    Halo Halo Mocktail
    Bisma A.

I've heard so much about the Baldwin Bar so I was excited to finally try it! We went on a Monday and were seated in their downstairs area, which had a cozy and hip vibe. The staff is really accommodating and offered us options for mocktails, which was great. I highly recommend the halo halo mocktail, it was sweet and refreshing! We ordered a lot of food options including the lo mein noodles, crab rangoons, crispy cumin fish, and shredded chicken with spicy garlic sauce. All the food was good, but my favorite was definitely the lo mein noodles. Some of the dishes were on the saltier side as well. Overall, I had a good experience, but all the food was definitely pricier than I expected.

SUPER fun experience. The drinks were amazing and very unique. The food was really good, arrived fast, and there was plenty to take home! The bartender was fun and we loved chatting with him. I would recommend the place overall, but it's the cocktail menu that should be highlighted. Seriously good.

I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I come in here. I was so happy that my friend took me to this place! Drinks for epic the service was awesome and the food was good. The building itself is great in its own right, and has such a cool history! I highly recommend you make reservations!

I've been here a handful of times and each experience has been amazing. I've been to both bars, the Trading Co (upstairs) and the Baldwin Bar (downstairs). Even though they are housed in the same location, keep in mind that they do have different drink menus (the food is the same) and different ambiances. Either way, make sure to make a reservation and be mindful when you're making the reservation since there are two bars! On to the food and drink...The food is good and the drinks are even better! I've had their scallion pancake, prosperity noodles (spicy, but a must try!!), spicy dried rub beef brisket, and tangerine chicken. Everything was high quality and well-cooked. I loved the scallion pancake as it was light, crispy, and flakey, just like a scallion pancake should be. The tangerine chicken was also really tasty; there was a perfect breading-to-chicken ratio and the sauce it was covered in wasn't too sweet. Their Sichuan food, the beef brisket and prosperity noodles, was some of the best I and my friends have had. There was this nice slightly numbing flavor that wasn't too overwhelming. Drink-wise, I'll have to split it up based on the two different bars. - Baldwin Bar, Downstairs: I've ordered the Halo Halo and Chopstick Mai Tai. The Halo Halo is a really great frozen cocktail, you can taste the ube and isn't spirit-forward at all. I really recommend this drink. The Chopstick Mai Tai is also really tasty and paired well with all the food we got. I also got a Passionfruit Daquiri on the house during one of my visits (have I mentioned amazing service!). - Trading Co., Upstairs: I've had their spin on a Piña colada, the Avenue of Giants, and the Gold Ceremony. The drinks are a bit fancier upstairs as well as in the dining rooms. I really loved the strawberry mascarpone espuma that was a part of the Avenue of Giants since it was so light and flavorful. The Piña colada was so tasty too and our bartender was so kind and made it just for us. The Gold Ceremony was really spirit-forward but also very good. Overall, this place is a must-visit. I love the drinks, food, and service. Our servers have been amazing EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The only thing I will say though is that you have to make a reservation. This place gets busy, even on weekdays. They have a parking lot (which is a bit small) but I've always been able to find parking.

Points for being the only place like it around Woburn. This is the spot you party at in Woburn. Trendy crowd. Good looking people. So the setup is really cool. The place is designed with a cool island feel. Outdoor patio tables. Music. A cool interior. It's the most energized spot in the burbs. Growing up, we really never had many options for Thai, Japanese, etc. One thing we did have was Americanized Chinese food. This place brings me back to being a kid, eating dishes like sesame chicken or shrimp, sweet and sour, fried rice, etc. The combination of savory and sweet is so good. This place reminds me of this spots in NY I grew up on. The duck was super dry, but everything else was really good. I was so looking forward to the duck and ended up leaving more than half on the plate. Fried rice was awesome. I really enjoyed it. The sesame shrimp definitely brought me back. This is the place I'll go to satisfy my craving for Chinese food. I'll definitely come back for some night time drinking with the trendiest crowd in Woburn.

Does the Baldwin bar serve beer?

    Yes. Bottled beer

    Are there vegetarian options?

They definitely have pescatarian options. My husband is a vegetarian but he does eat fish, so he usually orders those. I know they have several tofu options as well.

I would love to visit the restaurant and hope too soon to check it out and meet any workers or the owner but unfortunately at 35, I am having bad problems with my back and not able to stand or walk for three minutes or less . Now let's get to what is important! The brisket and the ribs are truly great, cooked right and so, so tasty and both make a great meal especially with the pit beans. The pulled pork sandwich is absolutely delicious. So flavorsome. The cornbread is really good. Like really, really good. I haven't had a cornbread like that since my mother would make it. I love getting a pulled pork sandwich and some cornbread. The kids absolutely love everything that I have named too. I was happy that my son had liked the pit beans, I was surprised sometimes he can be picky but he really liked them. He loves everything they are, especially the pulled pork sandwich and the cornbread. Even though I have not been there, they seem to have put a lot of work into their menu and definitely into their cooking each time I get something from there... everything is always cooked amazing. They absolutely have everything under control.

Much to our surprise, it took 10+ minutes for anyone to come over to our table, and there were only about 4 tables sat in the entire restaurant. Not off to a great start. The food at the location, was by far the best of all locations. All the meat was tender, and the sides were perfect. We got the pulled pork, pulled chicken, ribs, burnt ends, brisket, mac and cheese, brussel sprouts, coleslaw - all were exceptional. Assuming service improves, I would give this place a 5/5 and is an absolute must go to. Skip heading into the city and go to the suburbs. Parking is easier, and the food quality is much better!

When you walk into a 99, you usually know what you are getting. Nothing on the menu is going to blow you away based on the ingredient list or inventiveness of how they are used. I love the classic feel of a 99, it definitely reminds me of dining out with my folks 30+ years ago. The dark woods, the hostess stand and the usually quite busy long bar. It even smells like you would expect, but in a good way. During the height of the pandemic, this location specifically had up a giant circus like tent for many months for people to dine out. We have finally felt safe enough to begin returning to indoor dining with two little ones, who also enjoy the menu offerings of places like the Ninety-Nine. Now you head on in and pick where you want to go....some nice high tops, a booth or the bah. Even though it's standard for fast-casual, the portions are nice and the prices are in line with what you would expect for the quality. And the service is what has bumped this up to the highest possible. They are attentive and really care about their jobs, which is becoming rarer in the service industry post-COVID world. You get exactly what you pay for here, and the tie-in with the Red Sox while having two kids, where they get a free mac n cheese with some veggies and a side of dessert all thrown in with our meals is a nice touch for families. I don't know what more you can ask for from this type of place. They go above and beyond the national players and it shows.
