It looks like a great spot for brunching with friends. It's one of those places where you order at the counter and they bring your food to you. The menu features extensive breakfast selections in addition to salads, sandwiches, wraps, pasta, tacos, & even Korean dishes. They serve beer & wine in addition to coffee, tea, & lattes. Decaf espresso & milk alternatives (oat, almond, & soy) are also available. I stopped in on a Sunday morning to get a coffee to go. It was chilly out, and a Mocha sounded comforting. The mocha is made with a double shot of espresso, Ghirardelli chocolate, & whole milk. I requested almond milk. The barista was very nice and told me it would be ready in a few minutes. He handed me my beverage, and I was on my way. It was yummy. I could taste the boldness of the espresso mixed with notes of chocolate. The touch of almond milk added a little creaminess without watering it down. Now that I've been inside, I'm intrigued to come back for brunch. *Free street parking.

The espresso leaned noticeably bitter from the first sip through the finish, and it was served a bit hotter than ideal, which made it harder to pick up sweetness and clarity in the cup. The milk texture was decent, but not quite as polished as my previous visit. That said, this is still a very cool coffee shop. The space is inviting, the presentation is thoughtful, and it's the kind of place you can easily spend time hanging out in. The biggest issue is consistency rather than capability. When everything is dialed in, they can produce a genuinely good cortado. I'd definitely come back, but I'd love to see a little more consistency from cup to cup.

Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience during my visit this morning. There was a miscommunication with my coffee and my daughter's chocolate milk, as both were initially served hot. I politely asked if they could be remade cold, and the staff member kindly agreed. However, when the drinks were returned, it was clear that ice had simply been added to the hot beverages. As a result, both drinks were watered down and unpleasant. By the time I got home, I had to throw my coffee away because it tasted so poor, and my daughter's chocolate milk had the same issue. I was very disappointed, especially after clearly requesting the drinks to be remade cold. It felt like a waste of money and did not reflect the quality of service I have come to expect from Zweets Café. The pastries were fantastic, gooey, flaky, fresh, authentic and house made. I would love to visit again if I was in LA. I got a variety I split with my brother and enjoyed them. Our favs were probably the Passionfruit or the Elderflower Rubarb. If you have never had fresh, non industrial/store-bought croissants these are going to rock your world. The prices and freshness are fantastic. I expected to pay more than what we did and these are reasonably priced. There isn't really a lot of parking so be prepared to park elsewhere. The inside is small and fills up fast and there isn't much seating inside or out. They have other things like matcha and other items as well. I encourage you to try a few items as some were better than others, but I have no major complaints!
