Just ran 3 speedtests for an internet connection that says I'm supposed to get up to 50Mb/s download and 20Mb/s upload. The average of all three is 3.8Mb/s download and 4.3Mb/s upload. This is at a cost of $149 a month and this is what is encountered on a nearly daily basis. Does Zochnet give any credit to customers on bills for outages? Not even once in the five years we've had it. Does Zochnet give any credit to customers for never meeting what they advertise as their upload/download speeds? Never once in the five years we've had it. Does Zochnet notify anyone on their website when there's an internet problem? Not anywhere that I've ever seen in five years of trying. Although two years ago there was an actual message on their phone. read more

I just called to talk to a customer service representative. Her name was Cari, and she was extremely rude. I haven't had wifi for my home since yesterday at 3pm. As i was trying to explain that to her as well as ask her when it was going to get it fixed , she was extremely snappy and rude to me. I was trying to inform her that I had been compensated for it being down before , and that I have a bill that shows that, but instead of letting me talk she continued to cut me off over and over again, saying "they never compensate". I will be transferring services, this experience was horrible. She shouldn't have a customer service job. As a company this shouldn't be who y'all have talking to customers! read more

In the beginning they jumped through hoops to get you set up and running. Now, not so much. Speeds get slower and slower to the point that watching a movie or show in the evening is almost useless. Speeds are totally inconsistent ranging from 4 bps to 32 bps, was told I'd have at least 50. Changing to skyline, two neighbors have already and love it. The only thing about this is company is unreliability. You can count on the internet will be out everyday for 2 or 3 hours everyday and at least be out for 24hours one a month. Could not recommend this company. Extremely poor service is the best i can say about this isp. read more

Their service seems a little sketchy. It will be perfectly fine with no issue for a couple weeks and magically become unusable for a couple weeks as almost on schedule. Funny thing is if you call them when it is bad, it magically becomes decent again for a couple weeks but falls back into the same pattern. I've also experienced what might be throttling (have no hard proof of it). There was an extended period of time where the internet service would have a high percentage of packet loss and ping spikes all throughout the day, but would instantly become perfect at midnight on the dot every night. I have called about this and they insist that the amount of customers online at a time has zero effect on your service. If you are just using it for streaming movies or your everyday internet surfing it will be fine. However if you need it for school, testing, or gaming, I would look elsewhere for a more stable provider. This is their wireless service so I am not expecting it to be perfect, but since I have seen how good it can be at times, it's very frustrating to have extended periods of time where it's sucks. read more

We live in a rural community and reliable internet has been a challenge. My husband's office uses this company and he has been pleased. It's line of site so we knew it wouldn't be super high speed but anything would be better than what we had and we were right. They are a small company and in demand, so it takes awhile to get an appointment for site evaluation but it was worth it for us. We cut the cable cord years ago, so we refuse to do dish in case that's what you were wondering. read more

Man.....I started with them last year after having satellite. I had some problems but they worked them out; however, here lately it has been horrible. 2 days now with no connection in Paige. Sent a few emails and .....crickets....My ONLY options are satellite and them (as far as I know). I hope an affordable competitor comes in soon. You can have reliable and affordable internet in 3rd world countries and somehow out here in the USA if you are out in the country you are screwed. I really used to like them at 1st but I think I am one step away from just canceling. read more

I'm giving only one just so I can give this service and staffing a thumb down !!! We try over and over to let this money pit know the service was in and out all times and all weather . When we said we were tired of poor quality service my wife and I were lied too and told that thay reserve the right to refuse to us, after we/ my wife told them to get their equipment of our land!!! I've had Zocnet out in the country for 5 months. Impeccable service, high speed. Low to no buffering on Live stream. Very good!

I am SOOOO glad to be cancelling my account with Zochnet today as I'm moving out of the area. They couldn't help but gouge me one final time saying they don't prorate their service, so I'll be paying for all of June and leaving on the 7th. The most UNRELIABLE internet ever! Goes down at least twice a day if I'm lucky. Always seems to go down on a Friday night and no weekend service, so I spent most weekends without internet. Major problems take 2 weeks or longer to fix, and of course they won't prorate their service when the internet is down for 2 whole weeks! Avoid at all costs!! read more

This is the worst internet company I have ever seen. I live in the Commons apartments in Cameron, Tx. There are two options available here. Zochnet and Att. I went with zochnet because I knew my stay in Cameron was temporary. I just didnt know exactly how long. Anyway, I have lived here for 10 months. Each day, at least once. May be 5 times a day it just varies, but the internet service goes out. May ne for 30 seconds may be for 10 minutes. Of course I have written complaints. I have called also. They always say we fixed the problem. Well apparently not because I've had the same problems with outages the entire 10 months. In fact I'm writing this complaint using phone data because my internet service is out at this moment. I pay this company $65 per month for internet only. Their service and their repair is ridiculous. I would give tbis company 1/4 of 1 star if yelp permitted. If you live in Cameron or move here I advise you to choose a more reliable internet provider. Zochnet, you have gotten your last $65 from me. Your customer service and internet service ain't worth a dime. read more

At this point it's cheaper and more reliable to pay data overages to my barely connected AT&T service plan. We live in Blue, the service is AWEFUL, like can't even jump on Facebook after 5:pm unless you cut the WiFi on your phone off. I've had techs out multiple times, replaced multi parts, spent hundreds of dollars on my computer because the problem was on my end, they told me, and it's still not better. I work from home but it's faster to drive to Elgin, setup my computer at a restaurant with free WiFi and upload my photos for work, then drive home vs trying to upload them on this dang WiFi. I've heard multiple times from multiple people that the towers are overloaded, just tired of paying an arm and a leg for Internet we can't use. Just use your phones data plan, you'd be better off. read more

Three times we were without internet for 2 weeks each and the last time it was discovered that water was in the line! i believe we were hooked up with phone line and over time when it would rain, we would lose service! I had to get ugly with them this last time and they finally sent 2 guys out to replace the line! We are going satelite soon! read more

As Reveille Cable and Wifi customers we inherited Zochnet when they bought Reveille's customer base. Zochnet was not financial capable of continuing the cable tv service, but they have continued to provide WiFi at a fee of $56/month. The wifi itself is poor/intermittent. Customer service can be pleasant in terms of the interactions, but the actual service is not there and one must get upset or aggressive or as Chuck B's review says, "ugly" to get any results. They are clearly understaffed and running a shoestring operation. Cathy is unprofessional and belligerent in her defense of their unkept promises, contradictory explanations, over-scheduling and broken appointments. read more

Absolutely the worst of the worst ISP I have seen in my entire existance on this planet. These people won't answer the phone, don't work weekends and it's like pulling teeth to get service restored. He has a "No Contract" service......Go figure. In any event, the days you don't have internet with this company, they charge you for every day anyhow, no pro-rate.Then around the 1st of the year, it was announced that they would be charging for service calls. Huh?? No contract, but wants to charge for service calls b/c of HIS junky equipment??? I saw a remark that ZockNet had sold his customers, HOW could he have done that? Technically he has no customers b/c he has no contracts. When they do come to your home, they try to track up your floors with mud, grass, etc...Ya gotta tell these guys to cut it out and take their shoes off. Don't reccomend them, was a customer for 3 years, we'd had enough. Avoid them like the plague. read more

My internet with Zochnet was at dial-up speeds. My wife called them on Friday and they said they'd be out Tuesday. My wife called them Tuesday and they said they were coming. NO SHOW without even a courtesy call. Four hours of my life I'll never get back. They finally showed up Wednesday and changed out a piece of THEIR equipment that was outdated. No fault of my mine but THEIR equipment was outdated. They charged me $25 for gas and labor according to Charles @Zochnet when I called. WHAT? If YOUR equipment fails at no fault to the customer then you come and fix it. YOU know your equipment is outdated so you wait for me to get fed up and call so you can get your $25? Why not just come fix YOUR outdated equipment? Bad business! On a good note...my internet is working great for now... hopefully stays that way after the review as well. read more

Do not get this service. It worked fine for the first few months. After that, every week the network would go down and they would have to fix the towers. Then I started having issues with getting signals. They were very rude over the phone and could not send techs out to help. I finally gave up and am in the process of trying to find a different internet provider. read more
