Out in the middle of freaking no where is this wonderful place called Zorba's! The area around is a little sketchy, but who cares...they make a mighty fine pastrami burger. It's a typical burger joint here. Oh mann...get that number 6, which is that pastrami burger combo and switch out the fries for fried zucchini. It is really good. You get a generous amount of pastrami on your burger, and a lot of fried zucchini. They also have this super cool Coca-Cola touch screen dispenser, that has like a whole bunch of different sodas. Before you dispense your soda into your cup, let it run so the person's soda before you doesn't mix in with your soda. My boyfriend got grape Fanta before me, and I didn't let it run before I put it in my cup....so I had grape flavored root beer. The staff is nice and quick. Definitely come here to try some burgers. I guess Zorba's is a pretty good burger place. Or at least it's better than any of the ones in Riverside. I didn't order the avocado burger this time so I decided to give the store four stars instead of three. I was also extremely ravenous so that might be why I enjoyed my burger more this time. They also have tasty fries & I like that they have the high tech soda machines! Customer Service was okay. The cashier wasn't friendly or rude. She was just doing her job. I did think it was rather dumb that she asked if I wanted cheese on my hamburger, but I'm a picky person. Now I'm not sure if this place is the same but many many years ago in Beaumont CA we had a Zorbas and it was So good. This joint definitely stacks up the burgers are so similar and hell yeah tasty. I love the way they shred the lettuce like micro fine. I know that is trivial but it really does something to the burger!! They have a wide range of food all of which was great they are friendly and always willing to allow me to customize my order which can sometimes be a pain in the neck for the staff, but it's very much appreciated. Over time they have been slowly improving and upgrading their place. Their most recent addition? A touch screen soda dispenser. Located in the middle of nowhere, pass the huge paper cup sculpture and through 3 railroad tracks. This place looks like an old-school fast food burger joint which is cute. Until you go in and your eyes fall on their prized possession. The Soda Fountain. This thing is amazing! Got a Peach Sprite and an Orange Coke-a-Cola. Crazy! There was so many flavors to choose from. I wish I could have sampled them all but there is a line and you don't want to make the other people wait. This was the only reason why I didn't go to the drive thru or else I would have stayed on my lazy butt. The burger was sooooo crazy. I had a deadly food coma with my bf. Filled with pastrami, bacon, and cheese. How can you not die from that? Definitely should consider splitting that burger with someone else. The fries sucked. Mushy and I believe undercooked but I'm not sure if that's the way they intended to be. Either way I didn't finish them. It was gross. Staff is nice, efficient and helpful. The owner? The hype about Zorba's has me shaking my head. This burger joint did not disappoint, but I'm not left with the impression to come back any time soon. I do appreciate the cleanliness and friendliness of the workers though. But what you see, is what you get. -The soda machine itself looks awesome. And sure enough, it is! Remember the "Suicide Drink" every kid in grade school made??-when you mix together all the sodas flavors available. Can you imagine doing that with their soda machine?! Suicide for sure! -I am impress with their Fried Zucchini. Sounds delicious. And tastes delicious. It comes with ranch sauce too. But dip it in ketchup and can be a guilty pleasure- fried veggie. -I tried my friend's Avocado Bacon Burger. Avocado with anything pretty much tastes amazing. But the charbroiled meat patty enhanced the burger. But I also liked the burger because it is on a sesame bun and instead of a leaf lettuce, it is shredded lettuce. Classic =). Yum Zorba's! This is local favorite restaurant. You don't truly live in Riverside if you haven't been to Zorba's! Living in so cal it is hard to find old fashion burger joints. You might think I'm crazy, but In-n-out, ruby's, johnny rockets, etc.. just isn't cutting it. I truly miss places like Nations and Giant's Hamburgers in nor cal. My two favorite items are the double burger and the steak sandwich. I like how everything is reasonably priced around 5 to 7 dollars per item. A little more than fast food, but worth it. Sometimes you might want a hardy burger that isn't wrapped in some colorful fast food logo. The steak sandwich is the 3rd best I have ever tasted, 1st Kelley's, 2nd Yardhouse. If you are near UCR just head down Iowa from campus it should be on the right side before you hit the 215 freeway. Yum Zorba's. Highly Recommended. I use to come here often since I went to UCR. I came back recently to see if they still had those delicious burgers. If you enjoy the smokey flavor and charboiled taste then you'll love it here. I arrive to the drive-through at 6:30 I did not get my food until 730. Everything was cold and it does not appear to have any sense of urgency inside. I witnessed the attendant that has majority of her head shaved with a ponytail on top I placed my food in the counter and go about her day for a good 30 minutes before she came back to the window and gave it to me. It was obviously ready and she couldn't bother to hand it over . This is a place I will never go again. Had to knock off a star because of the workers. They need to get some workers who won't belittle their customers and people who actually smile. The first time I've ever tried pastrami was at Zorbas. I got the Zorba Burger which was pretty big and meaty. For me, it's too salty and a bit bland. Since then, I didn't go back again cause of my lack of liking for pastrami. Today I came back again just to see if I would like to try it again. After carefully looking at the menu in the drive thru, I find the Beefeater! I did not realize there was a roast beef option probably due to the hype about the Zorba Burger. I ordered that, fried zucchini, and a Zorba Burger meal with fried mushrooms instead of French Fries. The wait at the drive thru was awhile since it was fresh. I loved the Beefeater! The sourdough was toasted perfectly. The roast beef was ok if eaten together in the sandwich. I had tasted it alone and it was pretty dry. The fried mushroom and zucchini were delicious as well. I came here for a fundraiser for my fraternity awhile ago, and I thought this place was ABSOLUTELY amazing. First off, the burgers here are amazing. Like seriously, it's like the next best thing to In & Out. On top of that, they can add AVOCADOS to any burgers of your choice. Amazing right?! I only continue to come here because their food is amazingly delicious. They have a large variety of food from breakfast to steak dinners. Again, its a fast food restaurant so don't expect a fancy steak. The food is made in front of you and you can watch them. Plus, they give large portions! The store is dirty. Now for the ambiance - The restaurant itself is pretty compact, but the layout of the restaurant was like an old diner which gives a nice vibe. I ordered the Jr. Burger with cheese and avocado. Don't let the name fool you -- it was a decent size. The patty tasted like it was cooked on a grill in my neighbor's backyard and the veggies were fresh. My friend ordered the sausage breakfast burrito. It was good but not amazing. The eggs are not scambled but are folded in there omelette style so it was a bit dry. But it's nothing that can't be overcome by Tapatio. In true fatty-fashion, we ordered a side of their french fries and jalapeno poppers. The fries are thick enough that you can taste the potato and thin enough so that it stays crispy on the outside. Poppers were good too -- prefect texture and not too spicy. Overall, I am glad i finally got to check this place out. Definitely a great place to get your burger fix. I came here after my friend recommended me a good place for a quick meal. And it did not dissapoint! I got the Zorba's burger after reading recommendations on yelp and my BF got the fish burger. The Zorba's burger was good. Juicy and full of vegies and flavor and pastrami!! The fish burger was better though! I don't know what fish it was but it was light and flaky and not too overly deepfried. As much as I love my meat, the fish won me over that night. It was also cool that they had a foutain drink machine where you can mix different flavor syrups with your typical sodas. As cool as it was, nothing beats a burger, fries and a coke. I dip their chili cheese fries (I order with extra cheese) into ranch, and I dip some of their fried mushrooms in ketchup and some in ranch they both taste so good it's hard to dip into just one.
