Solid dinning experience that checks all the boxes. Lovely setting, delicious food, great service, ok prices. Bottom line if your looking for something a little different than 90% of the predicable we get in Dallas...Go! I have driven past Zon Zon many times with the intention to investigate. Outta sight outta mind until a few days ago, it popped up on my Yelp feed. Perusing the reviews left me curious enough to set out for a late lunch early diner. After sleeping on it a couple of days,I've curated my review so you know better what to expect. I often do " homework" before visiting an unfamiliar restaurant in an attempt to wittle down my choices as well as determining the suitability. On the surface it bills itself as Mediterranean. However,my Hanger Steak Shawarma Frites weren't quite as billed. It didn't resemble the photos I had seen other diners post. Don't get me wrong,it was good but not delicious. The lamb Kofta Kabobs were tasty and beautifully plated. The accompanying salad very good. In my opinion the best thing we had were the lamb cigars. Moroccan spiced ground lamb wrapped in phylo and fried. Served with accompanying sauce. Excellent. Drinks were good but I had a pricing issue in the way they charged. Unessessary and added additional cost? The desert was good but over priced. Even though we had an early dinner,by the time we left I would have expected more patrons. Especially since it was Friday afternoon. My feeling is they are struggling due to a few obvious issues that are easily solved. Out the door this meal was just at $200. A little high and doesn't make me want to rush back. Too bad because I really like the place.

Salmon dish

I came here for dinner with a friend and had a great experience. Upon entry, staff were welcoming and friendly, and they seated us quickly. I ordered the salmon dish and it was delicious, cooked to perfection. I also tried their version of a margarita and it was really good. My friend ordered the skewers and she enjoyed her meal. The food was fresh, the atmosphere is nice and we both had a great experienced. I'll definitely be back to dine here again.

Kibbeh and Classic Hummus
Brittuhknee D.

My husband and I returned to Zon-Zon for a second time and this visit was even better than the first. We started with Kibbeh and the Classic Hummus, which was served with bread. Zon-Zon may just have the best damn hummus in Addison. I also appreciated their take on Kibbeh. Unlike the traditional finger food version, this one was served on a plate with pomegrante arils, which added a hint of sweetness. It was perfect. Afterwards, I ordered the salmon, which was flavorful and served with a medley of carrots. My husband ordered the burger and loved it too. The staff is very attentive and each time they have made our visits feel as if we're visiting friends. I can't wait to return.

Zon Zon is a beautiful Mediterranean restaurant in Addison with elevated dishes and exemplary service. On my visit, the food exceeded my expectations. While the food was incredible, the restaurant wasn't full. Not sure why, but I hope more people discover Zon Zon. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Located in Addison, upon entering your eyes will be drawn to their beautiful bar. The walls are dark green and decorated with various gold features. The booths are very comfortable. The only thing that seemed a little off was I only noticed one other party when I was there which led to an emptiness feeling. 1/2 Star. Service - Since we were one of the few patrons, we were rewarded with exemplary service. The staff was very kind a patient, allowing us to dine at our own pace. And the manager even checked on us several times. The end result was that we received personal attention on our visit. 1 Star. Food - We started with the Crispy Cauliflower. This amazing dish begins with a turmeric yellow cauliflower head that had a hearty bite that sat in a bed of tangy tahini and parmesan. Mediterranean through and through my main dish was the Steak Shawarma Frites. The super tender steak was topped with Za'atar chimichurri. This easily transformed my steak bite into another Mediterranean adventure. The perfectly fried house fries soaked up these flavors and continued to remind me of my steak long after I had devoured it. 1 1/2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. In fact, I hope more people discover Zon Zon. While my dishes were delicious and the service was amazing, I couldn't help but to think there should be more patrons. Hopefully more Yelpers will discover Zon Zon just like I did. 1 Star.

This was a really great, new Mediterranean spot. When you first walk in the interior is beautiful, love all the dark green accent. We chose to sit in the outdoor area towards the back. The food was delicious. Each dish was seasoned well and tasted very fresh. Note the flavor profile is strong, not a light meal. We especially loved the cauliflower and steak frites, just so well done. Would definitely return!

The hummus with filet was delicious. The hummus itself could have used more lemon and salt. The ginger beer mocktail was the most flavorful, but the other mocktails were boring. The salmon had a wonderful crust on it and the roasted vegetables were cooked great. The half chicken was tender and juicy. The pomegranate jus was slightly sweet, yet still savory. The whipped potatoes were flavored well with lemon. The fries were nice and crispy as well. The waiter really knew a lot about the menu which was great. He also boxed up our food at the end which is always appreciated and wiped down the table before our dessert came. The ambiance inside is lovely.

Lamb cigar

I heard about this establishment on social media and decided to check it out for happy hour. It was well worth it. The customer service and food were both amazing. I ordered the chicken shish kebobs. I also got the lamb cigar and rosé wine off the happy hour menu. Everything was great. My server and the host were both excellent, very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was clean and has a very beautiful setting. Plenty of parking. I will be back!

I really, really enjoyed this meal. It's a new spot, and I'll admit Mediterranean isn't usually my go-to, but the location alone convinced me. It's right next to the Body Rock I go to, so it felt like the perfect excuse to try something new. Everything about the experience was genuinely impressive. The service was fantastic. David was our server, and the manager stopped by multiple times to check on us, which felt attentive without being overbearing. We ordered almost the entire menu, and they were incredibly accommodating. I asked if they could bring out the meat pie from the happy hour menu, and they happily checked with the kitchen and made it happen. That level of flexibility goes a long way. For a newly opened space, they were surprisingly polished. Tables were cleared quickly, service was organized, and everything ran smoothly. The space itself is beautiful too. Stylish decor, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and a really inviting atmosphere. It was a bit quiet when we went, maybe around ten people total, which honestly felt undeserved given how good everything was. As someone who doesn't usually gravitate toward this cuisine, I was pleasantly surprised across the board. Standouts included the rice and salads, both fresh and flavorful. The baba ganoush with bread was excellent, easily one of my favorites. The potatoes had a bit of a kick but were still delicious. There wasn't a single dish I regretted ordering. The food does lean heavier, especially with the bread and meat, but that's expected. I'd recommend going for both an appetizer and a main to really get the full experience. Overall, a great meal, great service, and a place that deserves a lot more attention. Hopefully this nudges a few more people to check it out.

I met a friend and Zon Zon for drinks and mezze. The best word to describe this place is flavor! Every bite of everting we tried had so much intense flavor. It's a foodie paradise! The cauliflower was cooked perfectly. The hummus was incredibly smooth. The potatoes were crunchy. The rosemary sunset spritz was good enough to try twice. I love the atmosphere and friendly service. It's an aesthetically pleasing restaurant full of good vibes.

Celebrated my birthday here with a friend of mine. This restaurant is truly beautiful inside and the vibe of the place is super cool. I love all the different portraits on the wall and decorations. The staff is also very kind and friendly. I ordered spicy drink and chicken kabob plate while visiting this place and we ordered an egg plant appetizer. The drinks and the food options were truly amazing. The only minor comment is that service was a bit slow and took a long time for our food to arrive however other than that the experience was amazing. They also surprised me with a delicious birthday dessert which was truly kind. I highly recommend this restaurant.

If I could give 6 stars I would, and I've got highhh standards. Tonight was my first time eating here and it absolutely blew me away. Ambiance is on point, service was top notch, and the food was outstanding. I can't wait to dine in again. Ask for Jared and Armon!

10/10 amazing

What took me to long to find this place? What a GEM of a restaurant. What stood out was the flavors of everything. Think your favorite margarita with a smoked pineapple. The lamb with pomegranate was amazing. My only regret was that we only had two people- we need to come back with more friends so we can share more dishes. Also to note- super cute patio, great, friendly service, and reasonable prices. 10/10 absolutely will be back!

The Highlights: -Atmosphere & Seating: It was a lovely evening, so we chose to sit outside on the patio, which had a great energy for a birthday setup. -Service: Salma was our waitress and she was super attentive! Saturday nights are clearly bustling, so as the evening went on, drinks took longer to come out, but I really appreciated her hustle and efforts to keep up with all her tables. -Shrimp Fajita Salad: The shrimp were large, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor. While the salad portion itself felt a bit small, the quality of the vegetables and shrimp made up for it. Where They Fell Short: -The Waiting Area: Inside, the air conditioning vents were dripping noticeable condensation. I pointed it out to the hostess, but it didn't seem to be a concern for them. Dodging ceiling drips while waiting wasn't a great start to the night. -Food & Drinks: I ordered a frozen margarita, but by the time it arrived, it was already half-melted--either left sitting at the bar too long or blended with too much liquid. My friend got the queso dip, which had a fun and unique presentation, but the texture was way too runny for my taste. Pro-Tips Before You Go: -Reservations are a must: If you don't book ahead, expect a wait time of an hour or more. -Parking: Finding a spot can be nearly impossible--the lot was completely full when I arrived, so budget extra time to find parking. -Budget: Keep in mind that Vidorra is on the pricier side.

Love the art deco mermaid pins the female staff wore, plus other unique thought out accoutrements. We like to share plates and loved everything we had! The oysters, burrata, smoked clam chowder, yellowtail curd, smoked salmon dip with homemade potato chips, and the fried cod, frites and Cole slaw. Everything was expertly hand crafted (cocktails), and the food expertly prepared so our high praise and compliments to the Chef, Sous, Cooks, Servers, Hostess and Restaurant Manager, who did stop by and check on us. The day I visited it was calm and quiet. Service was good no complaints. Waitress was pleasant and helpful. Food was pretty good. I would probably order wings and pizza next time. Seems better for bar type food. However, I had to try the lobster garlic noodles my friend recommended and raved about. These noodles definitely have potential. I love the strong garlic flavor. I appreciated the big chunks of lobster. The mushrooms were a perfect addition. I just wished for another flavor with the garlic. Like some sweet chili sauce for a little bit of sweetness and spice would be a game changer. I will say the next day when I heated up my leftovers the flavor was even better. I still think it could use a little heat and splash of sweetness. The presentation was good and the food looked appetizing. The dessert wasn't bad decent for a sports bar. I enjoyed the presentation. The ice cream was delicious and the cake was ok. The pink dragon was tasty and once again I liked the presentation. It was a good cocktail choice on the menu.
