A month ago, we visited to inspect a Corolla that was advertised on their website as in excellent condition. However, upon closer inspection, we discovered that the photos on the website had been manipulated to hide the fact that the roof paint was mostly missing and the bumper was severely damaged. Last weekend, we returned to look at another Corolla, made a deal, and paid for the car. Throughout the transaction, our salesperson, Kemy, kept contradicting himself about certain details and making commitments about the car's repairs. He repeatedly promised to provide us with a copy of the "we owe" items that would be fixed before the vehicle was delivered on Monday, but he never did. There were some marks on the roof paint that Kemy claimed he had shown to the service team, who assured him that "it was just gunk that would be buffed out." I also pointed out some tire damage and he stated that the "tires would be replaced." I'm using quotes here because I was taking notes as he was explaining these details to us. On Monday, when the car was scheduled for delivery after service and detailing, I attempted to get an ETA several times, but Kemy didn't call me back until after 6pm. He informed me that a part for the recall was not in stock and had to be ordered. He said that the part would be delivered on Wednesday and the car would be detailed and delivered then. Since I wasn't available to take delivery on Wednesday, I requested delivery on Thursday and was assured that it would happen. Kemy called me at 9:30am on Thursday, claiming he was taking the car out of service and to detailing, and that it would be ready for delivery within a couple of hours. This was unusual because he had previously informed me that the car would be out of service on Wednesday and ready for delivery. I texted him about the replacement tires, but I didn't receive an immediate response. Last night at 6:30pm, he called me again, repeating his earlier statement that he was taking the car from service to detailing. He also mentioned that two bad tires had been replaced. He assured me that my car would be delivered last night. Meanwhile, I received a voicemail from an unknown number. It was clearly a butt dial of two men, one of whom I recognized as Kemy. They were discussing finding a replacement vehicle. I'm still unsure if they were talking about my car and haven't received an explanation for why this other salesperson named Chris had my number in his phone and accidentally called me. Half an hour later, Kemy called again from his cell phone, but it wasn't him. It was his sales director, Kevin, calling on Kemy's phone. Kevin asked me for an explanation of the situation and I provided him with a detailed account of everything that had transpired up to that point. Kevin apologized for Kemy's lack of communication and explained that the car was not ready for delivery. He gave me his cell phone number and informed me that the car would be taken to detailing at 9am today when they opened and delivered to me immediately afterward. He promised to call me at 10am today with an update. No call at 10, so I called him at 10:30. He said that the car was still in the service department getting some filters replaced and not in detailing, as he had promised me last night. Kevin assured me that the car would be delivered by the end of business today. Kevin and I discussed the "we owe" items after we bought the car last Saturday. I had requested copies of the document from Kemy multiple times throughout the week, but we weren't provided with a copy at the dealership. I kept a list of the items on my notes app as we discussed them with Kemy, and Kevin asked for a screenshot, which I provided. Kevin informed me that we weren't promised hubcaps and that only one tire had been replaced. He also claimed that the paint anomalies on the roof were scratches through the clearcoat and that they couldn't do anything about them. These were all blatant lies from Kemy. At that point, I demanded a complete refund and will be taking my business elsewhere. Earlier today, I left a voicemail for the general manager, Steve Riddick, but I haven't heard back from him.

My 2018 Honda Accord was diagnosed with a failed turbocharger, and service advisor Aidan Carlson told me that even with my warranty coverage, I would still owe nearly $800 out of pocket. What concerned me was that he began discussing potential out-of-pocket costs before the warranty company had fully reviewed the claim and repeatedly stated that the warranty would only cover the turbo repair. When I contacted the warranty company directly, I learned that additional charges had not been properly itemized and that labor costs exceeded what the warranty company was willing to pay. After I asked Aidan to provide more detailed information to the warranty company, the claim was re-evaluated and approved. Miraculously, my estimated out-of-pocket cost dropped from nearly $800 to $0. The most frustrating part was feeling like I had to do my own research and advocate for myself to get an accurate answer. Had I simply accepted what I was originally told, I likely would have paid hundreds of dollars unnecessarily. Whether this was poor communication, lack of attention to detail, or something else, it left me questioning the transparency of the process. I appreciate that the repair was ultimately covered, but this experience significantly damaged my trust in First Texas Honda's service department.

I decided to wait for my vehicle and was disappointed that I was not given an estimate of when the car would be ready. I've had other makes of cars, and those dealers always provided that. When my vehicle was ready, my advisor came to me and let me know that nothing was found, and provided the extra information I had requested at check in. I received a text that allowed me to sign my invoice, but I was also sent to the counter, where an invoice was presented, so I had that option too. Lexus has a coffee shop for customers, and here's where this review loses stars. The employee working was cold and unfriendly. She wouldn't smile. She wouldn't engage with anyone. When no customer was at the counter, she stood around, looking unhappy. When I got in line for a second time to get a refill she made me feel like I was bothering her. This is not the Lexus service I expected. On top of that, while I was in line that second time, an employee came in through the back of the café area and asked about getting food, asking about the last muffin in the case. She said he could have it and take it. So, he did. There were four of us in line. What if one of the customers in line wanted it? Overall, this is not Lexus level service.

One thing I noticed that's new is that when you check in it's likely you'll get a call from the sales department asking if you wish to have your car appraised to sell to them (I did). To be honest, I wouldn't buy a new Lexus today with all those small four-cylinder turbo engines and the new spyware cameras that watch you driving. I love my 2010 ES 350 and I wish they still made them like this. I'd definitely buy another one. My visit consisted of a 30 point inspection, drain and fill transmission service and serpentine belt inspection. I did ask to see a sample of the tranny fluid to see how dark it was since the car comes with no dipstick, but they forgot my request. They did run into a problem with the drain plug being stripped from the previous tranny shop so they had to get one from the Toyota location which added an extra hour and a half to my wait. Altogether the inspection and trans service set me back $532. It would've been nice if the inspection included a diagnostic scan to check for any codes. Overall, everything went well, and Harold my advisor was very attentive. You'll pay a little more here than the average shop, but at least you get the right parts and fluids. I'll be back when I need something else fixed.

WELL THE FIRST THING I NOTICED WHEN I GOT INSIDE THE CAR WAS THAT THE FLOOR MATS WERE GENERIC FLOOR MATS THAT DID NOT FIT THE CAR AT ALL. AND WHEN I SAY THEY DID NOT FIT THE CAR AT ALL, MEANING THE FLOOR MATS ACTUALLY COVERED THE GAS PEDAL. i brought this to the attention of the floor sales manager. Instead of coming up with helpful solutions from the beginning I was told that the pitchers online did not come with floor mats.So they just threw some floor mats in there. Again, I told this guy that this is a safety issue.The floor mats literally covered the gas.Pedal, and they let me drive off that way. They told me to find some floor mats under a hundred and fifty dollars, and they were reimburse me. Now I'm not the sharpest knife in it. Kitchen drawer? But I would always think that a dealership's top priority is to make sure they're letting you leave in a nice safe vehicle At the very least, they could have said.Hey, let us take these car mats out this vehicle.And when you buy some new ones, just bring us the receipt and reimburse you.No that did not happen. 7. Let's continue to talk about the car. Before carmax sells your car.They are supposed to do a quality inspection on the vehicle. I'm under the impression that this vehicle did not get a dural quality.Inspection. My reasoning for saying that is because the following day When I took the car to where I work at which is ABM W dealership It was pointed out to me that the windshield had a very large crack in it. Now to give carmax credit, they did get that problem.Taken care of they replaced the entire windshield. The car was also missing all four valve stem caps. Does summit all up my first and last car buying experience with carmax was an utter failure. The only reason I left with this car is because of myself. Pride, because I was telling everyone I was buying this car, and I had to deal wrapped up.That's the sole reason that I bought this car. I'm pretty sure that ramsey and his entire sales team mayfield, as if they got one over me by selling me this car at the non negotiated price that I wanted online and then me still buying a car after the whole entire bad experience.
