Fantastic room rates, excellent location, and decent amenities! My partner and I stayed here for a total of 7 nights during a trip to Hong Kong in November 2025. We stayed in two different rooms, as we checked out halfway through our trip to visit Shenzhen for 2 nights, before ultimately returning to for a few more nights at the tail-end of our trip. Here are our thoughts! Pros: -Professional, efficient, and safe baggage storage for as long as you need, which is super helpful if you have an early arrival or late departure. -Clean rooms, comfortable beds, more than enough pillows, and complimentary water provided daily. There are also combs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair caps, and other toiletries available at no additional cost if needed. -The property is located is within a few blocks of the Jordan MTR station, making transportation around Hong Kong very easy -There are tons of restaurants conveniently located inside the hotel, including Yat Tung Heen, which is an affordable one Michelin star dim sum restaurant. -Staff was friendly and welcoming at every interaction. Cons: -There was a slight sewage smell inside our bathroom in our 2nd room. It wasn't constant and it wasn't overpowering, but it was definitely noticeable. We didn't notice this in our 1st room during the first 4 nights. -The rooms are on the smaller side. We struggled to find space for both our suitcases and the sliding door to our closet was broken in our second room, disabling us from storing anything there. -Not sure if this was just us but the lights were difficult to figure out in the room. We were so busy sightseeing that we didn't have enough time to check out the gym or wellness areas! Overall, I wouldn't say this is a high-end hotel experience, but it's perfect for mid-range budget travelers that are looking for a nice stay without spending too much! read more

Loved our stay at Eaton Hong Kong and would return again! My partner and I booked a single double sized bed room and we stayed for 7 nights. The room was aesthetically designed, clean & comfortable. Free filtered drinking water is provided in a glass bottle in the room, which the hotel can refill for you daily. The location is super convenient - very close to both the Yau Ma Tei and Jordan MTR stops. There's a 7-Eleven right across the street from the elevators and plenty of nearby eateries within a walking distance. Not to mention the many options on the ground floor food hall, the buffet and the dim sum restaurant located inside the hotel! Temple Street Night Market is also less than 5 minutes walking distance. Check in took us a while (there was a long line). When we checked in our room was not ready yet, but reception was able to store our luggage for us so we could go out. Love that they also have a focus on environmental sustainability- little details like providing glass water containers & bamboo toothbrushes. read more

Fantastic hotel experience. I would definitely consider staying at Eaton HK again on future solo-trips to Hong Kong-Kowloon area. As somebody who is LGBT and low-key socially and politically active, it's very nice to stay at a hotel that is inclusive and affirms your identity, beliefs, and values. The hotel was adorned with walls and sections that educated, paid tribute to, and celebrated queer folx, commemorated those who have passed from AIDS, and other social causes. The hotel is also very involved with the local and global art and activism scene with social events and workshops that were free of charge, or for a nominal fee, for patrons of the hotel. For visitors, the check-in process was easy, and there were staff that also opened doors, offered assistance, and were extremely helpful. Eaton HK had a small, but clean, gym and pool area. The gym had a selection of dumbbells, step and riser, yoga blocks, kettle bell, and complementary towel service. The pool, again small, had floaties, and nice lawn chairs for people who wanted to tan. The staff would be check people in, offer towels, and if using the pool- would assign a staff to lifeguard in the pool area. The bed was sufficient, but a bit small. I did get the Nook - the smallest option, at about 138-168 USD (the range due to the hotel service cost and my laziness to verify). They also provided sustainable bottles of water that they refilled per day. There was a safe for personal items and a small closet. Consider upgrading to a larger room if you have 2 or more people in your party. The only negative was that I would wake up in the middle of the night (jet lag and insomnia) and smell old cigarette smoke. Eaton HK did its best by investing in air purifiers and imposing a smoking violation fee, but it still permeated through the doors. It felt like the neighboring rooms has a smoker that was violating the rules... Again not a fault of Eaton HK, but be careful for those who have sensitivity to smoke and allergies. read more

This review is for a solo travel. Overall I am very happy with my stay at Eaton Hotel: Location: very convenient. There are diners, Starbucks, 7-11 convenience store and supermarkets within 5 minutes of walking (some are literally a block away). Subway (MTR) stations are 5 minutes away as well, hotel is right in middle or Jordan station and Yau Ma Tei station. One can go just about anywhere with MTR subway. The famous Temple Street is also close by if one wants to experience street food and local scene. Location is super urban but this is about everywhere in Hong Kong. There are buffet and restaurants at the hotel (ground and basement). That is very convenient if one does not want to step foot outside for food. The only thing I did not like was the cover was too thick for summer. I have to set the air conditioning to 20 degree to sleep comfortable in the thick cover. I would fall asleep and then some time middle of night wake up sweating. Lighter cover would make sleeping in summer more comfortable and save energy (less air conditioning). read more

If you're not expecting a Ritz experience... It's a Langham, though not a full-scale Langham Hotel. However, this hotel is quiet, safe, and gets the job done, with a touch of obscure finesse. I got in at 9 am and expected that I wouldn't be able to check in until noon or later...and that was the case. However, it was nice that the hotel receptionist gave me a key to the fitness facility on the top floor so I could use their shower. Luggage storage is on the bottom floor where taxis and cars drive in. You can decide how safe that is. I wasn't provided a newer room like the ones that are prominently displayed on the hotel website (very greenish rooms!) but rather an older one. I heard construction upstairs at times during the day, so I know they're renovating. The room I had possessed that wooden look from the 90's with a small LCD television to match (no American new channels but you get Al Jazeera!). However, the room was spacious for one person, especially for HK standards. Having an empty minibar to put cold drinks is key in hot and humid Hong Kong. The bathroom was clean and tidy, so I can't complain. The wifi was fine throughout, and I had no trouble with it. Their fitness facility was okay, though the machines are starting to show some age. Their pool was a little on the smaller side. There are shower facilities for non-guests. Service, overall, was excellent. The staff's English is fine, if you need it. They were polite and helpful throughout. I didn't eat at the restaurant but it seemed fairly popular. The lounge seems old and drab, though. There's a cafe downstairs that I never noticed was open and a Michelin 1-star Chinese restaurant where I went for dim sum. The location is a little in between two MTR stops (Yau Ma Tei and Jordan) though it's closer to Jordan. The hotel is still rather convenient. If you want a fairly cheaper alternative to TST or the Island, Eaton is a good option. Protip: don't exchange money at the hotel. The farther you go away from the hotel and the main Nathan Road, the better the exchange rate is. Protip: the hotel gives a free shuttle from the airport but if you want to use their shuttle to get back to the airport, you have to pay a fee that was about $17 when I used it. Not bad considering I was pretty much the only one in the bus. read more

Wow - what a fabulous first impression. We were greeted with warm hospitality and shown to the wellness center with showers, so we could freshen up before our rooms were ready. The staff was so helpful. At just $138 a night in a fantastic location, Eaton Hotel is a GREAT selection. Had the pleasure of staying at the Eaton Hotel during a recent visit to Hong Kong, and while it may not be the finest establishment, it is a clean and comfortable one. I had to book the previous night to my arrival as my flight got in during the wee hours of the next day, but once I arrived there were no issues checking in whatsoever. The staff was very courteous and even at 3:00 AM, they were willing and able to layout a plan for places to visit around the area. Sadly, I was so tired and in a different time zone that I never took up their offer. So as many have recently mentioned, Eaton has been going through a renovation, and while yes it may be a hindrance for visitors, they give you a heads up ahead of time. From what I witnessed, the construction goes on from 8:00 AM on, but I was usually long gone by then, so it was never an issue for me. They also offered a free drink at their bar for the disturbances, which was a nice gesture. So onto the general info, the rooms themselves are larger than expected, and I did not opt for any special larger/expensive rooms. I was really expecting a room where I could barely move, but was offered a full large bathroom, two beds and a view (Not of anything special) and room to move around and store luggage. The room also had tea and coffee for quick morning caffenation, which is always a plus. The price was hard to beat (Booked Flight/Hotel via Expedia) and was on the Kowloon side of HK, which to me was a better experience than the HK island side and cheaper. Another plus is it was a five minute walk to the Jordan station which can get you anywhere in the city. I cannot comment on the amenities of the hotel, as I used it as mere sleeping facility before heading out on my next journey for the day. So was it the best hotel in HK, no, but a great stay in a wonderful city in my opinion! read more

We were very disappointed with this hotel for many reasons. #1. When we arrived there was one woman who was taking care of a customer and then 3 guys standing around behind the counter talking and never glanced up to welcome us or help us. After 5 Mins of standing there, one finally looked up and checked us in. No attempt to up sell on their end either. #2. The room had a musky smell and was hard to adjust to. Room was very small and comparable to a cruise ship size room. #3 staff were not friendly or eager to accommodate us. Would not recommend this hotel, nor will we stay here again. read more

Great friendly helpful service! Rooms were very clean, green, efficient and very attractive. Staff was efficient and very polite. Breakfast was included with our stay and the diversity was nice from British & American breakfasts to Asian, European fares...fresh and healthy! My review is for the Family room which is actually a hotel room with an attached kids room that can accommodate up to 3 kids with 2 adults in the main room. The only reason I don't give it a 5 is because there really wasn't enough counter or shelf space in the bathroom to accommodate 4-5 family members (though the bathroom was lovely) and because it was further from an MTR stop than I would have preferred (a few blocks). We also had the E Club which was an awesome perk. Very close to Temple Street night market and tons of shops. Nice cheap laundry down the street-use that because hotel laundry is expensive. Also, breakfast buffet is a nice variety! read more

3.5 stars no problems, check in was fast and the room was a decent size. The cafe is a little pricey but the gym on the top floor was nice. I wish they had a coin laundry rather than take out service. It's pretty central and easy to get to Jordan train station as well as a good base for walking around Hong Kong. They have a mifi unit in the room but just make sure it works as ours did not charge properly. read more

Stayed at the Eaton many times. Great location in Kowloon. If you're a night market junkie like me it's the best choice for its close proximity to Temple street night market. Small room so beware when reserving. Pay the small upcharge for one of their big rooms. Well worth it. This is a great choice for luxury at a low price. If you love walking then The Eaton is a great choice as it's a couple of miles to the Star Ferry which will take you to HK island. Good people too. read more

I just check out recently on the 29th April and everything is fine until I checked out and ask one of the concierge guy to help me get a taxi and he put my luggages in the car booth. When he put my luggages he tried to squeezed them in the car trunk and smack my hand carry luggage and I heard a crack but I just ignored it and get in the taxi, thought everything was ok until I reached my destination in Hunghom station. My hand carry luggage wheels where ripped ! It's broken because of a careless staff from the Eaton Hotel! I called the hotel right away to let them know and took back the luggage to the hotel for the Assistant Manager named Vincent Wong to see and help me But instead this guy Vincent was not helpful at all and doesn't even know how to calm down an angry guest. He gave me a temporary old suitcase for me to use while he said they will try to fix it. But how can they fix a rip wheel from a shellcase luggage? My whole day was already ruined by missing my meeting, lose the time and the Hotel doesn't even want to compensate my broken luggage. Vincent said they are protecting their staff. But Mr Vincent Wong how about your paying hotel guest?? I don't want any hassle at all! It is my property was broken by your careless staff! Before I left the hotel my luggage is fine! What do you think I would feel?? I talked to you few times over the phone but you kept hanging up on me! Very rude and immature! You don't care about your guest! Where is the Justice here??? August 2015 Wife and I booked a "deluxe" room through an agency after spending a week in Singapore and this was our first (and likely last) Hong Kong visit. Our room was as described in another review here ,like a cruise ship cabin. It was noisy, unfresh, tiny, with a nice view of the neighbouring slums when we lifted the cheap plastic blind. No ironing board, bed that Fred Flintstone would complain about and plenty of noise from the other rooms. We asked if we could 'upgrade' and pay much more, but the non english speaking manager said there were none. (Probably meant none any better) We had booked and payed for 9 days there and were gone the next day. Rather lose the 2k than spend any more time there. OK for a drunken Clubber, who most likely wouldnt have cared, but for a holiday couple, go elsewhere. Place is a dump... read more

I think this hotel is average considering the price and location. If you are taking a bus from china to Hong Kong make sure you get off at mong kok because the train station is Jordan and is closest to it. The building is very big, but the rooms are cozy aka small. Lucky all the doors inside the room were sliding doors. The beds are actually twin long, so it's a typical college size dorm room bed. They have flat screen tv, fridge and a safe, but the safe feels a bit loose. I got a bit nervous that it wasn't the safest safe, but it worked. The bathroom was nice, no tub, but shower will do. This was the second hotel I've been to that used frosted glass as the bathroom door and I must say I didn't like it because it was a bit transparent. I did like that they offered a free cellphone for you to use while you are staying there. Please do not dial from the room when the cellphone is free because they change 1usd per transaction when using the room phone. The front desk was quick and they speak really fast. They were very helpful as well. This location is great because it's walkable distance to the lady market and temple sqaure and also very central. They have great street food in the area as well. read more
