This was my first time visiting, despite the restaurant having been around for many years and being a local. After watching a movie in the area, I decided to finally give it a try. The wait time was quick--under 5 minutes--on a saturday night and we were seated outside. We started with a fried seafood appetizer, which was enjoyable. For my main dish, I ordered the linguine alle vongole. Unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing. Every bite contained noticeable sand, making the dish gritty and inedible. I asked for it to be removed from the bill and declined a replacement. The manager, Fabian, came over but did not seem very understanding or accommodating. Stating they always clean their clams and that he would see with the kitchen. While the dish was removed, the issue didn't feel properly acknowledged. It's been a few years since I've been to Strada and let me tell you, they have not missed a beat! It remains one of the very best Italian spots with great quality food in Miami. It was amazing! We loved it! We started with the burrata with prosciutto then followed it with our main course: linguine with clams and squid ink ravioli stuffed with crab and shrimp in lobster sauce was incredible! The mocktail and cocktail were well made and tasty. We skipped on dessert, but will indulge in the future. Laudis, our server, was excellent and recommended the dishes we enjoyed! After wanting to come and try the new marriage between Strada and Farinelli into one restaurant I have to say that ... it is okay but not great. Each on their own were really good restaurants. Farinelli had awesome pizzas which most are still in the new menu but some like the funghi is no longer there but a new version (tartufo) We started with lamb meatballs and fritto misto (fried calamari with zucchini and apples) meatballs were good but the sauce is probably the best thing. The fried calamari was a bit greasy. I tried the pizza di mare (seafood pizza) and it sounded good in paper... but it's definitely not working in execution. Its a soggy, almost wet dough. Not very pleasant. Toppings were good but it needs a lot of work. The pata negra pizza was still very good as it was the Margherita pizza. Linguini vongole was good but nothing memorable. Service was attentive and friendly. Ambiance is again nice ... with indoor and outdoor seating and they added a new bar out in the terrace which is nice for having a few drinks and grabbing a quick bite and of course ... for people watching. This spot always caught my attention because if the Romaric at miso her outside and they are always packed for brunch so was excited to try it, even though we just wanted a quick bite. Service was interesting, there was a lot of cursing lol but they were very friendly and attentive. Pizza was a little over garlicky but did the job. Overall: for one pizza and two simple drinks that cost us $70 with 18% tip. It's not worth it to be honest. Came to Strada for our Company Christmas party and wow! Everything on the menu was amazing! There were no misses on anything that was ordered. It was a party of 11 and everyone left satisfied with filled and happy bellies. The staff were very attentive and fast. Drinks and food came out relatively fast considering it was a full house. It's disappointing that the business listing on Yelp for the original Strada restaurant was simply updated with the street address of this new spot and re-activated, instead of a new business listing being created for this new restaurant. There are almost 400 reviews of the long-shuttered original Strada, going back several years, and they really have no relation to this new eatery that just opened. In fact, if you go to Strada's social media, it clearly states their grand opening was on April 21, 2025. The old reviews of the former location of the same name simply don't apply, but I digress... We came here with our dog and when we found that all the seats at the outdoor bar were taken, we were permitted to sit at the indoor bar instead, and service there was friendly and attentive all night from the bartender/server. IMO this spot took many of the things that were solid about the old, original Strada restaurant, and things that were good about Farinelli 1937 which was located where this new restaurant now sits, and combined them - albeit with a refreshed layout, design and decor. We both had a cocktail upon arrival - I the bees knees and hubby a lychee martini which were well-made. For an appetizer we ordered the focaccia e bruschetta and the stracciatella cheese. For dinner I had the roasted pumpkin agnolitti and my husband the lasagna, and we ordered a bottle of wine to share. Our appetizers were very good, but IMO both our main courses lacked a bit of flavor when compared to similar dishes we've had at other Italian restaurants recently. Prices were more or less in-line with other, better-quality Italian restaurants in the Miami area. I don't do a ton of reviews but after seeing a 3 point something for Strada I wanted to let you know my thoughts as we've visited several times and keep them on our rotation of favorite places in the Grove. This restaurant and bar is great! The people are very friendly and professional and know your needs before you even have to ask. The happy hour is great too, only thing they could improve to me is to cook the wings a big more and let the fat cook off. But the stracciatella cheese, I'd come every day for that alone! Great bruschetta too. I don't believe the bad reviews as that has never been my experience. read more

I came to dinner tonight to have a reunion with my best friends. During our dinner I spilled my drink and asked our waiter for a new cup, and he scoffed and shook his hand at me. Throughout the dinner, our waiter was nowhere to be found as he only visited our table ONCE. By the time to pay- the waiter put the payment in front of each one of my friends and watched us tip- at the end- he said "You all should've tipped more- and tip accordingly." I had the worst service here tonight and feel incredibly disrespected by the managements response and the waiters. Will not be coming back. read more

We heard some good things so we decided to try it before they relocated. We made reservation online which was easy , we arrived early and hostess who is super friendly was able to accommodate us and seat us almost immediately. The dining room has a nice romantic feel, a good balance of lighting in being able to see but not too bright along with nice color scheme. Once seated the staff gave us menus immediately and asked if we wanted sparkling or normal water, then brought bread. The service was very good as the people assisting the waiter were friendly, with a smile and attentive. We ordered Tagliolini with Ragu which is their Bolognese sauce, they actually served Fettuccine but we didn't send it back because the pasta was cooked properly, the bolognese sauce was very good but needed more Bolognese sauce. We also order Pappardelle Con Crema Di Porcini, the pasta was also properly cooked, mushroom cream sauce which had excellent flavor just needed a little more sauce. Strada was a wonderful choice for lunch! Went with a group of friends today for lunch and while it was very hot and we sat outside, it was still very comfortable. Great location in the heart of Coconut Grove but not too hot, we had a very nice breeze. There were many servers available for anything we needed and all were friendly and attentive. We had a little bit of everything. The crab cake was saucy and fresh. Misto salad was refreshing. The prosciutto sandwich was served on a flat bread crusted in Parmesan cheese that was SO GOOD. GET THE FRENCH FRIES. The pizza was a perfect portion. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. I had a beer but my friends had a couple of different cocktails, all of which they raved about. I went to strata for a date and absolutely loved it. This small elegant modern restaurant looked cute to try and we weren't disappointed. We had started the date off with some meatballs and burrata. Wow the meat balls were just flavorful and the burrata was melting on my tongue, extremely fresh. I had order the bolognese for my main entree and was exactly what I was expecting in taste. Service was amazing. My only criticism is that once closing time hit it felt like the staff was hinting for us to leave; however we were 2/3 down with the bottle of wine and felt pressured to chug our drinks. This pasta experience was really good. Located in the heart of Coconut Grove, this restaurant is nicely tucked on semi-quiet street. They do have outdoor seating available and the indoor seating is cozy although spacious. The wait staff was friendly and the food came out hot and fresh. I booked an early reservation immediately at opening for dinner, so the service was good. Easily one of my top 5 pasta experiences on the East Coast. The food itself was very fresh and delicious. The tomato and cheese sauces had very authentic flavors. You can always tell when pasta noodles are made fresh in-house and this pasta certainly was. Everything was served hot. The appetizers also were delicious. I ordered the risotto balls and fried calamari which were exceptional. Tonight we were a party of 3. We were seated immediately on a Thursday night at 7:45 without a reservation. Offered a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. We chose inside. I always love when they leave the full bottles of water on the table so you never run out and you can serve yourself if thirsty. They still made it a point to constantly come around and refill our waters. We had the appetizer of the day which was the most amazing straciatella cheese with a drizzle of honey accompanied by prosciutto and crostini. The soup of the day was carrot just the way I like it, no dairy, no cream, just the . It was flavorful but not my favorite. By the time dinner came around we were all pretty full so everyone took leftovers home. Dinner: Salmon a la ginger. Again, not my favorite. It was just ok. For a ginger salmon it lacked in ginger flavor. The slaw on top of the salmon made it look unappetizing. The potatoes au gratin were just awful. They lacked crunch, we're extremely greasy and tasted like butter. The best part of the entree was the broccoli rabe which had plenty of flavor. Spaghetti and meatballs. Although it tasted homemade the meatballs were just ok Pappardelle porcini with truffle was delicious. Light for a pasta with the perfect amount of sauce and flavor. read more

We have been going to Strada and Farinelli for over 20 years prior to the move across the street and blending of both restaurants. After last nights meal we'll consider not going back. We ordered Funghi Misti appetizer which was served primarily with one kind of button mushroom barely sautéed. We've had this dish many times and if you don't have the mushrooms don't serve it. We grudgingly had the dish anyway and did not complain. We then ordered our mains and had another major issue. If you're going to offer gluten free Cacio e Pepe, don't serve boiled penne pasta. The only cheese was when the waiter offered Parmesan cheese after serving. When this was brought back to the chef we were advised that the sauce they use regularly for Cacio e Pepe uses flour and this was the gluten free version. If so it shouldn't be advertised as gluten free and you should care more about your patrons than to serve what amounts to a dish of boiled pasta and try to pass it over as a menu item. After we finally got her attention she sat us at a table so close to the other guests that we could easily hold hands and nibble of their plates. Going the whole 5 STARS for this sweet little gem of an authentic Italian restaurant right in the heart of Coconut Grove on Commodore Plaza, an absolutely quaint little tree-lined side street with restaurants and shops on both sides. All I have to say is GO HERE. (Okay, well I'll say more below but that's the gist!) Funny backstory - prior to our trip down to Miami, I booked dinner at another place in the Grove, Amal. I had read raves about Amal in an online article and loved the pics of the interior decor. This was going to be our one "get dressed up, fancy dinner" of our trip. The day before, I reviewed the menu, saw the INSANE prices for entrees and got cold feet! I didn't know if I would be able to find and make reservations for an alternate place in the Grove with such short notice so I went on OpenTable and read reviews on Yelp and, voila! Strada was the winner! GREAT DECISION. Parking: don't panic. :) Street parking is everywhere. Might not be right before your eyes, but troll around and you'll find something. I would recommend going off the main roads, down the side streets. Patience is a virtue as they say - come a bit early and give yourself time to find something. You might need to walk a block or two or three to the restaurant. Strada in the Grove was the vibe and feel I was looking for. I liked the pics I saw in Yelp and OpenTable and liked how quaint the place was inside, in person. The dinner entrees we had were O. M. G. soooooo amazingly good. And the service by Raul was delightful and spot on - very attentive, friendly and sweet. :) It was obvious to us, being out-of-towners, that this place has the seal of approval from locals. We arrived for our reservations at 7PM on a Wed night - the place was still empty which surprised us. But by the time we left an hour later, the place was packed and buzzing. If you see the interior pics, the tables are a bit closer together than I typically like (I dislike being so close to a table that I feel like I'm listening to their convo or they're listening to mine) - but at Strada, it didn't bother me because as the place gets busy, the noise helps to drown out the quiet. And besides, the ambience of this place gives off what I would imagine a quaint little restaurant in a small Italian town to be like. They seated us at a 2 top right at the front window - best table in the house! They served us a complimentary bread basket with a plate of olive oil for dipping. We asked for parm cheese which they accommodated (giving us a generous helping) and we added a shake of salt and freshly ground pepper. We ordered a drink each - a glass of draft Peroni $8 and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc Mohua $16. THE MENU IS EXTENSIVE. LOADS TO CHOOSE FROM. SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. For dinner, we had the Pappardelle con Crema di Porcini $28 and Rigatoni all'Amatriciana $26. Housemade pasta. Delicious. Flavorful. Quantity ingredients were apparent. Creatively put together. Pasta perfectly al dente. Beautifully plated and presented. Portion sizes were decent and both dishes were filling - to the point we didn't have room for dessert (unfortunately). Need I say more? Actually, the one nit that I agree with another reviewer about is the $1.50 charge on the bill, unbeknownst to us, for "Vero Water." Is that what the other reviewer says is water service? We requested regular tap water. Bottom line, it's a line item that I bet they find no one questions when they get the bill. It's a small enough charge. A clever "ploy"? At the same time, why add a $1.50 charge? Seems petty when we all know restaurants have also been increasing their prices pretty regularly since covid. :( If you're visiting Miami, YOU MUST VISIT COCONUT GROVE. Stroll the streets, do some shopping, head down to the water, have a frozen drink at Monty's, HAVE A MEAL AT STRADA. Worth renting a car to explore the other areas around S Miami - downtown, Bayside, the Design District, Key Biscayne. We stayed in Miami Beach and were a 30 min drive from all of these places. If you're feeling adventurous, take a day trip down to the Keys - even all the way down to Key West (3 hr drive) to witness the incredible sunset. Totally worth it. I digress. :) STRADA IS ALL THAT. The ambiance was nice, cozy, comfortable, and not too loud. I had their lemonade which was amazing! Nothing like a fresh squeezed drink to break down the carbs. LOL. It's grilled or pan fried polenta sticks on a bed of the most delicious cheese fondue ever served in a cast iron skillet. You want to like the skillet. (I've also seen Erik Spoelstra, coach of the Miami Heat eat here once so I figured hey-- it has to be good, right?). Short story: yes, it's good. Really good. Nice options available -- from pasta, to salad, to fish. You can choose what suits your palate. I ordered the Fettuccine al Ragu and it was fantastic. I'm a huge eater and was worried about portion size but it hit the spot. Did I mention they include bread to start of the meal? And it's fire. Service was solid. One comment is that even though we made a reservation, we still had to wait ~15 mins to be seated. And we saw other people who ostensibly didn't have reservations (with relatively same size group) get seated before us. It wasn't until we pointed that out that we were seated. Would hope that in the future they prioritize those who make reservations in advance. Especially in Miami summer heat/humidity! Would for sure consider returning. read more
