I tried this new place in Everett on Main St that is serving authentic Nepalese and Indian cuisine. It's called ZuZu Momo and the name fits the cuisine. The momo dumplings are definitely fit for Royalty and it's safe to say they have the best Naan, I've ever eaten! With the wings they are bringing the heat and you can get them traditional (fried) or the spicy, smoky, tasty Tandoori option. The beer list is impressive (more like something you would see in Portland, Oregon not Everett, Ma.) The curry is spot-on and anything coming out of thier well -seasoned Tandoori oven, is to die for. Very tasty Indian and Nepalese food! My husband, daughter, and I had the place to ourselves on a Sunday for dinner. The staff were very nice and brought my toddler some blueberries while we waited for our food. I ordered her the kid's momo dumplings, for myself the paneer biryani, and my husband got the chicken tikka masala. We also ordered some plain naan to share. While waiting, I ordered the midori sour - a melon liquor cocktail with soda water and a cherry on top. It was refreshing and not too sweet. All the food was delicious! The biryani is rice flavored with garlic, tomatoes and other spices. So flavorful and I had quite a bit to take home. The tikka masala was cooked perfectly. Do yourself a solid and buy the new road style C Mo mo. Had no idea what to expect with this.... our whole fam destroyed them. The flavor! It's truly hard to pinpoint what it was. Little Sichuan, little Indian, tons of flavor! Would like to try the very spicy version but the kids were sharing... next time....Should have bought more! Tikka masala- superb. Butter chicken. Food taste is ok, but it feels frozen and then reheated. Some parts of the plate were almost room temperature (?). It was a clean place overall, but the ice and water tasted a little weird. The samosas I ordered didn't looked anything like the photos they posted here. The water glass had lots of stain on it. It was empty, and we waited for some time for the food - since there was just us in the restaurant, I thought it would be faster. I ordered extra spicy curry, but it was not spicy enough even after adding the two included containers of hot sauce. Most indian places will make me regret in a pool of sweat when I order extra spicy. The website doesn't state if rice included with the curry order but it was; don't make my mistake of ordering extra basmati rice. The garlic naan was extremely tough and difficult to rip apart. Ordered takeout last night and my partner picked it up. We've eaten momos all over Boston and these were some of the best! Perfect dough, and even the filling on the "naked" ones was amazing before dipping into the sauce. We ordered the Kothey and the New Road Style C (one was chicken and one was pork but I can't remember which was which). The New Road style came in a chili sauce that was pretty spicy for a "medium" -- we love heat and could definitely handle it but others may want to order a mild if they are sensitive to heat. We also ordered the paneer chili (one of my favorite dishes) which was solid, a side of lemon rice (yummy!) and the chicken Sekuwa which was tender, perfectly charred, and sooooooo delicious (def squeeze that lemon on there!). We are gluttons so we each ate uncomfortably large portions for dinner, and I have a normal-human-sized portion leftover for lunch today! They definitely seemed like they had just opened--because they are brand new!! The person who answered the phone and took our order didn't seem super confident in their menu item knowledge, and they underestimated the amount of time it takes to cook the chicken dish, but these things are TOTALLY understandable when you are a new restaurant and didn't impact my appreciation and delight in the food in any way. As mentioned in another review, their full menu is not updated on Uber Eats, but once it is we will definitely be ordering more, as Uber Eats delivers to East Boston, whereas the restaurant's delivery only extended to Everett, Malden, Medford, and Revere (according to them when we called last night). Ordered Friday night takeout from this "new kid on the block," and we are so excited to welcome them to the neighborhood. First of all, the delivery was quick and easy, which is a plus. We ordered the special momo dish, with pork, my wife had the paneer chili, and I had the butter chicken. All of it was absolutely delicious. The sauce/toppings on the momo were delicious and spicy, and the pork was flavored wonderfully. The butter chicken was a good compliment, the creaminess helped even out the spice. The paneer chili was also super good, but rather similar to the special momo dish in flavor, and very spicy. Its relatively new restaurant mainly for Nepali x Indian food. The food was tasty, made spicy or moderate as per request. The ambiance was contemporary and cozy. The partitions were made during covid times. Though the dining space is not spacious. We ordered potato chilly, which was good better to order moderate or less in spice level as they take their spice levels seriously vegetable steamed momo was packed with flavor with creamy chutney. Chicken lollipop and chicken biryani was delicious as per my husband's opinion. They don't have a set up for naan or bread yet but probably we can expect that in near future. Mohito and lychitini was on the sweeter side. I would prefer lychitini. We had yomari for dessert. Yomari is rice dumpling filled with khoya or jaggary mixture as per your choice. Was on a search for a Friday night dinner spot with my husband and we're both so happy we decided to give this spot a chance. Everything we ordered was absolutely phenomenal with great portions. The waiter was attentive but not overbearing. The ambiance was great to allow for a night out if you're looking to grab some drinks with delicious food, but not too fancy where you feel like you have to put hours into getting ready for dinner. Amazing! Finally found the right biriyani!!! So good. Perfectly spiced. Chicken 65 was great Chinese/Indo mix. Samosas could be a tad bigger. I love them stuffed, but the flavor was spot on. Steamed veggie dumplings also good! Gobi Manchurian had a lot of onions and peppers that I wish were a little more cooked, but good nonetheless. Will definitely be returning for the biriyani. This excellent Nepali restaurant serves a fantastic variety of Nepali food. We have been here multiple times, and we have no complaints about the food quality. I'm giving four-star because I didn't particularly appreciate how they always run out of the stuff. Every time I have ordered something off the menu; there has not been a single time where they said they are out of the drink or the particular food. We were there last Saturday, and they advertised that they were open till midnight, but we were rushed to leave the restaurant around 1140. "Hidden Gem" would probably describe this place the closest. It was a chilly rainy Thursday when I entered this establishment right after landing in Boston. I received a warm welcome from the wait staff. I heard a lot about this place from my friends but tbh did not know what to expect, I pull out my phone to scan into their Covid friendly menu online. I was pleasantly surprised my their diverse menu and drink list. I kicked myself for not giving this a shot sooner. Momos being my favorite food of all time, I couldn't go without ordering a couple of varieties for the group I was with. Also, some curries and Naan. Let me tell you that this food is not one of those "heat and serve" kind of food. I could see the effort that they put in preparation and every bite oozed flavors. The ambience of this place is pleasant to say the least. Cozy neighborhood ethnic tavern feeling. Swing by after work for a pint and some momos kind of vibe ( I still wish I worked locally). The establishment was spotless with COVID rules in place. The decor was unique with Nepali pub vibes. The waitstaff and service along with food timings couldn't be any better. Ordered delivery from this restaurant a couple of times. Their Paneer Makhani and Butter chicken masala are the stand out dishes for me. So creamy and full of flavor. Perfect with rice or garlic naan. Their malai kofta is average. The gravy is great, very creamy and flavorful, but the veg balls (kofta) are not good. Also tried their veg fried rice and chilli chicken. Loved the chilli chicken. Good spice on it and sauteed well in the sauce. The fried rice is so so. Looking forward to trying their momos next time! Considering their name has momo in it that should've been the first thing I tried. Lol #facepalm read more
