This was my first time visiting Nuri, having received recommendations and heard it was one of the best steakhouses in town with a Korean influence with it I wanted to try it out. Walking in very beautiful interior with a nice ambiance and perfect sounding music, front of house staff nice and attentive and able to direct me to my table. Table selection not the best for two funny shaped tables where you are far away from your date or facing a funny angle not quite towards your date. Drinks I had the pistachio old fashioned which looked nice in the glass where you could taste the pistachio but the drink fell flat because you could barely taste whiskey which was more like a diluted whiskey and ice, so I ordered no more cocktails Food: We received complimentary bread and butter which were both yummy and full of flavor, asked for more with our main meal but never received it. Appetizer we had the truffle wagyu dumplings which were easily the star of the night beating out all other sides and entrees, mine as well make an entree out of this because it was very tasty and wish they gave us spoons to finish the sauce as well! Entrees we ordered the prime ribeye 16oz which looked amazing, perfectly cut and juicy but the real problem wasn't seasoned properly. The steak had minimal seasoning on the outside and no seasoning in the inside which made me more sad every bite. I had to break a cardinal rule with steak and tell my waiter that my steak was bland and had to order a steak sauce to make it better which he seemed to not question why my steak was bland. The sides we ordered two, and both highly recommended by the waiters, the kimchi rice which looked great but fell flat because the rice was not mixed so half red with spice and half white with no spices, over cooked and dry and had a nice spice flavor with it but again not seasoned with salt. The Maque Choux Corn cheese also looked amazing and tasted petty good but just didn't seem to fit with the meals but I used to with my steak to add for flavor. Finishing off the food was dessert with the lemon cheesecake mont blanc, looked great and stylish but the ganache couldn't taste the raspberry on top and the lemon came through in the cheese cake. Issues were the cake was dense and dry, been sitting in the fridge too long and we couldn't finish it. Wait staff was nice and attentive with drinks and bringing out foods but not asking what we thought about each food brought to our table because it made me frustrated that most of the high recommended options on the table had problems. I want to love a good high end steakhouse/restaurant and come back often, but this one was a struggle for me especially when you spend over 350$ and they can't season a steak and most of the other foods are not checked for seasoning, and overcooked by their chefs. I hope the staff reads the reviews because I didn't see responses in yelp or google, I hope nuri can pick up the momentum again read more

The paradiso drink from customs speakeasy bar closed and is now here as the emerald palm. I followed the bartenders from Instagram to their new location since I was obsessed with their drink. But nothing outstanding. - 36oz Tomahawk: we asked for it to be prepared medium rare and medium rare it arrived. Fantastic steak with quite a few accompaniments like kimchi, samjhang, peppercorn sauce and a few other things. Delicious, but severely overpriced at $300. - 10oz filet: not as tender as I'd have expected. Still good. - lobster mac and cheese: brother in law was a fan and said it was better than all other places he'd had this before. - Brussels sprouts: solid Dessert: hummingbird cake: think a banana bread or carrot cake. It was alright. Wouldn't have again Service was good. Nothing memorable. Ambience: definitely a take on modernistic majesticism. Would I visit again: probably not. Why? Despite the food being great, It cost $700 for 5 people. And gratuity was automatically included for a party of 5 which was not large at all. People should undeniably tip. I visited Nuri Steakhouse recently and had a strong overall experience with a few minor misses. Started with the "Yo, Ichigo!" cocktail a bright, refreshing, and a great way to kick things off. The miso butter with milk bread was simple but excellent, with great texture and flavor. The caviar service (Supreme) was delicious and well-executed. The steak tartare offered in both East and West styles was a highlight, with the East version standing out slightly for its depth of flavor. The gumbo, presented in both Korean and New Orleans styles, was a unique touch and very well done. The 8oz filet was cooked perfectly and exactly what you expect at this level. Sides of brussels sprouts and cheese corn were both very good, with the corn being especially satisfying. Service was good overall our waiter was knowledgeable and professional without being pretentious. That said, my water glass did run dry twice, which is something I personally pay attention to at this price point. For dessert we had the pecan pie with ice cream which was solid but not particularly memorable compared to the rest of the meal. Overall, Nuri delivers on its concept with thoughtful dishes and strong execution. I could spend 30 minutes writing this review because of how incredible and excellent service was, but I"ll try to keep it short and sweet. I heard Blackpink came here when they visited Dallas for their tour a few years ago, so I've been wanting to try ever since then! I let them know that we were celebrating a friend's accomplishment, and they truly went above and beyond. It almost felt like it was their friend with how wonderfully they treated us the entire meal. Service was legit probably the best I've ever experienced in Texas at any establishment, and they deserve 5 stars solely for their thoughtfulness and sincerity. Oh man Nuri is expensive... good but EXPENSIVE! The 36oz Tomahawk was $300! It was delicious but that's one pricey steak! FYI, don't get the extra sauce pairing, that's just a waste. The bar staff were also incredibly friendly and provided great service throughout the evening. What left a bad impression was the interaction at the host stand. Nuri has a dress code, which is completely fine. We arrived in athletic shirts and jean shorts, and were told we would need to sit in either the lounge or at the bar. No problem. As I was looking around the lounge area to see where we might sit and how the seating was set up, the hostess immediately repeated that we could sit in the lounge or at the bar and that both were full-service. The issue is that I wasn't questioning the policy or arguing about where we were seated--I was literally just looking around and deciding which option made the most sense. The interaction came across as unnecessarily curt and felt like I was being treated as if I was about to cause a problem when I had already accepted the seating arrangement. First impressions matter, and it made the welcome feel far less hospitable than it should have. We were seated immediately and received outstanding service from our waiter (I believe his name was Juan). We ordered appetizers for the table - broiled oysters rockefeller, ora king salmon crudo, and beet and arugula salad. The oysters were delicious and thoroughly cleaned (no grit whatsoever)! The crudo boasted amazing flavors of citrus and the salmon was fresh! I'm not a huge fan of beets but did enjoy this refreshing salad. For drinks, I ordered the Yo, Ichigo made with the house rum (instead of tequila) and later glass of wine - pinot gris. I did enjoy these and they went well with our food. For the main, I ordered the ora king salmon (medium) and kimchi fried rice (for the table). The salmon was perfectly cooked and had the most amazing crispy skin! My only complaint was the spice level of the kimchi fried rice. The flavors were there but I couldn't eat the dish without drinking water after the bites I took (I love eating Korean food but wasn't expecting that spice level at a restaurant without having to ask for it). We did order the soy butter rice and wild mushrooms instead and enjoyed it. We ended with a dessert - hummingbird cake - and both enjoyed it. It's a big enough slice to share and have some leftover! Some tips: Keep the Truffle Sauce from the dumplings for the brioche bread, such a good pairing. Use the ponzu covered sliced onions from the salmon crudo with a bite of the truffle dumplings, the sourness cuts the savory dumpling so well. The 16oz Ribeye classic was amazing and cooked at exactly the right temperature which is a green flag for a steakhouse, although I did expect more flavor to be brought out from it Our waiter Marlon was absolutely superb. Reservations are a must or you will not get a seat, even the bar was full of those waiting for their tables. We made a rez for the "event" space a.k.a. the covered patio. Being that it was December and in the low 30s we were skeptical but the thick plastic draped walls and roof heaters made it very cozy inside. But the winner was the live jazz music - it was stellar! We started with cocktails. The Yo, Ichigo! for me and the Nuri Old Fashioned for my hubby. The presentation for both were very unique and they tasted incredible! The Asian Wagyu Spring Rolls were our starter and they were surprisingly wonderful. While appearing simple, the flavors were delectable and left us definitely wanting more. Our eyes were clearly bigger than our stomachs when we ordered our entrees and accompaniments. + Ora King Salmon - I've had my fair share of salmon and this stood amongst the best. I ate the entire dish with a spoon it was so tender and tasty. I didn't expect the celery root puree to have much taste, but it really was yummy. And the portion was filling. + 8oz filet from the TX Akaushi Heartbrand Reserve Menu - cooked perfectly and the taste - wow! I am not a steak person. Yes, I enjoy it, but don't find it particularly special. The bite I tried of my hubby's filet was the best I've tasted in a long, long time. + Kimchi Fried Rice - yes! This yummy dish reminded me of our favorite Spicy Double Egg Fried Rice from The Henry. The spice and flavors were so well balanced. We went to Nuri for the Chinese New Year event to see the dragon dance. The dance was amazing and made the whole experience a fun time. The restaurant is located in a business looking building with valet that you enter from right across of Uchi. The service was amazing the entire time we were there. Definitely has an elegant atmosphere and they do have a dress code. Our event had a prefix menu which included - fried cauliflower, oyster, hamachi crudo, truffle wagyu dumplings, japchae spaetzie, choice of entree which I chose the 8oz filet, kimchi fried rice, Brussel sprouts, and strawberry cheesecake. Overall had a good evening with the service and the dragon dance show but will probably not make it back for another visit just for the food. Fried cauliflower was 7/10 - had a good flavor to it with the sauce Oyster - 7/10 the oyster was fresh with tomato and micro greens Hamachi crudo 1/10 - none of the people in our table liked this one. The sauce did not pair well at all with the dish Truffle waguy dumplings 10/10 - very rich truffle flavor and a great filling. We loved this dish the most Japchae Spaetzie 3/10 - this came out fried and there were almost no veggies in the dish. I was looking forward to the veggies but I don't eat fried food 8 oz filet 5/10 - they said they cook the outside a bit charred but it was charred enough to impact the flavor and the steak was too salty. I wish Yelp let us do have stars because then I'd be able to give a 4.5 rating. We came here to celebrate our anniversary and had an absolutely amazing experience. Every single staff member we came in contact with was so nice and friendly. From the hostess, to the wait staff, to management. Shout out to John who was our server. He was helpful with suggestions, and checked in on us in a way that still allowed us to enjoy an intimate dinner. The ambience is amazing and I loved that there was enough light to read the menu while still keeping the romantic/mood lighting that allows for an intimate experience. Almost everything we had was absolutely delicious. The bread is dusted with salt that gives it a little punch of flavor. We ordered the Flash Fired Spanish Octopus. The octopus was tender and the braised white radish was melt in your mouth! I would eat an entire bowl of just that and be happy. I'm still thinking about it. The Wagu Tartare Two Ways was delicious - we enjoyed the West rendition more than the East. The East has a hint of sweetness that was good, but the capers and anchovies of the West was perfection. The steak was cooked perfectly and absolutely tender, seasoned just right. The mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts were my favorite of the sides. The Lobster K Mac was good, but not my personal favorite. The only thing we ordered that we did not enjoy was the creme brulee. While the texture was good, it tasted too eggy. Almost like over cooked flan, which is not a good taste. It might have been a one off but we did not enjoy it. That being said, you could taste the subtle hint of Earl Grey tea that it was infused with. Highly recommend this place. We dined at Nuri Steakhouse in Dallas last night to celebrate a belated Mother's Day, and unfortunately, it was a major letdown, especially for a restaurant ranked among the World's 101 Best Steak Restaurants. Having enjoyed their sister restaurant several times, we came in with high expectations, but left disappointed. To start, even the water was underwhelming. It was served neither chilled nor with ice, and it tasted like it had been sitting out too long. I had planned to break a 30-day fast from alcohol with a celebratory cocktail, but that excitement quickly faded. The truffle wagyu dumplings arrived lukewarm at best. The wrapper was soggy, undercooked, and had a floury texture. I asked the food runner if they were fully cooked, and he assured me they were--but the texture said otherwise. The yellowtail crudo was completely overpowered by a thick piece of shiso, which wrapped around a very thin slice of yellowtail. I enjoy shiso with sashimi, but the ratio here threw the dish off balance. The filets and ribeye were a highlight. They were cooked well. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal did not follow suit. The prawn pad Thai had a powdery feel. The dish was bland and lacked any depth of flavor. Even the prawns couldn't save it. The lobster K-mac was watery and barely had any lobster. It should never have left the kitchen. The mashed potatoes were fine, but again, served not to temperature. We won't talk about the cheesecake. To top it off, our server was not particularly warm or knowledgeable about the menu, which only added to our disappointment. While he was able to talk about the specials, anything beyond that seemed inconsistent. He also spilled some water on my son-in-law and did not even notice it, which could explain why he also had an empty glass of water for over 40 minutes. For a restaurant of this caliber, we expected a more polished and attentive level of service. Also, given the hype and the price point, it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect the food to be served at the proper temperature. Sadly, this experience fell short of the restaurant's reputation, and our family of six will not be returning. read more

The parking is valet, which is convenient, and there are plenty of great spots for taking photos and videos. We had several delicious items from the apps to the dessert. The crab cake was filled with lump crabmeat and was hardly any breading. I felt it could've been served with a nicer tasting aioli sauce, the crudo was good but I've had much better. They Nola gumbo was mentioned to be good and it was a nice size serving. Salads were freshly made and plentiful. Dumplings were also very tasty. Complimentary bread was delivered a bit under suggestive temperatures and nothing amazing about it , however we did ask for more because the serving size would accommodate two to three people and it was ten of us. Entrees were truly delicious. Ribeye steak was cooked to perfection with very little marble and tons of flavor. Branzino was some of the best I've had in a while. Seabass was superb. My friends and I couldn't decide which was better. Salmon was good but not the star, as the other fish entrees. There wasn't a side that we didn't order and I'm here to tell you that the sides complimented immensely and elevated the entrees. The lobster Mac has plenty nice chunks of protein, the Brussels sprouts were charred and flavorful, the masque corn was delicious, the whipped potatoes tasted like scratch home style. You cannot go wrong with dining here. We were expecting a ridiculous bill and surprisingly enough, it was below our expectations so that was a plus. Went here with my family to celebrate. The staff was wonderful and the service was great. Our server was Jasmine (could have been Jazlyn). We had attention from the sommelier and discovered two new wines. I had the Nuri tasting board that was a sampler of four of their steaks. So so good. I also had the grilled okra. Again, really good. We had creamy mussels, crab cakes, Yukon potatoes and their incredible rolls. All was so good. The only thing I noticed was that they didn't have high chairs - my 14 month old grandson joined the celebration. I don't ding them for it. Children may not be Nuri's ideal customer. Hands down the best steakhouse in Dallas! Everything was perfect. We celebrated my parents anniversary and my husband's bday. Nuri went out of their way to make it a special night for my family. The steak and the side dishes were excellent. The saam jang went perfectly with tomahawk steak. What brought tears to my parents were the custom abalone plates that came with the dessert. We are immigrant family from Korea and we brought the exact same abalone design furniture with us when we came to the states. It's these attention to details that make it special for clients. Nuri Steakhouse is an upscale steakhouse with Korean influences located in the heart of Dallas. The restaurant is absolutely stunning and is one of the beautiful places I've eaten at. Combined with exemplary service, it ended up being a dining experience I'll remember for a long time. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Nuri Steakhouse is located in Uptown Dallas. Inside was one of the most opulent restaurants I've ever been to. The bar and dining area were separated by an open wall as my eyes were drawn to the immaculate light fixtures above. Plenty of pretty Dallasites dine here, blending into the Asian\New Orleans themed restaurant perfectly. This is a place to visit to enjoy food and drinks, atmosphere, and people watch. 1 Star. Service - The Executive Chef is from a Michelin Star restaurant in Korea, and I've seen all 3 seasons of The Bear to know how much attention the front of the house pays to its guests. It's not good service, it's a great experience. Our servers were experts on the menu, remembered our names, and were efficient in preparing our table settings between courses. 1 Star. Food - Imagine Korean and Texas Southern Hospitality had a love child conceived in New Orleans - that's the menu at Nuri Steakhouse. The dishes are creative and delicious. My dinner began with Wagyu Dumplings. The succulent dumplings were filled with a mixture of Texas Wagyu, pork, & truffle, and waded in a creamy herb sauce. The mixture was so tender and mild, and with a small dip in the herb sauce the bite melts in your mouth. For the main, I chose the Nuri Tasting Board. This was the star of the evening, served in a beautiful box with samples of Australian and Texas Wagyu, Korean marinated short rib, Korean kim chi, and assorted dipping sauce. The steak was tender and succulent, and the Nuri Tasting Board is a perfect item to share if you want a good sense of Nuri's flavors. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. This is a true steakhouse, while I only tried the Nuri Tasting Board, Nuri offers American, Australian, and Japanese Wagyu by the oz. There are also traditional steaks too. Everything we've had at Nuri has been absolutely delicious. We have been here twice and have had wonderful meals each time. We've had Ed as our server twice and both times he's made our experience even more wonderful. He provides quick service and was so thoughtful with making sure our anniversary dinner celebration was memorable! Not to mention the dining room and bar are beautiful and elegant. Let me start by saying everything outside of the steak was good. The steak was severely ubdercookedand full of fat. I still can't believe how much I paid for this meal. The beverages and appetizers were good. The dumplings are fantastic. The sauce is great. The crab cake was top notch. It is overpriced though for what you get. The bartender and water were quite rude. The steak was a 1/10. I'd give the restaurant a lower review but everything was good minus the steak. It is a steak house afterall. I won't go back. I took my partner here to celebrate his birthday, and we loved every bite! The romantic lighting and comfortable booth set the birthday vibes off Our server Eric was so kind and made our experience comfortable and fun. My overall impression of Nuri is 3.5 stars. Nuri is a beautiful restaurant (steakhouse/Japanese fusion). The ambiance is lovely and the service received was top notch. The Jade Terrace is "outdoor" seating if they raise the partitions on a nice day - and it's away from the hustle and bustle of the interior dining area, if you'd like something a little more intimate. There's an extensive wine selection as well as craft made cocktails. I opted for the "Hot For Peaches" cocktail, which was sweet & spicy and quite tasty! Their cocktails are pricey, though, at $21 each! The complimentary bread and miso butter is really good!! I ordered the wagyu dumplings for an appetizer and was pleased. Loved the truffle! A little too much sauce, but otherwise a really good app. I also had the chicken & andouille gumbo...this was decent, but too salty. I wouldn't order it again. Ordered the 10oz prime filet, medium-well, but it came out medium RARE. The server kindly took it back to be cooked to my liking. When it came back, it still wasn't cooked properly, but I didn't want to fuss about it so I left it alone. *The manager did come out and apologize for the steak and comped it, which was nice and not expected* Sides are a la carte and served family style, so each person in the group I was with ordered one side, and we shared. --Buttermilk mashed potatoes - these were good, nothing special. --Fried Brussels - not a pretty presentation, but very tasty! Would order again. --Maque Choux Corn Cheese - this was interesting, but good and a little spicy. Almost like a cheesy corn soup. --Spicy Rice Au Gratin - this is a HELL NO for me and the other 4 people at the table. It was also a no from my fiancé (whom I took the leftovers to). The texture was weird and the flavor was odd. --Broccolini w/ Szechuan sauce - nothing fancy, but it was tasty :) Dessert --Strawberry shortcake - pretty good, nothing mind blowing. Lovely plating. --Earl Grey Crème Brûlée - loved the flavor of this, again, not memorable enough for me to come back for more. All-in-all, I enjoyed Nuri, however I've definitely had better food at other upscale steakhouses, so I wouldn't really make it a point to return here any time soon. My wife and I visited Nuri for my birthday and had a great experience. However, it was not perfect, and I wish I could give it a 4.5 out of 5 instead of 5. First and foremost, the interior of the restaurant is beautiful. The midcentury vibe and dark lighting really set the mood. It feels romantic and luxurious. On ambiance alone, Nuri is exceptional. The patio, however, does leave something to be desired given all the construction happening nearby. I recommend sitting inside until that is complete. The service was also terrific. Despite various opportunities for the staff to make a mistake or be less than great, they were responded perfectly every time. First, we asked to be seated inside after initially reserving a patio seat for jazz. They didn't bat an eye and gave us a very nice table. Towards the end of dinner, my wife asked if we could take some of their incredibly delicious bread home. It would have been more than reasonable to say "no, sorry." Instead, our server said "maybe" and delivered. This was consistent with her performance throughout the meal. Finally, when we informed the staff that a soup was bad, it was comped. Which segues into the food. It was often great, sometimes just "good," with one dish being bad. The aforementioned soup was one of the 2 soups they offer. The Korean soup was amazing. Literally one of the best soups I've had. The New Orleans style one was bad. I think someone made a mistake in the kitchen rather the recipe itself being bad, which is why we told them and why it was comped. My lamb rack was good for the most part but tasted off on a couple of bites. We also had the octopus and the Emperor's Palate, which were above average in quality. Nuri is a great new concept and was very impressive in a lot of ways. The wine list is gigantic, the decor wows, and the service 5/5. But I get the impression there's some confusion in the kitchen. They're relatively new and may be working some things out. I plan on going back regardless. You should check it out too. read more

I'm always a bit skeptical of the new flashy uptown restaurants and was so pleasantly surprised. Many places focus on pretty decor while lacking for the service and food. This is where Nuri stood out. The service, starting with the hostesses is phenomenal. Our waiter on both visits are super attentive and knowledgeable. The food was flavorful while giving a unique twist on some classic favorites (def try the fried rice). While expensive, I felt that the food and experience matched the cost, which is often not the case. Will return for a third visit soon! read more

One of the best meals we've had in a long time My fiancé and I went tonight and it was easily one of the best dining experiences we've had in a while. We're from Las Vegas, so we're used to high standards when it comes to food and service, but this place completely impressed us. Our server Jerome was incredible. He shared his favorites from the menu and every single one was spot on. Loved the 50's vibe and Korean fusion, so cool. We started with the yellowtail, the dumplings in mushroom sauce, and the crab cake. The crab cake had the most amazing gochujang crust, the dumplings were rich and flavorful, and the yellowtail was perfectly light and refreshing. We shared the New York Strip with mashed potatoes and Chinese broccoli. It was cooked medium and seasoned perfectly, no extra salt needed. For dessert Jerome recommended the pecan pie and hummingbird cake, both delicious and worth taking home. Jerome truly made the night and we're already planning to come back tomorrow. read more
