One Harbour road is a high end Cantonese restaurant located in the sixth floor of the Grand Hyatt. The food here is high quality and the service here is also quite good. The restaurant is overlooking Victoria Harbour and you can get a nice view on a clear day. Food: 4.25 stars Service/Environment: 4.5 stars Overall: 4.5 stars Recommendations: mango pudding, egg roll, abalone stone bowl rice, imberico pork with vinegar My favorite thing here was probably the cheapest menu item. The mango pudding is one of the best versions I have ever had. They also do a nice char siu and I would recommend that as well. Good place to go for a nice meal for a date night.

This is a very nice space with good food. It is fresh, with well-balanced flavors, and a pleasant presentation. Service is professional and helpful.

I was honored to be invited for a dinner there. The party has the VIP room reserved. The room is charmingly decorated with ample room for a party of 15. We were attentively taken care of by the manager, Dennis and one of their senior wait staff, May. All the dishes were carefully prepared show casing proper Canton cooking. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a Chinese fine dining experience.

Come here for their specialties, not for typical dim sum fare (shiumai, hargow) which you can get elsewhere for similar quality but less expensive. $70 for about 8 courses shared among 10 people. I recommend: - Abalone over rice in hot stone bowl - best dish I had here - BBQ pork - very succulent, tastes sous vide - Fried fish stuffed with shrimp served with a forest of bok choy

Elegant traditional HiSo lunch and dinner venue with great views and impeccable service and faultless cuisine. Dining room is refined and luxuriously spacious for Hong Kong. One of the best Chinese restaurants in Hong Kong.

We met friends for dinner and actually went to the wrong restaurant, for there is another Star of Canton just up the street at I Square too and we went there by accident. This restaurant has an expansive and striking view of the harbor, high ceilings, big glassy chandeliers and is very spacious. There is a stage and so much room that it seems like the appropriate spot to have a banquet or wedding. It is one of those large Chinese restaurants that serves a lot of people and thus the soft goods (carpet, chairs, linens, etc) seem warn and need updating. Although I did not do the ordering and did not pay the bill, in addition to special orders of hairy crabs at an additional cost, we had a set dinner with like 7 courses for around $400HKD (which seemed like a great value, knowing all the delicious food we had). The set included their highlighted dish of Braised Whole Japanese Oma Abalone, in addition to marinated sea cucumbers, shrimp, sticky rice, a great soup with bean curd on top and although small and at the very end, a seasame rice ball that was really spectacular & a party in your mouth. Found in 1998, Star of Canton insists the tradition of the canton dishes with less oil, less salt, no MSG and no artificial colour. I like that and it is a niche in a sea of Chinese restaurant options. We had a good experience and liked the ambiance of the place, so we would reccomend and absolutely go back.

The dishes I must order here are their cheesy lobster with longevity noodles and their pepper salt pissing shrimp. Oh so good. My mouth is watering now just writing about it! And that night I went they also had razor clams as well! Yum! Service was great. The people were really friendly. The restaurant was busy on a weeknight as well. It's easy to find, near Jordan station located inside a plaza. Just take the elevator 7/F I think? and it'll take you straight there. Most of all their prices are very reasonable! You can't get this quality and taste for this price anywhere else; that's why I keep coming back. Writing this review makes me happy because I can relive this meal. :-)

We did not know it was a 2 star Michelin restaurant, and I was a bit apprehensive at the beginning, because we did not want to spend too much money on food on this trip. Upon our request, we were seated right in front of the Harbour view and were able to see the light show that start around 8pm. The most beautiful view of HK at night! We opted not to order the duck, which needs to be ordered 24 hour in advance and although I am sure quite delicious is quite pricy (HK$1,438+10%). Reservation in this place is a must! Highlights were the Wok-fried Wagyu with Green Peppers, Mushrooms and Garlic, Wok-seared Chicken Fillet with Lemon Sauce The server was so kind as to give us half servings so we could "sample" some of the more expensive items, add fried rice for substitution with the meat dishes and free desert. This flexibility in providing half portion and substitution is something i've rarely experience in a Michelin restaurant. Overall, we payed $US240 (1,900 Hong Kong Dollar) which includes the 10% service charge for two people for a michelin 2 star restaurant for an unforgettable meal! If I return to HK, I will definitely come back and try their dim sum.
