Easily one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time!!! The chicken cutlet was delicious, the prosciutto added a great salty flavor, and the whole thing just worked. I would absolutely go back just for this sandwich. The only downside was the wait. We stood in line for about 45 minutes in the heat, and since it's a pretty small spot with no real waiting area, it can be a rough experience during the summer. There also wasn't any shade or any umbrellas, so standing outside for that long was definitely brutal (highly recommend they add a couple umbrellas or covering to help). That said... what a sandwich. The food was good enough that I'd happily come back and wait again. I'd just recommend going on a cooler day or being prepared to stand outside for a while.

I got half an uncle primos chicken cutlet sandwich ($11). It was a lot of food and was loaded with chicken! Even just the half sandwich was too much for me to eat at once. While it was tasty, I did feel like it was missing something, and personally didn't find it to be worth the wait. But if the line were shorter in the future I'd come back and try other yummies from the menu.

As you enter there is a sign that tells you to go look at the menu board, pick out your drink, and go back to the counter to order. I grabbed a diet coke, and ordered a Common Cobb. I was a bit surprise when my total came to $18, as my salad was only $14 but I guess I should have paid attention that my bottle of soda was over $3. How much are the fountain drinks, I wonder? I found us a table inside since it was a bit hot that day (there is also plenty of seating outside AND inside if you go downstairs). The table and floor were messy but someone quickly came to clean it for me. They called our names over the loudspeaker and my best friend went to go get our food. She got the MotherClucker. Our food was REALLY good. If you like Cobb salad, you will definitely like this one. The chicken was pan seared perfectly, the vinaigrette was perfectly tangy and the bleu cheese was especially excellent. My friend's chicken sandwich has SO MUCH chicken salad on it. Impressive. There was so many neat items to see in the place. The murals were great, there were some cute retail spaces, a coffee bar up front, a bar downstairs, and ice cream outside! Unfortunately my bestie and I had too much to talk about so we didn't check it out as much as I otherwise wood. I would definitely try this place again!

They answered our questions and provided recommendations upon request. We had a large group, so it was taking a while for all of the food to be ready. I decided to just get a raspberry white chocolate scone and a greena colada so that I didn't have to wait a very long time to eat. We enjoyed sitting upstairs where we could all sit together and watch the scenery while eating. The kids loved the space, and it also provided us with some privacy for our birthday celebration. The scone was very good. I was a bit disappointed with the smoothie, though. I was expecting it to be flavorful and naturally sweet due to the mangoes and pineapple as well as the honey that was supposed to be added, but it was quite bland and not flavorful at all. Everyone else seemed to have enjoyed their food.

Soft, gooey, and the perfect sweet ending to the meal. Everything arrived fresh, and I was already thinking about what I want to order next before I finished eating. If you're debating whether to try EASTCUT, do it. This was easily a 10/10 meal, and I'll definitely be ordering again.

Yelp told me this delicious sandwich shop was just 5 minutes away, which seemed like the perfect option. It was a hot summer day and I couldn't believe how many people were sitting outside in the heat. We got the last table in the air conditioned inside, which made me happy. We placed our orders at the counter: - The Jane for me - Pine Street Pimento for my daughter and a bag of chips (salt & vinegar for me) for both! We did the smaller size sandwiches which were still quite large, but we were quite hungry and finished them off. They were so good that I even thought about coming back for lunch the next day, but knew there were plenty of delicious restaurants in the area to try. However, i'll come again when back in the area!

They make cookies, pastries, breads (pan loaf and hand-formed ones), soups, hand pies, and sandwiches. The variety is amazing. During the holiday season, they offer larger pies and have various seasonal goods to offer. But what's also wonderful is this bakery gives back to the community in many ways. During the height of the pandemic, they offered free bagged lunch to anyone who needed one. They also were (are?) part of the pilot project for Durham's guaranteed income. It looks to me that the owners/company are concerned about being good citizens of the community and that's a great thing. These days, so many companies get bought out by private equity companies. I hope this bakery continues to be locally owned and operated! (Also, generally this bakery isn't offering the very fancy European/European-ish style pastries which is fine by me. The prices are very reasonable, possibly in part because they aren't trying to make their baked goods a "high end" item. There are other good local bakeries that offer "high end" pastries, but they are also much less affordable and for my taste, too rich.)

However this last visit we chose to eat from Ex-Voto and ordered the Carnitas Crunchwrap. It was totally delicious, worth the price ( it was huge) and my husband enjoyed his Carnitas Burrito that was equally good. However, in looking at the receipt after getting home, we noticed an added 10% living wage service charge that we did not notice at the restaurant, and no signage about this that we could see. We always tip well and thus left a tip of 25%, so in all, they received an extra 35%. It would be good to be informed about this up front, or better yet, that they are paid more to not need that extra charge. If we had been told, we may have adjusted our tip accordingly. Just a heads up to others, but definitely eat there!

Love the zine vending machine, I didn't have time to visit a museum and this is such a cool way for tourists to learn about the area! Right around the corner there's a big hill park thing with a skate ramp, playground, and a little free library where I grabbed a book from a favorite series of mine! I made a reservation for 6:30pm on a Friday. I recognize sometimes exact reservation times cannot be honored but I was a little concerned at how slow the service was and how crowded the already small space was. They could not really give us an idea of when we would be sat and so we had to just kind of shuffle around to keep trying to be out of the way. It took about 15 minutes before a table finally opened up and we were able to sit. From there, the service continued to be slow. I know the staff - both servers and kitchen - were working hard. I don't blame them as much as it feels like they are understaffed and stretched thin. Overall, it took a while for us to get our food, and we were all hangry by the time we had food. The servers were running around so it took a while whenever we needed something or ran out of water. The food itself surprised me. I know the menu was small and curated but I was actually surprised how little variety there was. And I don't know if I would consider this a vegan/vegetarian friendly place anymore. While they do have dishes and options, it is minimal. I got the pork and mushroom dumplings, pork bao bun, onigiri, and the housemade belt noodles. Both the dumplings and belt noodles were coated in a chili oil that made them almost inedible. And I like spicy! But this was too much. My favorite was the onigiri. Overall, between wait, service, quality, and price, I do not think I will be back.
