This establishment touts themselves as a healthy food restaurant, which they definitely have. However, they also have not so healthy items like an array of fried foods which are mostly on the kids menu. We tried a mango pineapple smoothie which is only made with almond milk. Unfortunately, with an almond allergy we asked them to use water only, so the consistency was different, but was still tasty. We also tried the crispy chicken wrap, Caesar salad wrap, grilled protein bowl, and a Dubai chocolate cheese cake. Everything was ok to good. It was all very fresh, but the steak in the protein bowl was chewy, some things lacked a little flavor, while others were very flavorful. So just a bit inconsistent. Service was friendly and helpful. Grill and Greens kept popping up on my FYP, so I was excited to finally give them a try. For the food alone, I'd give them a solid 4.The dishes are tasty and well priced. But I'm giving them five stars because of the staff. They were incredibly friendly and so sweet to my toddler, who was definitely not on his best behavior. They even gave us a free drink to try. Their kindness and patience made me a customer for life, especially since I was juggling an indecisive human and a cranky toddler. We ordered the shrimp and salmon wrap, the tenders and fries, a Turkish soda, and a fountain drink. The wraps were flavorful and delicious. The salmon tasted fresh and wasn't overcooked. The Turkish soda was something I'd never tried before, and I was amazed by how light yet flavorful it was, all while having half the sugar of regular sodas. Grill & Greens is such a gem in Bloomfield Center! They have the best lentil soup and falafel wrap -- seriously so flavorful and fresh. There are tons of vegan options, which I really appreciate. Today I happen to visit Rumi Mediterranean Café and Grill. I have walked past this restaurant on several occasions, but I never was hungry right then and there. So I made a mental note of the place and promised myself that I would come check this place out. Anyway, today was the day that I decided to stop in and have some lunch. The ambience of this restaurant is quite lovely and the staff was beyond friendly. I was quickly and efficiently sat at a table, handed a menu, and my drink order was taken. The place was pretty empty as you can see by the photographs and so I had a lot of time to peruse the menu. So, let's talk about what I ordered. So I decided to start my meal with the lentil soup as an appetizer. And for my entrée, I decided to order the lamb Shawarma platter. The lentil soup arrived surprisingly quickly with a side of warm pita bread but was quite flavorless. Then moments later, my entrée arrived. I was really looking forward to this Shawarma platter until I tasted it. To say that it was void a flavor would be an understatement. I had to salt and pepper the meat just to get some sort of flavoring because this dish was truly void of any taste. To be quite honest with you I really wanted to like this restaurant, the service was lovely and the restaurant was clean and had a nice ambience, but the food just didn't hit the mark. Hopefully one day I'll come back to this establishment and give it another try but until then, they just get three stars. This place opened recently in the old Glenwood Diner, and the interior looks really nice and updated from the old decor. The staff was friendly and helpful. I looked in the dessert case, and a staff member came over to tell me what everything was. They all looked good! I got a gyro to go, and the gyros are described as coming with "served with lettuce, onions, pickles and french fries" as having a side of fries, not fries inside the gyro, as I've never seen a place do that. The wording doesn't say it's on the side, but I think that's more expected and for the price, a side would have made sense. It came with a side of sauce, and the gyro was tasty. This place has some really promising items and nice atmosphere. There is some parking in a lot or street parking available. It's nice to see a new business in the area. read more

Nice dining area with comfy chairs. Service was excellent. Hummus was tasty and served with pita. I had chicken Adana which was cooked well but needed alittle more seasoning. My husband had the Iskander and he also wanted alittle more spice and he said the bread was alittle too thin - he likes thicker bread with this dish. We got the Baklava for dessert. Very quaint inside but very cold. The restroom was absolutely freezing. We both had the Lamb Doner Shawarma dinner. Sliced very thin, not much flavor. It was served with a salad, no flavor either. No sauce served. It would be nice if entree was served with some hummus or Tzatziki sauce. Our entrees were not served together which was very odd. Had a terrible experience for my sister's graduation lunch here. Went on a Thursday at 3pm. There was no one else in the restaurant. Had a party if 7 (not huge but sizeable where you'd think they'd care about service). The service was TERRIBLE. Like absolutely terrible and I personally dont go to restaurants for the ambiance/service but care more about yhe taste/quality of the food. They would come by every 30 minutes and seem bothered when we'd ask for water every 30 minutes... what kind of service is that? We spent close to $300 and they couldn't care to refill our water glasses. They were not accommodating at all and pushing ordering more food when we ordered 5 appetizers, the largest family sized platter and 3 desserts. The food is VERY overpriced, though good quality and overall good. Maybe they think they can charge more because there isn't as much competition in the area. There are much better quality places that are authentic in Paterson/Clifton area. Save yourself the trouble and go there instead. For example, they charge $12 for a child's size mozzarella sticks or chicken fingers, which is highway robbery. Their individual kebab dishes are around $28. They have a cold trio of 3 appetizers and they charge $28 for it snd it came out in this tiny little dish. We got the hummus, graoe leaves and another eggplant/tomato dish, the name of which I'm forgetting. They have 2 grape leaves. That means we spent over $9 for 2 grape leaves for an appetizers sampler that is meant to be shared... Please make it make sense. That's comparable to high end/fancy restaurants and way out of line for this restaurant. The family platter that feeds 4-5 is ~$150, which amounts to $25-35 per person. What family meal is more expensive than individual orders... the pricing makes no sense and is a complete ripoff. The appetizers weren't very good, the entree was good and the desserts are not good (probably the worst out of the 3) and are not good quality. The decor and theme of the restaurant was nice and what drew us to it. We have been to many Turkish restaurants and have always loved the food/ambience. This was not it. There are many better restaurants in the immediate area that blow this place out of the water. Extremely disappointed in our experience. Normally I wouldn't care for the service and whatnot but we went for my sister's medical school graduation and had an awful experience. There were two couples who came after us who sat for at least 20 minutes without anyone coming by to take their order. I'm not sure how this place has so many positive reviews, I would not go back and would recommend others go elsewhere. Please save yourselves the time and effort and thank me later. read more

I had the Turkish tea which was delicious, the hummus, and the falafel wrap. The falafel wrap had french fries and a little bit of pickle in it. That was surprising but it was amazing. My husband had the lamb platter and he can't wait to go back to have it again. And my husband is super picky. . The staff are kind and attentive and overall this was an exceptional experience.
