The crown jewel of the HK hotels. Assuming money isn't an issue, this place is simply next level in terms of service and amenities. They have a slew of high end restaurants and retail shops (including a Goyard store) on property. I'd say it would be worth it to just stay here for 1 night and then move to a cheaper hotel just for the experience.

Needing some much required sleep and rest after my one week jaunt through multiple bars lounges and other places of alcoholic offerings, I'm finally getting down to writing about this place. I didn't stay at the hotel. I drank at The Bar. That's the official name. Oldschoolish. Lots of wood paneling and cigar like vibes. Live music with piano player named Jimmy. He was awesome. He took requests. No top 40. No rap. Only classics. He played a version of Bach's minuet in G major. If you know this, its a version done by The Toys called A Lover's Concerto. I knew he was good. So I made the following requests: I Can't Take My Eyes Off You Somewhere Beyond the Sea I've Got You Under My Skin Something Stupid That's how you do it. Classics. Slug it down with a martini. Jimmy was almost as happy performing the songs as I was happy listening. It wasn't busy when I was here. Definitely a more refined and mature crowd. Not like the circus that is LKF. I'll be back.

Exquisite afternoon tea experience. The lobby is incredibly spacious so it added to the luxury. The live music added a Christmas spirit (November) to an already grand atmosphere. However we were pretty close to the band and it was tough to hear others. Also they apparently have a policy that for any photos, you can't have other guests (not in your party).

The grand dame of Hong Kong! This iconic hotel is located on Nathan Road on the Kowloon side. Visited in late November and the outside of the hotel was decorated with a gigantic Chanel necklace with pearls and logo- festive! The line for afternoon tea was starting to form at 1 pm, so we decided to skip the tea and have lunch instead. Ordered the Nasi Goreng and it was delicious with a glass of champagne. Five star experience- so memorable and a great way to end my visit in Hong Kong.

My favorite drink in the world- cold mocha. I love when we come to beautiful Hong Kong

Forever one of my favorites. From the exceptional cleaning to the amazing staff, this is truly one of the world's most beautiful and opulent luxury hotels.

The most famous and iconic hotel in Hong Kong! Not the oldest hotel in Hong Kong, however, it is the oldest and very first hotel on this side of the island in Kowloon since 1928, as well as the first of The Peninsula Hotels chain! The decor, service, amenities are as impeccable as The Peninsula's reputation! Located right in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, it's walking distance to tons of shopping center, restaurants, and attractions in general. On top of that, it's literally right across the street from Victoria Harbor and Avenue of Stars! From the moment we checked in to when we checked out, everything was taken care of. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. They even offered to show us our room and all the features in the room. I thought that was silly and unnecessary of them. Turned out, EVERYTHING in the room, including room service, housekeeping requests, are all controlled by not just 1, but 4 freaking electronic tablets! 1 on each night stands, 1 on the dressing table, and 1 on the study desk. Just a bit overkill lol. There are several restaurants located inside the Peninsula. We had the opportunity to check out 4 of 8. Felix is their upscale European restaurant with real strict dress code. The food and the service here don't live up to the price, but the view is one of the best in the area, overlooking Victoria Harbor. Gaddi's is another upscale French restaurant. Much better service, food, and atmosphere, no view here however. For traditional Chinese food, there's Spring Moon. The food is good, but for the price, I would skip it and check out tons of other Chinese food in the area. Then for breakfast, they have 2 options and locations. The lobby for A la Carte, and the Verandah for AYCE buffet option. Having stay at the Peninsula in Shanghai, I had high expectation for this one and was a bit disappointed. Since it was built over 90 years ago, the rooms here are much smaller compare to their other locations. If you can overlook this, it's worth staying here for the history, the service, and amenities. However, for how much it costs, you'd be able to get much bigger room elsewhere nearby. Another things that make this hotel so special are their fleet of Rolls Royce and their own helicopter service. They actually broke the Guinness World Record in 2006 for placing the largest Rolls Royce fleet. Out of the 30 and counting Rolls Royce the Peninsula hotels have, 15 of them are located right here! Through June 15, 2019, if you book a suite or higher directly from their website, it'll come with complimentary airport pickup/drop off chauffeur service in their Rolls Royce! If that's not enough, they have their own helicopter, helicopter pad that you can schedule a joy ride for extra fee, or even a full on all day event with Rolls Royce pick up, Yacht ride to their private island, and come back on helicopter, etc... The Peninsula hotels are the definition of luxury and being super extra. Especially true for the Peninsula Hong Kong as the first born child and the flagship location of the chain. If you want to experience extravagance, over-the-top being spoiled, this is it! Since they're celebrating Forbes Travel Guide 5 Star rating as the first and only luxury brand to have this honor, they're offering tons of specials on their website. Check them out before you decide to book anywhere else ;)

Afternoon Tea at the Peninsula hotel lobby is one of those those things you need to do at lease once. It's pricy and you'll need a reservation but do it. You'll be a happier person from it.

Definitely a wonderful place to go for teatime. The tea was excellent and pastries was not overly sweet. We had their chamomile and lemon tea. We lined up at 2 PM and finally got our seats at 4 PM. Teatime is from 2 PM to 6 PM. Highly suggest to go earlier and start lining up at 1:30 or even earlier if possible. It's great they have staff manage the line. Upstairs, they have musicians playing live classical music while we had our tea. That was one of the highlights of our trip. Bucket list checked, teatime in Hong Kong.

Best high tea ever!!!

Since 1928, from Queen Elizabeth, kings and queens of the world , celebrities, and billionaires has been here ! Although it is no longer a British colony, the high tea remains s favorite. A visit to Hong Kong without this tradition with be a miss! There were so much expectation, we were afraid it would live up to the hype... I am happy to say it delivered! The pure silverware , porcelain China from Tiffany and the best scones with clotted cream and strawberries jam are as good as the one from Britain! The live music adds the icing to the cake!

The Peninsula is the crown jewel of hotels in Hong Kong. I know the Ritz is in the tallest building in Hong Kong but the Peninsula is steeped in Hong Kong history and is right in the heart of TST. We went to the Peninsula for afternoon tea on Christmas Eve. We made reservations far in advance but it looked possible to walk in with a smaller party. The Christmas spirit was alive and thriving at the Peninsula with beautiful and tasteful decorations, and they had a quartet playing Christmas music and a choir sang carols for a little bit. The afternoon tea snacks were beautiful and surprisingly filling. We had plain and raisin scones with strawberry preserves and clotted cream; finger sandwiches including cucumber sandwiches, lobster rillettes and foie gras; and a beautiful selection of desserts. The service was on point!

I spent one night here and it was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had.  Service is world class.  The decor and amenities are wonderful.  Check in was fast and quick.  The lobby is old school charming.  My room did not face the harbor but did face the city.  It cost more for a harbor view. For a great harbor view, definitely stop in to visit the pool.  The pool reminded me of Heasrt Castle but with a better view.  I usually do not like public pools but I made an exception to enjoy this one.  The staff are friendly and accommodating. The amenities in the room were beyond anything I expected.  No Handy phone but all the places to charge electronic items was amazing.  I looked in all the cabinets and was amazed at all items I found.  Some items I discovered were the usual hair dryer to the unsual like a shoe buffer machine.  Their is a sliding door between the room and hallway entrance.  I discovered it's a privacy door for the room and a cabinet where you can summon house keeping to pick items for cleaning etc.  Place items in it, press a button, and someone will collect it.  The bathroom was really nice.  Its not huge compared to newer hotels but it has everything laid out so 2 people can use the bathroom without getting in each other's way.  Their is a make up vanity out in the main bedroom built into a desk.  I like how the bathroom is all marble. I would definitely stay here again.  Only thing that would make me pause is the cost.  You get a lot of amenities for what you pay for.

BEST HOTEL IN HONG KONG! I usually only write reviews for restaurants, first time I'm writing for something other than that. Their service is spectacular. Like seriously amazing I can't even describe. I think after living here, you won't be able to adjust to other places, and will constantly reminisce about this hotel... this is hands down the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Every time we go to HK, we have to stay here because no where else can even compare. Everything is included - free wifi, free international/local calls, free printing, anything you can think of. They have chargers for every kind of phone in case you forget yours. If you want to go watch a movie or dine somewhere nice, they can help you buy tickets or make reservations for you. So convenient. Once you enter your hotel room, you're greeted with freshly brewed tea, fruits, and chocolate. Try staying the Harbor View room, the Hong Kong side is beautiful especially on New Years when the fireworks go off! Check out Verandah on the 1st floor, for once it's a buffet that's completely worth the price. Also, if you're staying here, highly recommend going to high tea in the lobby. You won't need to wait in that long line!

Our mini bar was filled everyday and everything in it was delicious and complimentary. The breakfast buffet on the 2nd floor was a real, quality buffet. It had dim sum, traditional English breakfast items and American items as well. There was an omelette station, an udon station and a fresh juice station! This buffet was complimentary with our executive room. You could also enjoy breakfast upstairs in the Above & Beyond lounge, which we tried once. But it was a menu only option and the buffet was too good to forgo. Another perk of the executive room was the complimentary tea time and cocktail hour in the Above & Beyond lounge. The suite was reasonably priced versus suites in other hotels and allowed an occupancy of two adults and two children. Definitely recommend this hotel.

My family of four (w/ two younger kids) enjoyed our stay here 4 nights and 5 days during the 2024 Christmas holidays. This was our first time as guests of this Holiday Inn so we were initially worried the room would be too small or old, however, we were pleasantly surprised the double-queen room was adequate. Our experience here was terrific and would gladly return in the future. Our kids loved the free internet, and the parents loved how the hotel made things simple for traveling parents. Additionally, the room & desk service folks were very friendly and helpful. Overall, this hotel is managed well and expectations were exceeded. We felt very welcomed and honored to have stayed at such a fine establishment.
