned botched move job and I needed someone quick and reliable to move my stuff out of a PODS storage container at their facility, drive to back into the city, and unload it into a high rise. The move was super easy to set up and I got a prompt response to every phone call, even going back and forth to coordinate things a few times. Both guys who showed up to the job were professional and knew what they were doing. They brought the proper equipment to move. 4 stars only because they were a little late in getting started, but to be fair, they drove for an hour from far outside the city to Back Bay to pick me up and drive me to the storage facility. Would certainly use them again. If you're in a pickle (or you just need competent people), give me a call. They really are last minute and they did my move within a 24 hour notice! PS. The guy driving the truck politely asked me if it was ok to smoke in the truck while I rode with them, and respected my wishes when I asked him not to. Thank you for human decency. read more

These guys came to our rescue after another company dropped our job the day we had to move. The owner was kind, reassuring, and extremely efficient at getting a crew together and out to our house. Sal the owner was just Amazing, sent a great crew that took care of my grams stuff...it almost seemed like my family was packing it up. They had moved it to another family's home over 50 miles away, I had met them there they unpacked it and put it were I asked. Everything was in perfect condition and they were so nice and professional!!! On top of everything the price Sal quoted me was 200 less??? Two weeks ago, I hired last minute movers to move all of my stuff from my studio apartment in Kenmore Square to my new one bedroom apartment in Back Bay. I was in desperate need of a service that would box, carry, and move all of my stuff at the 11th hour (another moving company backed out) - I was given excellent service by Calvin, his crew, and Sal. I was stunned to see that the price was actually lower than my original moving company's quote in spite of the last second request! It was Sunday around noon, I had to be finished moving shortly to return my rental truck. I knew there was no way I was going to get it done alone. I called Last Minute Movers and spoke to Michael. He had a crew nearby that he said would get to me very shortly and indeed they did. The crew arrived and was very professional, hard working, courteous, and understanding of what I wanted and needed done. They moved boxes and furniture exactly where I needed it. They took books to the attic, broke down and reassembled furniture upstairs, and finished the job in less than the time quoted. I would recommend Last Minute Movers to anyone in the area. read more

He had guys there within the hour and moved everything in to my 2 bedroom apt in about 45 minutes. They were super quick, efficient and friendly. Being late, as usual, I had actually googled the term "last minute movers." Got a very good feeling when I found an actual company by that name. My experience with them totally confirmed the hunch. Michael was able to schedule me 2 days from my call, then remained exceedingly pleasant when I ended up having to cancel that move. He rescheduled me a couple of weeks later - again on short notice. He quoted me a great rate for two movers and a truck and gave me a one hour window on when to expect them. When noone had arrived by 10 minutes after the appointed time, I called Michael. Kind and friendly as ever, he told me he'd been about to call to say the first mover would be arriving momentarily. Sure enough, Tom arrived less than 5 minutes later. Tom is THE best mover I have ever seen, or even heard of. I saw other reviewers comment about the personal care and attention shown by this company; that was our experience to a T!! My sister is moving next year, and we're also clearing out a family home. Last Minute Movers will be doing both jobs. read more

They were great! I called them the day that I needed to move, the movers showed up and were really patient as a packed the last bits of my things. They stored my stuff for the summer and then delivered my things back the day I asked for them. Only 1 fan and 1 glass was damaged which I think is great considering how much I had. Also, when they forgot to deliver a box, they called me, repackaged my box and delivered it soon after - all around, it was a great experience! read more

We called Last minute movers the day before we wanted to move and fortunately were able to get an appointment for the morning next day. The movers were very good, strong and worked very hard. They were very careful with our stuff and provided furniture padding, glass padding and were very organized in the way they worked together. They put things in the rooms where we wanted them and were very respectful. I was honestly doubtful about movers because I have heard horror stories but this group lived up to our expectations and we were very happy with the results. read more

I needed one floor of my house moved out because of ice damage repair and floor refinishing. I had to do it remotely as I was out of town. Last Minute Movers were prompt and efficient moving a living room, dining room, kitchen and family room with lots of electronics, books and family memorabilia. I called Michael on a Sunday night asking if he could help me out the next morning (at pretty much the 11th hour) he said it was no problem, not to worry, he'd get me the help I needed. I had a rough morning- my moving van wouldn't unlock, I was running late, and my phone kept shutting off while I was trying to call and meet them. Through it all, Geno and the other mover(I forget his name) were so patient and helpful. When we finally got everything in place, they moved everything very quickly and efficiently. The place they were moving me into had no elevators and nonetheless, they made quick work of the whole thing. I am so thankful!! These guys helped me out in a major jam! The mover I had hired off of Craigslist ended up not knowing what he was doing and I was stuck with a bed & couch and no truck to move them with. I called Mike and he was at my place with two movers in less than a few hours! It took them about an hour and half total- they were super nice, fast, and efficient. I haven't used movers in a while since I've lived at my current location for over 5 years but after figuring out the time and cost that would go into a uhaul rental for a an out of state move (120 miles) I figured why not shop around and save time. I filled out an online form for multiple quotes, received an email almost instantly from these guys to call as soon as possible. Somebody picked up right away and quoted me the best price I had received yet - if I could move the day after the one I requested. Since I had a flexible schedule I figured why not. This was on a Thursday - so we set the time for Sunday, I was told between 7 and 8. Friday I received an email to confirm that movers would be there between 8:30-9, and yet another Saturday night to confirm between 9 and 10 the next day. I work nights, and I figured since we had already set the day and time, as well as what I would be moving, all would be taken care of. Moving day - nobody shows up. No one answers either of the numbers I have been provided, no answer to my email, and no response to any of my three voicemail messages. I waited 5 hours before giving up and scheduling new movers for later in the week. The price - too good to be true? Maybe - so then don't quote one and say you will be there and then ignore all communication attempts. This is not only the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a so called "reputable" company, but several other moving companies that I have since spoken to about this experience were shocked people could be treated as such. So go ahead and hire these guys if you don't really want to move and if you want to call your new boss in your new state to explain why you won't be at work the next day. AWFUL HORRIBLE UNACCEPTABLE BUSINESS CONDUCT. Not only do I not recommend but I will go out of my way to recommend the company who does show up and to make sure nobody I know EVER uses this company. read more
