I lived here for over a year.
First, the convenience to IFC, to Central, the office building IFC I, II, Exchange Square, movie theater, the entire roof top bar scene, MTR down stairs, Airport Express, hair salon, nail, you can't beat the location.
Second, the service, nothing they won't do, even getting that caramel popcorn from the theater and bringing it up. BUT, you have to pay for it and every little thing, so don't get carried away my friend.
Third, the Blue Bar downstairs, becomes your lounge: Drinks are not cheap, so again, as sweet as it is to have your very own bar and the barmen knowing your name, and how to get you back up to your room, it all gets added on to your room bill at the end of the month. That bill can get pretty pretty long.
Your very own private gym and pool only for residents. Hmm. Here's a slight rub. Yes, you have it all for yourselves, but it's much smaller than the hotel one. It doesn't have a steam room only a teeny sauna. The amenities aren't as nice as the hotel gym, no Fiji water, no snacks and fruits.
The rooms, apartments are small. I stayed in a studio with 2 double beds. It was small. The one bedroom was a shoe box. The bathroom has separate tub and shower with TV in the bathroom was small. The hallway is where your kitchen is with a washer/dryer unit, and microwave and stove top, fridge is small.
What makes up for all the smallness is the service with a smile, clean sheets and towels regularly, convenience and that view, that view.
So, I'd probably negotiate staying at the hotel side :D But, the Four Seasons Place is far from being hell :D read more
