    Authentic Irish pub in Medford.
    Jerry C.

I wanted to try this place a second time before writing a review and I'm glad I did. First and foremost, this feels like an authentic Irish bar and is in fact a local neighborhood bar. Nice seating at the bar as well as high tops and regular tables as well as a patio out back. It's mostly hard seating with little acoustic treatment so it's a bit loud. But it's a friendly local bar with a very interesting menu. Despite my ancestry, I'm not the biggest fan of Irish food, but there was plenty on this menu that caught my interest. I went with the Reuben sandwich which I haven't had in a while and it was great. The other dish was Sausage Rolls, Irish sausage and a puff pastry nicely seasoned. This was really flavorful and filling. The service was prompt and friendly. The beer menu was quite nicely varied. The wine selection limited. All in all very satisfied with Mrs. Murphy's.

Welcome to Medford Square and cannot wait to be back to try the food. The space was fairly dim not to make one out of place and neither makes one take out the phone torch for everything. The decor is cozy and loved the ambiance. 5 stars for the prompt service on an opening night which was super busy. I did not expect to have a host or find spot to be seated but the main guy behind the bar was super fast and attended all. Definitely want the "Not my Nana's tea" next time to try. The Tipperary was interesting and closer to a fruity old fashioned and the curry fries were hot and nice. Hope the service remains as good as today and we all can say : Job well done.

We visited on Saturday @5pm St. Patrick's day weekend. The place was packed! We were committed to wait for a table, so we grabbed a drink from the bar. Once seated, the service was amazing ,friendly and efficient. For starters the Eileen's Feta Dip was so tasty. Our entrees were the Veggie Shepherds Pie and a Reuben with fries. Both were Absolutely delicious and exactly what we're craving. They have an impressive cocktail, beer, bourbon and whiskey menu. Super inviting atmosphere, live music was a nice bonus. Overall, great experience! We're so excited to have this as an option in Medford Square. See you soon.

Absolute treat of a pub ahead of High Kings concert across the road. Guinness poured proper, cocktails decent, and our fish n chips, Shepard's pie, and sausage rolls hit the spot. Will be back for the Reuben and all day breakfast. Great live music and despite being packed to the brim st pattys weekend we secured a table for two that came with attentive friendly quick service. Glass was never empty despite barely any standing room.

Not a lot of drink choices. Limited with their alcohol stock. Good vibe though. Service was good.

Food is great. Friendly service. Local vibe. Small but really adds to the ambience. Feels like it has been there for 100 years.

Yes, they have a seasonal patio seating, at the back

Where is the best place to park? We will be coming there for the first time tonight and will need that info, please.

It's only open for brunch on Sundays, which combined with always being seated immediately makes it feel like a hidden gem. The back patio is quiet, shaded, and sheltered from wind. The food shines. Of course the egg scramble and the Benedict's were fantastic, but every piece of every plate feels deliberate and done with intention--nothing is an afterthought. - Their home fries are my all-time favorite--thick, well-seasoned, soft on the inside with some crisp on the outside. - - The English muffin toast has a crunchy golden surface and soft inside. - The whipped cream on the French toast feels luxurious. - Oyster shooters are a fun treat, as a lover of both fried clams and bloody Mary's. - They were kind enough to accommodate us with a half order of their (outstanding) French toast for dessert I'd note there's no espresso drinks on the menu, although I did enjoy the black coffee. I like trying new spots, but if the question is Sunday brunch then Avenue is always my answer.

There were many options to choose from but we do like to try places that are not always traditional. Hoping for a local favorite. Right on the corner, it is easy to find and with street parking easy to get to and enjoy a good meal and probably a late night gathering with friends. Rustic looking, it definitely put off the vibe of the local establishment for Arlington. We were the first customers that early afternoon. They were literally unlocking the doors when we arrived. The menu offered enough options to satisfy our dietary and personal preferences. Meats, chicken, fish and veggie options. You can find something. Staff was very friendly and attentive, but we were the only guest that early in the day. The crowd did pick up as we ate our meal. Large windows allowed you to sit and people watch on, what I would imagine is the Main Street for the town. It was Sunday so a little quiet so not a lot people watching today. Food was great and the presentation was a lot more than expected for a tavern. Full bar options and a good list of local craft beers. I love trying local beers when possible. A lot of space for seating during the day and I can only imagine the evening bar scene. Based on the number of people who did walk in while we were there to recover their credit card from the night before. Sounds weird but it totally gave off the local vibe. Love it. Very clean and tidy for a Tavern. Respectful place. Plenty of TVs to watch your favorite game so I enjoyed a chance to see one of the Sweet 16 games that day. So, if you are in town, give Town Tavern a visit.

I just wish the flavors were bold like the looks and descriptions. The summer shanty was a good beverage on a hot evening. The turkey tips were beautiful although with very little flavor.
