Loved these! I have been looking for bagels that taste like home and these are close. I never thought I'd miss something so silly like NYC bagels but I do. Came on a Sunday early afternoon right before the line got long. It's a tiny shop with no real seating inside. Mostly an order and pick up spot. There are some seats/tables on the side on the sidewalk but not many. We did wait quite some time for our order even getting there before the madd rush. They had your regular bagel options nothing fancy which was fine. I love sticking to basics. I went with a bacon (well done) egg and cheese on an onion bagel. It was amazing! Very flavorful and salty. The eggs were a great texture (not runny or overcooked) and the bacon was well done. My only gripe is that I'm used to huge bagels from NYC rap for the price. Though I honestly was full off half of the bagel and a cup of chai latte. The other half tasted just fine later that afternoon reheated that's how soft the bagels were. Babe woke up craving NYC bagels. I had heard of this shop and decided it was going to be the move. When we arrived, we found a small shop to order from with some seating outside on the side of the building. It was full but not too long of a wait. Looking at the menu I want to try everything but settled on the vegetarian bagel on salt and pepper bagel. The food came out quickly and a table opened up outside on this beautiful day. Waited in line for over 20 mins then when I got up to order, it was told I would have to leave my service dog outside by herself or not eat here. They all saw me with the dog when I walked in and let me stand in line for 20 minutes before saying anything to me. It's not even a dine-in restaurant. The Sichuan chili oil cream cheese was a unique flavor that I found quite tasty, but my friends said the lox bagel sandwich was a little on the plainer side and should've upgraded to a flavored cream cheese. THIS IS THE BEST BAGEL in the Raleigh Durham area, hands down. I got the poppy seed bagel with sausage egg and cheese and it was perfection. And one of my coworkers from Texas said the tomato/sun-dried tomato cream cheese option was really tasty. I also love that they open early so I could get what I needed well before 7:30am. There was a bit of a line out the door, but it moved fast. we ordered a bagel with jalapeño cream cheese and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich both on everything bagels both were absolutely delicious. The bacon egg and cheese sandwich was my favorite because it came out hot and fresh and the cheese was super melted. I've actually been following them since before they opened the brick and mortar on Chapel Hill St (which reminds me I never redeemed my Kickstarter rewards...) and am happy to report Isaac's has been consistently delicious. Their in-season tomato bagel sandwich is one of my favorite things in the world!! In addition to bagels, they offer some sweet treats and coffee. They have a tiny indoor space with a handful of outdoor tables. We typically park over at Durham Co-op (which shares a big lot with some Duke buildings) and eat at the picnic tables over there. Recommend online ordering ahead of time because they get really busy on weekends (though service is never unfriendly). read more

We've seen their bagels at the Durham Farmers Market and finally made it to their brick and mortar location. There's not a lot of parking nearby but we found a spot on the side street. The space is pretty small but they do have outdoor seating. We enjoyed a sausage and egg breakfast bagel and an open face bagel with lox. It can be really difficult to find a parking when they get busy. But the highlight is the service. The barista I interacted with today was so warm and friendly to everyone who came in. I loved the bagels here; they were crisp on the outside but very hearty and doughy and decently sized. The people behind the counter were so nice and welcoming. Stopped in early on Sunday morning to pick up a bagel for myself. Luckily there was no wait and plenty of parking nearby. The hardest part was waiting until I got home (didn't want everything bagel seasoning all over the car). The bagel was freshly and chewy and their everything bagel seasoning is nice and garlicky! Service: The servers are friendly, and our bagels came out in ~10 minutes. Food: We ordered the Whitefish Salad and Egg Salad Bagels. The Whitefish Salad had a pretty intense fishy flavor that we didn't feel balanced well with the cream cheese. The Egg Salad really threw us for a loop. The curry taste was very strong and overshadowed any of the egg salad/pickle flavors. The bagels themselves were chewy and dense. Overall: While we weren't impressed by our bagels this time around, we're hoping to come back and try some of the other menu items. Quite possibly the best bagels in the Durham area!! My boyfriend and I grabbed breakfast sandwiches this morning (he got the sausage egg & cheese and I got the bacon egg & cheese). They were both chewy, flavorful, and filling. Since Isaac's is to-go only, we ordered using the mobile system. The process was pretty straightforward. They make your coffee when you come to pick up your order, which is nice-- nobody likes lukewarm or watered-down drinks. I will definitely be back soon to try some of their cream cheeses!! read more
