I ordered on DoorDash hoping for "good enough." What I got was unreal. The burger was absolute perfection. Juicy, bold, perfectly balanced blue cheese. I literally had tears in my eyes while demolishing it. It was that good. But here's what made it unforgettable: they included the sweetest note, a brownie, and even little toys in the bag. I was not prepared for that level of thoughtfulness. It completely changed my night. I called to thank them personally and Umberto, the manager, was incredibly kind and genuinely appreciative. Never have I ever felt so seen by a burger place. Five stars isn't enough. They didn't just deliver food. They delivered comfort.

OMG I tried a piece of this big slice and died and went to heaven. Utter addictiveness in flavor and texture including their homemade crust. Not too often Im impressed with how Key lime pie is made and this ranks 2nd on my list of places to go for key lime pie. The indoor ambience was cool with memorabilia all over the wall like a small TV playing star wars movie, a retro TV in the bathroom painted the words on it "Legalize Kush". Also graffiti art on the walls. Very cool spot in the grove. Since it was a nice cool evening, we opted to sit outdoors. Nice. Eventually the bill came in a CD case! Haha.

Overall, a good but mixed experience with some real highlights and a few clear misses…read more The lamb gyro platter was the star of the meal. The gyro meat was excellent--crispy, flavorful, and served in a generous portion. It came with pita, tzatziki, and traditional fixings, and everything on the platter worked beautifully together. The tzatziki, in particular, was some of the best I've had--fresh, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Truly outstanding. The grilled vegetables were more uneven. There was a nice char overall, and the charred asparagus stood out as especially delicious. However, the rest of the vegetables felt under-seasoned and lacked flavor--something as simple as a bit of salt could have made a big difference. The biggest disappointment was the meatballs small plate. While the portion was generous (six meatballs), unfortunately they were extremely dry and largely inedible. Between two of us, we managed only one--and that reluctantly. Bottom line: Meraki clearly does some things very well--especially the gyro platter and tzatziki--but a few dishes need refinement. With some improvement in seasoning and execution on certain items, this could easily move from good to excellent.

The food, the cocktails, the service were all top notch. This was not the same place I disliked so much a few years ago. We were a big group and my sister picked the menu with the help of the friendly, & cool manager - I think his name was Angelo maybe. Anyway he gelped with the drink and food service and the whole team was spectacular. Water and drinks were always full and the food was delicious. We all had pan con tomate, croquetas, a delicious, crisp salad, and the thickest and fluffiest French toast. So, I stand corrected. Level 6 was fabulous, cool, with great service and delicious food. The fire dancer, the drum player, and those beautiful views were the perfect mix. We had made reservations ahead of time which I would recommend if you plan on seating and having a bite. While we waited for our table we stood by the bar and each ordered a fabulous cocktail. The menu had it all to suit everyone's needs whatever your spirit of choice. Once seated we really just enjoyed the whole experience. We sat at a spacious table with one seating comfy enough for three and ottoman's for the rest of our party. We were comfortable as we were a party of 6. Pictures, gossip, and laughs persisted. We all ordered and shared tasty appetizers. Our spread consisted of truffle fries, grilled octopus, shrimp, potato bravas, tuna tartare, fish croquette, pan con tomate with, manchego cheese, and chicken paella. We were a happy bunch and everything we tried we all loved. As we finished with more cocktails and a surprise birthday treat, a deejay began to play and kept the mood going. Really such a nice spot for dinner, drinks, entertainment, and views.

If you love cruising which I do and you love craft beer, you will absolutely love District Brew House. It is located on deck 8 towards the front of the ship. When I was on my cruise, it was the best kept secret on the ship. If you have cruised on a mega-ship like the Escape, you know getting a drink, especially in a frequented club or on the pool deck will usually mean long lines. On the Norwegian Escape, me and my friends did a test. One group of my friends stood in the line in prime time in the evening at Spice H2O on Deck 17 towards the rear of the ship. My group left them, walked all the way to District Brew House on 8 in the front of the ship, ordered drinks and came back. The group at Spice H2O were still waiting for their drinks. From that day on, we made it a point to stop in District Brew House before going anywhere else. Things you need to know about District Brew House on the Norwegian Escape: 1) They have draft beer and craft bottles 2) It wasn't too crowded and the service was great 3) We had the unlimited drink package and all our beers were FREE 4) At night they had a piano player from 9 pm until... 5) In 7 days you can try every beer they have, if beer is all you're drinking

The first location in the River is better imo because the location is bigger, there is plenty more seating than the Grove location. Although, I still enjoyed my time at this location as well. Sooo how it works is that you go inside and pick a bottle of wine from the fridges. You can also order by the glass if you aren't a big drinker or if you want to try different wines. The bottles are moderately priced depending on your selection. We chose an orange wine and it was nice, very refreshing, you can really get that citrus essence with every sip. Another thing that they have is that you can pick different cheeses and meats and they will build you a charcuterie board. I love this because it is all based on your selection, nothing will go to waste. They also have food you can order. A lot of people love the nuggets with caviar. I think they are decent imo but I'm not like in love with them. Parking can be a bit annoying... If there isn't street parking, you can also park in the garage. The service was good, the staff was friendly. The only thing that was a hassle was getting a table. We had to wait a bit in order for a table to become available. Overall, this spot is a very cozy place to hang and mingle with friends.

As others have stated, Magie is good in concept and we'll likely return here, but with just a bit…read moremore effort on their part this wine bar could be so much better IMO. Unlike some other reviewers that scoffed at the prices of the wine, that didn't bother me so much. We had a bottle here that cost $55 and it retails for about $28; I was OK with that, as all restaurants and wine bars have a markup above retail, and even when you go to spots like Happy Wine or El Carajo and pick out a bottle to drink while in their shop, they charge a corkage fee for that. What I did have a problem with is that, after the "service charge" and other fees were added on, our $55 bottle rang up to more than $73 in total, which was ludicrous. When we first arrived at Magie we were met by a young guy who pointed out the bottles and where the various charcuterie items are located in the coolers, and we were then pretty much left on our own. We really just wanted a glass of wine each, but unlike places like Vinoteca, here at Magie they had a very limited selection of wines by the glass, and the ones available all seemed to come in single-serve cans. We picked out a bottle to share, went to the register, paid and the guy opened it and handed us 2 glasses. When I returned to get napkins, the guy just motioned to where the napkins were so I could grab my own (after moving a delivery cart out of the way by myself so I could reach them). Again, though this place includes an automatic "service charge", we received zero actual "service" unless one considers the 45 seconds it takes to uncork our bottle and charge us for the purchase. We had a seat, had a glass of wine each and then re-corked our bottle of wine and took it with us. Overall I think Magie is a great concept with lots of potential. The inside seating area is interestingly decorated and outfitted with lots of eclectic furniture and items on the walls, and the relatively large patio seating out front with tables for 2 to 8 people is shielded from the adjacent street/traffic and shaded by lots of trees and greenery. The ambiance overall is really very nice. The service, however, was non-existent, especially considering the automatic charge for that, and while prices of at least some wines aren't terribly out of line, the fact that all the service charges, taxes and fees added $20 to the cost of our bottle was a bit of a shocker. Magie should consider adding more wines by the glass IMO. Not just subpar quality single-serve cans, but decent wines, poured from a proper bottle with a topper that preserves the wine between pours like most every quality wine bar commonly offers. Lastly, while I don't think anyone expects linen napkins and white glove service, the paper plates and plastic cutlery customers are given to eat with are a bit off vs. what this place appears to be trying to be and the prices charged. The "F*ck Brunch" positioning statement on the back of the staffs' shirts was an interesting touch.
