This was such a great find! We absolutely loved everything we ordered from the appetizers to dessert and also how are their deserts so well priced compared to other places? We ordered two mango sticky rices because it was heavenly, perfect blend of coconut and condensed milk, the mango was super fresh and this was truly the best mango sticky rice I've ever had at a Thai restaurant. We also got the banana fritters and look at how cute the presentation is! Loved the little hearts and the great flavor of fried bananas, didn't taste oily at all and so easy to eat. For mains we got the shrimp pad see ew, the noodles were deliciously chewy and the perfect size. Also loved our banging curry fried rice! Can't wait to be back, perfect for a date night or a random day you want some good food.

We've been wanting to try this place for a while. The store is clean, it's Christmas time right now so they had it adorably decorated. Our server was nice, there weren't many people there eating but they were busy with take out orders. I was really impressed with the quantity but after we ate I see that the busy was much deserved. Everything we had was delicious. We will absolutely be back.

Drunken noodles with scallops was delicious. I had a great time on a Wednesday night. Very clean space.

I got my food delivered and it could have been better. Overall, the flavors were decent. The Chicken Green Curry didn't have as much spice as I expected and the chicken was a little dry. The Beef Pad Thai had some burnt pieces of overcooked egg that I didn't find pleasant. I liked the flavor of the peanut dressing that came with the salad.

This is my second time eating at Thai at Main St, and it's always pretty standard: satisfying but not really mind blowing. Most recently, I got the Spicy Eggplant with Tofu- it wasn't very spicy unfortunately, but had a good sweet/savory profile and portion size. I also got the Thai Iced Tea, which was absolutely delicious: perfectly sweet and refreshing, definitely get this! Ambiance is nice, service is fast. Free parking in nearby City of Durham garages on weekends and after 7pm on weekdays. 7/10 would recommend!

I loved this place so much, I revisited them again on my recent trip to Durham... This time, I tried their Pad See Ew w/ Beef, which came with a complimentary side of Salad. Surprisingly, they were out of Spring Rolls though. Huh?? The Pad See Ew was solid...but I would have preferred a stronger sauce/flavor on the noodle and/or the beef. Still, it was beautifully presented. I also tried their Thai Donuts, which were amazing! Perfectly toasted so that they were crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Loved this even more than their Pad See Ew. Definitely a Must if you come here! Since they were out of Spring Rolls, and the Pad See Ew being a bit bland, I would have rated 3, but their presentation was definitely a 5...so guess I'll drop a 4 this time. Still, overall, this is a very nice place for Thai food. Great ambiance...great service...and good-to-great food!

    Pineapple fried rice with tofu

Delicious Thai food at this spot in the midst of a row of great restaurants in Durham. It was an early dinner, so not crowded. There are about 18 tables in this rectangular storefront restaurant. Service is efficient and quick, though somewhat brusque. Tried Kra Pow crispy duck, on the menu as a daily special. A generous portion of perfectly cooked, crispy skin-on duck is served atop a melange of colorful red peppers, onions, carrots, broccoli and basil, stir-fried in a sweet-ish brown sauce, and garnished with an orchid. The duck is excellent - very flavorful and not fatty. Also had pineapple fried rice with tofu. An enormous portion (took half home) of delicious vegetable fried rice is chock-full of 2 inch chunks of tofu. The tofu is firm, flavorful and well-seasoned, tasting of a sweet sauce. Lastly, Drunken Noodles. This one is made with the traditional prep, wide noodles, stir fried vegetables, chicken and topped with fancy shredded carrots. Definitely a good spot for Thai in downtown Durham.

I enjoyed some of the best Thai lunches in Durham NC at Thai at Main Street. I loved both the generous serving of shrimp pad Thai as well as their aromatic Tom Kha soup (the coconut lime flavors were delicious). Their Thai tea was creamy and perfect for a summer day. The atmosphere is very nice and inviting and the service was extremely responsive and respectful.

First time here, we met friends here who recommended this place. The inside is very clean and modern and has nice window and table seating. More of a modern vibe which is great. Started off our dinner with a Thai Tea, that was delicious. We had the Dumplings (steamed) for an appetizer, they were a good size and pretty filling. Lots of flavor for little guys. For $6 you get 4. We ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken. Hands down this has been the best one we've had. There is a sweetness that is sooo good about this dish. Portion size could be just a little bit bigger for the price. We will definitely come back to this place. So glad we came!

This place is a hidden gem, is a medium size space very a cute inside, both times I've been here is not fully packed (I don't understand why). This is my now favorite place for thai food! Everything is delicious. Highly recommend!!

My friend is from that area of the world and on her recommendation we tried this new place in downtown Durham. It was terrific, what a find! The restaurant's unique handmade paintings on walls and other Philippino decor was very eclectic and cool. They had a hand painted mural of the famous Chef Anthony Bourdain Which was cool but he's from New York so I'll have to ask the owner about that next time I come back. Lol The place was packed and we were walk ins but the owner was at the reception desk and told us to wait and she might be able to find us a table. We were in luck and she directed us to the back room. The server was extremely knowledgeable about all the dishes. Since I had my Philippino friend along she told us what she liked as well as the helpful server. The food was delicious and had a beautiful presentation. What I ate I can't pronounce so look at my pics of the menu ;) I had a bowl w beef filet, onions, tomatoes, cucumber lining the bowl w Jasmine rice and a fried egg on top. My friend had oxtail and the other had an appetizer of Lumplang Shanghai and entre of Pancit Behon, all food was extraordinary and large portions. No doubt that was why the place was packed! It's a great place in downtown Durham to check out next time you want to have some adventurous dining. Kain Po Tayo! (Enjoy your meal!)

There's not a ton of seating, but we got a table quickly. The service was quick, and even though the place was small, it felt more cozy than cramped. I liked having the menu on the wall! They had two vegan options, and my partner & I both got the Biang Biang noodles. It was good, and perhaps even better the next day (the serving was big enough that I couldn't finish it). My sister got the Jjajiang Mian & absolutely loved it. This was a very positive experience, but not mindblowing--I think that the hype around the "M" restaurants perhaps raised my expectations a bit too much. It's also possible that their non-vegan options are stronger than their vegan options. Overall, though, very yummy, the prices are very reasonable for Durham ($16 for the Biang Biang noodles), and I would come back & try the veggie curry if given the chance.
