I really like that the kitchen is open and the customers can see what is cooking and how it's cooked. I'm from Istanbul and the food reminded me home. It tastes exactly the same as "Esnaf Restaurants" in Turkey. This is a traditional type of restaurant and they are mostly located in the areas where small businesses accumulate. These restaurants make traditional home cooked Turkish food just like ANATOLIA. Food is similar to the ones that you can find in a traditional Turkish home. My favorites are: Sarma (Dolmades, Grape Leaves), Incik (Lamb Shank), Celery Root, Borek (Su Boregi) and home made yogurt. We drove 80 minutes from Princeton to eat in this restaurant and it is totally worth it! We are coming back sooner than later!

Today I had fresh green beans in a light broth of olive oil and fresh tomato, most often served room temperature and the lovely 'pilaf', short grained rice browned in butter with just a bit of pasta. I also had a stewed beef dish that was tender and flavorful! The meal begins with a serving of homemade pickled veggies, unfortunately I couldn't taste it today, but it looked fresh and crisp and refreshing on this 95 degree day. Pictured is stuffed eggplant with Sukran, the lovely chef who makes everything fresh from scratch. On the menu today was also stuffed peppers. These are traditional dishes served in most Turkish homes. Even in Turkey, it is difficult to find these wonderful dishes in restaurants. Don't miss out on the strong, black tea!

I've been eating Turkish food my whole life. The lahmacun at…read morethis place is as good as I've had anywhere, including Turkey. My Turkish family tries many of the Turkish restaurants in NJ, Manhattan and Queens. This place is a family favorite. This restaurant specializes in baked foods rather than the typical kebabs and they have perfected their craft. Our favorite thing on the menu is the lahmacun and it is fantastic. The dough is stretched thin and cooked such that it is crispy but still pliable enough to fill and roll up. They have everything down to a science. We were pretty hungry and ordered 3 lamacuns for each person and shared a salad. Lamacun uses minced lamb, which can be hard to get right, but the meat here was fresh and spiced perfectly. After ordering and finishing 12 lamacuns for the table we ordered 8 to-go such that we could freeze them at home and save them for later. They are that good and at 6 dollars each well worth it. The one thing to keep in mind is that all these baked goods are made fresh so keep that in mind if things take a little while to come out. It's well worth the wait!

Really great first experience @ Doner Point Express in the willowbrook mall!…read more I stopped by Döner Point Express in the Willowbrook Mall food court, and even though they're relatively new here, I was really impressed by how kind and welcoming the customer service was. I'm currently doing keto, so I'm avoiding sugar and flour, and they were very accommodating. I got extra protein over cabbage and cucumbers, and the döner kebab meat was really well made -- flavorful, seasoned nicely, and cooked just right. It's honestly nice to find a quick food-court option where the quality of the meat actually stands out. What I appreciated even more was that they genuinely cared about the experience. They followed up with me to ask how everything was, and when I explained my dietary restrictions, they were very understanding and helpful. My girlfriend got the falafel combo with rice, fries, and salad, and she really enjoyed it too -- which says a lot because she can be a little picky when it comes to food! Overall, really happy we gave this place a try. Great food, very kind service, and they clearly care about their customers. I'll definitely be back.

My friend and I grabbed a menu and sat down at a table of our choice, then our order was taken immediately. We ordered the Mixed Grill to share, along with the Ezme (spicy turkish salad), and 2 Lahmachun. We also wanted to share the Borek (cheese pastries) but they were not available that day. The food did take long to come out, but given that there was one cook and one server managing the whole restaurant, we were patient. The Mixed Grill Plate came with all kinds of meats, all cooked well; along with rice, and a small salad. The Ezme salad was so good with bread and even better with the grilled meats. The star of the show was the Lahmachun, the bread was so thin and crispy, and the meat was seasoned perfectly. It came with Parsley, tomato, lemon; do yourself a favor and add Ezme to it and ask for onions. You're welcome! I would probably go back simply because I want the Lahmachun with the Ezme. The restaurants ambience is quite casual, but it's very clean. I will be back!
