We have been to this Zov's location more times than I can count and each time the food and service have been excellent. They take reservations and it is particularly nice to sit out on their patio in the evening and dine to the live music they have many nights. My favorite dishes are the Chop-Chop Salad and the Kebobs Two Ways, but the encrusted Salmon is also very, very good. We went to Zov's for lunch today after not having been here for about 9 months. Service was great; the food was OK. The menu hasn't changed much, but the corkage fee has, which is a deal breaker. The corkage policy used to be the 1st bottle was free and the 2nd bottle had a $15 corkage fee, which was reasonable. That's now been changed to $20. corkage per bottle. Zov's Irvine used to be one of our go-to places for lunch or happy hour, but with the new fee we won't be returning. Instead, we will continue to patronize our favorite $0. corkage fee restaurants. read more

On a rainy day, this place wasn't that packed. Lucky for me, I was able to get table right away. I was craving some kebabs. I ordered the beef and chicken kebabs. It was seasoned perfectly. The tomato and cucumber salad was delicious. I usually never order chicken when I'm eating out because oftentimes, it's too dry. This chicken was just right. I didn't give it a five stars because the beef was a bit chewy, but it's still very good. I was expecting better. And there was no pita bread. I was a bit surprised. Maybe I have to order it but still, it should at least come with a meal. For Thinsulin fans, you can easily make your dish green light. I would still come back here and I want to try the sea bass. Food is pretty tasty. Got the two kabob plate. Kabobs were juicy and not dried out. Rice tasted good but a little mushy. Veggie salad that came with the kabobs was also crispy and fresh. My only issues were the prices, i mean 10 bucks for 1 egg roll? And that was the happy hour special. Also got the dirty fries, same issue very tasty but pretty pricey. Every dish my friends and I had here was delicious. However you need to have a deep wallet as it is very expensive. They have a great outdoor dining area that is shady when the weather is warm. A great place to hold parties if you can afford it. read more

It's in a mall so lots of parking nearby and they were busy at 6pm, so they are quite popular. Although we were a party of five, we were seated quickly. Like many restaurants, they seemed understaffed and we waited for service. Having read Yelp reviews prior I ordered the steak tostadas for an appetizer. That was a good choice as three were two small cubed steak tostadas on each plate and they were quite tasty. For an entree, the limited selections on the menu were varied but suggested (to me) a Lebanese cuisine. The lentil soup was highly recommended but we didn't order it. I had the lamb burger which had feta cheese. The cheese was excessively salty and once most of it removed, the burger was okay but I wouldn't recommend it. My wife said the fries were excellent. Our two grandchildren ordered hamburgers but refused to eat them claiming they smelled bad. Neither took one bite of their burger read more

I love coming to this location when ever I am in the area. The service is always great. The staff seems happy and are always happy to help with suggestions. My favorite is the Lamb Burger! Service is good and space is nice and quiet ... not full at all. Food is very fair. The sandwich was sliced up pretty thinly and the bread didn't need to be that big to accommodate such thin slices. Disappointing. This used to be a nice place to go for a nice weekend brunch. But they obviously have new management or new kitchen staff. The food is now bland. And service is even worse than before. (Service was always mediocre but is even worse now.) They have no one working the bar. It is haphazard service. I ordered eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. Smoked salmon has been one of their signature items. No more! The English muffin was apparently placed on a plate and placed in the oven for too long. The bottom of muffin was too touch to cut with a knife. The arugula and capers salad was placed on a hot plate and wilted. Just totally disappointing. read more
