There is something strangely alluring about Asian food courts despite the obvious markup and lack of food TLC. Food Republic has perfected the model of showcasing a broad spectrum of east Asian cuisine, making for fantastic variety and an ideal spot for the indecisive. Just when I thought my visits to Silvercord were for the occasional quick bite, I've found myself here at least once a week for the past couple of months.
I couldn't rank all the eateries throughout the Food Republic variety, but they're all solid and most dishes are somewhere in the 40-70HKD range. There are other restaurants at Silvercord, but in terms of variety and casual vibe, Food Republic is an easy choice. This is especially appealing during that awkward afternoon tea time when every other place is closed.
There is a ton of seating and free WiFi thanks to the mall. It's also super kid friendly and . I haven't quite made the rounds yet beyond the Juzzbar, Bafang Yuqi and Shanghainese spots, but I fully intend on trying everything at some point.
