I was in Clifton today, visiting my niece and grand nephew, and we decided to go have the lunch special over in Yasmeen for $19.95 per person. From the outside, it looked like just a house. But once we got inside, it was a quaint little restaurant, very neat and clean and bright. Our waitress was pleasant so we quickly ordered one soup or salad and one appetizer and one main and a drink each. I love dolmas and theirs was delicious. So was their lentil soup and the whipped aioli sauce. Plus the falafel platter was very tasty. Drenched in a tahini dressing, Mmmmmm!! I would go back again and try some new things.
Yasmeen 39 Union Ave Cresskill, NJ 07626 Strawberry Matcha Latte One of the two locations of this Lebanese/Syrian restaurant is in the heart of Cresskill. As I entered the restaurant, I was impressed with the attractive interior and even more so impressed with their viral coffee bar. With so many flavors to choose ranging from pistachio to coconut cloud, I decided to choose the strawberry matcha latte (and it was hard to make a decision). When server Ana placed this iced beverage in front of me, it was love at first sip. The appearance alone instantly caught my eye. Its red, white, and green colors are a perfect fit on a hot summer day. Unfortunately, I had to stir this drink for maximum flavor which altered the appearance; thankfully, I took the photo shot before I started stirring. The ice cubes in this drink made it difficult to stir with the plastic straw, but I was offered a spoon. Although I felt there was a tad bit too much ice in this drink, the combination of strawberry puree, milk, and premium matcha was very refreshing. For an up charge, I added strawberry whipped foam to enhance the flavor even more. When I next return to explore their other signature lattes, I will remember to request less ice which will simply the stirring. #yasmeenmediterranean #yasmeencresskill #strawberrymatchalatte
This was such a cute place. Service was great and everyone was so friendly. Food was soo good, fresh and flavorful. I was traveling to Clifton for work and decided to stop here and get dinner. I will definitely be back next time I am in town.
I am rarely in New Jersey, but if I ever do frequent it, you can assure that I will have some great Middle Eastern food before leaving. I went to Yasmeen with a friend as he said it's one of his favorite restaurants and it did not disappoint. We ordered the calamari to share & salmon. The calamari was good but I believe the portion could've been bigger. The salmon was also great & I loved the white sauce that accompanied albeit my friend wasn't a huge fan. Do note that the sauce is a bit on the sweeter side so it's not for everyone. In addition to the food, we also had the slush lemonade which was refreshing (despite it being 20 degrees outside haha) & the hookah (albeit the employee there didn't seem sure on how to use it for some reason) which was fine. All in all, I can see why Yasmeen is quite popular in that area.
Came here on a Tuesday afternoon because I saw that they had a lunch special- appetizer, side, main course, and drink for $19.95. The place had a decent amount of customers for a weekday. We sat in the front dining area where there was a large TV, good for watching the game (in our case, the world cup). The place was clean and server was friendly. We ordered 3 lunch specials that included the fattoush (house salad), mouhamarra, labneh, shish tawook (grilled chicken with rice pilaf), kufta kebab, and mint lemonade. Honestly for food, my average rating for everything would be closer to 3.5/5. The pita bread that came with the table was room temp and served in a plastic bag. I would have liked it to be at least warmed up a little before being brought out. The sides and dips were average. They lacked flavor and depth in my opinion- the labneh was simply plain, sour yogurt without any other flavor. The mouhamarrah was also average, it was a bit spicy and that was about it. Standouts from our table that were very well executed were the lentil soup, shish tawook, and yasmeen fries. The lentil soup came out steaming hot, and was very nicely seasoned. I liked that it came with crispy pieces to add texture. The shish tawook surprised me as it didnt look super special, but it was actually very good! The chicken was juicy, fell apart easily, and had that nice grill flavor. It went well with the rice and vegetables. The yasmeen fries were hot and crispy, the garlic seasoning was a very nice touch. I would've liked if my mint lemonade had more mint flavor in it but perhaps that was my bad for not ordering the slush version. The portions were pretty generous, 19.95 is a fair price for all the food we received. Overall, we had a nice experience and am glad we got to try the place out.
Overall the place Yasmeen is great vibes and nice people. The food to be honest was okay could have been better and more tasty but it was still good. I got the Yasmeen mix grill which consist of grilled kufta kebab, chicken kebab and lamb shish kebab. They also gave American rice, which I personally am not fan of but was okay. The chicken and lamb were decent nothing over the edge but overall a 7.5/10. The hookah in other hand was amazing, probably one of the best hookah I've had in a while. I got the flavor love 66 and the smoke and feel was top notch I would give it a 9/10. This made the experience great way to close to relax and enjoy the night. Please is overall great good vibes and coworkers

Yasmeen was very picturesque, great decor and well covered for a sunny Day to sit outside. The staff was very friendly. We started with the mixed appetizer which had multiple spreads to try. However they felt Refrigerator cold vs room temperature. I would have preferred the pita be warmed just A bit before being brought to the table. The lemonade slush was very refreshing. My Friend asked for a latte unfortunately they do not carry any dairy free milk options. The chicken was nicely grilled and the rice was very tasty. Overall I'd come back to try other options

Our kebabs were delicious and went well with the rice and side salad that was included in our dishes. We also ordered ourselves falafel to share before our main entree arrived. The restaurant was busy with people dining outdoors and indoors. It's such a great place for a date night or to catch up with friends. Yasmeen restaurant satisfied my craving for Mediterranean cuisine. It's so aesthetically pleasing as well. I would definitely recommend this Mediterranean restaurant 10/10 recommendation
Drove past here and the pretty decor caught my attention and then also saw a post about it so decided to come check it out! They have valet parking. You might get lucky and park on the street. It was a Thursday night so not busy at all! The service was definitely quick maybe even too quick. We were even done with our appetizer and the main course came out. We had order the mixed appetizer which included hummus (bit bland ) Mouhammara (spicy) and baba ghanoush that I really enjoyed! We also had Falafel, which were good. For dinner we had filet mignon which was cooked too perfection and got side of this garlic sauce which was so tasty. Yummy Yasmeen spicy fries is a must! We sat outside and it was a nice ambiance. It's also a BYOB! Definitely worth going!!
This place has valet to start. We came for an early dinner at 5:45 during the weekday and we're able to get a table right away. However, it did fill up as the night went on. I loved the vibe of the restaurant. All of the food was delicious. We tried the hummus, the labnah, the fatioosh salad (amazing ) ,chicken cubes ( so moist), the mint lemonade slushy - literally everything was delicious. Prices are reasonable. Service was wonderful. It's a BYOB restaurant if you're interested. they were able to split the bill four ways at the table, which was nice. Overall I thought this place was amazing.
Service is always quick! They do offer valet but you can definitely try to find street parking with whatever you're comfortable with! They have good food but sometimes we'll come for dessert & hookah! We were seated pretty quickly for a thursday night & the restaurant was pretty busy!
What a bomb of flavor and friendly service. Highly recommend checking this spot out. The price vs. taste ratio is fair and the food is unique and creative and beautiful. If you're looking for a higher end Mediterranean spot with a beautiful aesthetic and environment, this is it! read more
Cute little spot with valet parking! We sat outside, and the aesthetics were absolutely beautiful--such a nice atmosphere. We started with a few appetizers: the calamari, Yasmeen fries, and falafel. Everything was so fresh and delicious! We all ordered different entrees, and the portions were generous enough that we all ended up taking some home. The restaurant is BYOB, and we ordered mango and lemonade to mix together--such an amazing combination! The only downside for me was that I didn't realize they had hookah smoking. At times, the smoke was a little overwhelming. Definitely not a deal breaker, though. If I come back, I'll probably ask for a table farther toward the back and away from the hookah area. Overall, a really enjoyable experience with great food, beautiful ambiance, and generous portions. I'd definitely come back! read more

Regretting that I lost my pics but this has to be Clifton's best Mediterranean spot. Everything is perfect and delicious! Had stuffed grape leaves with meat, baba ganoush, with homemade pita, their house mixed grill platter is stellar with tender juicy perfectly cooked chops of lamb, chicken and kofta. Their green drink is from heaven! Dessert is top tier a good spot for hookah! Great service as well read more

Love this restaurant!!! It was our first time and the weather was perfect so my daughter and I chose to sit on the beautifully decorated patio. Every staff person we encountered was super nice! We ordered the trio of dips and kibbeh as appetizers and shared the mixed grill entree. Omg! I ate every morsel of the babaganoush! So incredible! Flavorful but not overly done. Hummus was also delicious and the red pepper dip was great but i could eat 10 bowls of that babaganoush! I have never had kibbeh and I loved it! The mixed grill also was so delectable! The meats were tender, perfectly cooked and juicy. YUMMMMMMM. What I love about this restaurant is the food is appropriately seasoned. Some restaurants use so Much seasoning that you lose the flavor of the star ingredients. Here, the seasonings enhance the flavors instead of obliterating them. They have free valet so you do not have to worry about parking even though the lot is right next to the restaurant. I cannot wait to go back! read more
Pictures are from multiple visits. The filet mignon kebabs are out of this world. The chicken kebabs are tender and flavorful. All the salads are fresh. Service is great. There is an amazing outside with plenty of table but it does fill up. There is also an inside that is clean and well spaced out. read more

I truly enjoyed my dining experience at Yasmeen. The food all came out very quickly and everything was delish. I especially enjoyed the lamb chops, the meat was tender and flavorful, and the fattoush salad which was perfectly refreshing. The restaurant was simply decorated but stunning as well. In the front they have a flower display which is gorgeous and adds to the sophisticated ambiance. My only issue was that servers kept bringing the wrong drinks/dishes to the wrong tables and food came out so quickly that there was not enough room on our two person table to fit the apps and entrees. Besides this, the servers were very accommodating and helpful. Can't wait to return. read more

We visited this restaurant last night for dinner and it was simply amazing. We chose to sit outdoors and the decor and ambience were absolutely beautiful. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. We were constantly checked on to see if we needed anything and it was clear that they truly care about their guests experience. The food was delicious and packed with flavor. We decided to try a little bit of everything. We were so glad we did. It gave us the perfect opportunity to sample multiple dishes from the menu. Everything we tried was well prepared and full of taste, to top it all off the desserts were amazing and the perfect way to end. Such a wonderful evening. I highly recommend this spot!! read more

This place is very unassuming based on the outside. But it is beautiful inside. The servers were friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. So fresh and flavorful! My favorite was the grape leaves as will as the bourak. The fattoush salad was so flavorful and delicious as well. The lunch special includes a lot of food for $19.95 and there's parking behind the restaurant. Highly recommend read more

Yasmeen has been my go-to spot in Jersey for sooo long. No matter how many times I go or what I try, I am never disappointed! Pictures here are the chicken chops. I prefer getting the rice with my meal rather than fries and here's why. The yasmeen fries are delicious and a whole plate for the table will run quickly! The garlic sauce is amazing with the chicken. The slush lemonade is the most perfect lemonade I have ever had. Service is extremely attentive and friendly. Outdoor seating is lovely to the eye. I love that they have parking too! meals are in $20s range and you do get a good amount of protein in your serving so it's worth the price. read more

It's just ok. It's popular on social media so I decided to try it out. Service is awful. The waiters are kids and practically have no idea about the menu or how to waitress. You wait super long to order and even longer to get the drinks and food. Humus was good but I think it's hard to mess that up. All the other food was just ok. I've had so much better. I came here with friends for lunch recently. We shared the baba ghanoush. I had the shish tawook. It was a generous portion of food, I had leftovers. The food was authentic and very good. We ended with baklava and Turkish coffee. The service was little slow but not terrible. There is a parking lot and they offer hookah. I would return next time I'm in the area. read more

These are the best french fries i ever had in my life. always get the Yasmeen fries it's so good. the babagsnoush was okay but definitely get the french fries it's amazing the mixed grill was filling for two people and the vimto drink soda was incredible i'll always get it when i'm in town the service was good it feels family owned and the people were nice there is also hookah and parking available. the ambiance is very cozy A+ read more

This was a treat. The food was amazing. The ambiance was great. The restaurant was packed but we had a reservation and were seated right away. But get there early. When we left, there were quite a few people waiting to be seated. If you are lucky, you'll get Maria as your server. She was very polite, always with a smile and although always running with so many tables to serve, she never let us down. We had: Bourak and Kybbeh Nayyeh for starters Filet Mingon Kebabs with Yasmeen fries Chicken chops with pilaf Chicken parm with Yasmeen fries Osmalia and Profiteroles for dessert For drinks we had our own wine (BYOB) and my son asked for a Strawberry lemonade, which was gigantic and absolutely delicious. Family ran business makes this place feel more like an extension of your kitchen then a restaurant . Mediterranean can mean so many countries . This family is from Syria. Went for a pharmaceutical dinner , we had never ending supply of dishes buffet type banquet . Over 8 dishes . It was all delicious . Just when you can't imagine another spin or flavor of grilled meat , its juicy . Great place for family & friend gathering . Its a 2 story house turned eatery . A bit small . Fills up quickly . I was told they have outside dining in the back during warmer months . Only negative is the parking situation . Not many spots , may have to park in the street and walk . I would go back . read more
